friday (?) survivors Friday comes again, but this time it's much more gentle. There are no songs ousting you from your rooms, no — instead, you are allowed to sleep however long you would like as long as it does not breach any rules. If you attempt to open your datapad, however, you will be greeted with a video and accompanying music, of a different sort of persuasion from the music played previously — this one is not a jangly easy listening style tune, but rather a haunting and dreamlike elegy. Turning off your datapad will make the video disappear, but restarting the datapad will only bring the video back up again. Despite this, nothing out of the ordinary seems to occur. You have lunch, wander the garden, and have a drink with the companions you have made in the past two weeks. Soon, mid-afternoon comes. ENTER COMMAND_

[ Around 4:30PM, a piercing scream rings out. It seems like it's coming from the office. ]

[ well, shit. dave was having such a nice day, too. when you hear a piercing scream you run towards it, so. he supposes to the office he goes? ]

[YEAH. Don't mind him as he quickly runs in that direction. Screaming is never a good sign at all.]

[Well, she's not panicked about it, but she'll be heading that way anyway. TIME TO INVESTIGATE.]

[ pops into the office to grab and scold dave for GIVING HER A GODDAMN HEART ATTACK, and goes to look for death elsewhere.

[okay, because some people are wrapped up in fake screaming, Grell's decided that instead, she's going to head towards the cafeteria in order to get her hands on afternoon tea and let the others deal with the noise. (seriously, it's the exact same scream? it's false. people scream differently all the time.)

[It's light enough that it won't be immediately visible unless she's looking carefully at the ground, but there appears to be a smudged bloodstain on the floor directly outside of the entrance to the cafeteria.]

[Emily was in her room during all that commotion so she... hears the multiple screams. She might as well help this time so she will make sure nobody killed the ballpit again. Heading that way??? There's probably nothing in the room hallway, right???]

[Doesn't look like there's anything in the daycare or the hallway leading up to it.]

[ Well now that he knows the alarm was just a prank (how strange), Kazuma's off to do one of his favorite pastimes: stare out into the viewport at space.]

[Okay while the Scooby gang's busy screwing around and NOT FINDING A BODY, Luke's busy and disappearing into the chapel to poke at the archives again since the screams...aren't...useful. Typical everyday stuff. What else is new?]

[ Elizabeth was in the middle of trying to find the source of well.. everything and waves off Harold. A slow jog and she meets up with her. ]

[ Look, spaceboat. Machias just wants to spend his Friday uninterrupted and without any loud music and dead bodies popping up prior to study time. Are you gonna let him?

Well, with that mess going on in the office, so much for “uninterrupted”. Assuming everyone's already left, Machias is heading from the cafeteria into the conference room to see what the hell happened. ]

[ Looks pretty calm in here. Some sad chairs waiting for a meeting to happen so they get some use. ]

[Dorian is supposed to be patrolling, probably, but instead he was just breaking for a nap. Woken by the sound of the murder music and the screams, he's rushing out of his room to try to have a look around.]

[The elevator corridor looks like a great place for a nap! But there doesn't seem to be anything off about it.]

[ the music still isn't much to minako's liking, but it's marginally better than what's been played in the past. she wasn't able to catch where the scream was coming from when she heard it, but being closest to the room where they all woke up in originally, she decides to check in there first.

with her datapad in hand (just in case), she makes her way there. ]

[ And Jack will tag along! But of course, Jack tagging along means "colorful" commentary. Minako probably was almost free of being subjected to his presence, and yet right before she gets there, he wanders up to be helpful, alas. ]

[Everyone's datapads suddenly begin vibrating and emitting a loud and harsh beeping sound at once. AL-2955's voice echoes throughout the ship.]

A body has been found. The investigation has begun.
