WEEK TWO - Investigation

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (2)

friday

(?) survivors

Friday comes again, but this time it's much more gentle. There are no songs ousting you from your rooms, no — instead, you are allowed to sleep however long you would like as long as it does not breach any rules. If you attempt to open your datapad, however, you will be greeted with a video and accompanying music, of a different sort of persuasion from the music played previously — this one is not a jangly easy listening style tune, but rather a haunting and dreamlike elegy. Turning off your datapad will make the video disappear, but restarting the datapad will only bring the video back up again.

Despite this, nothing out of the ordinary seems to occur. You have lunch, wander the garden, and have a drink with the companions you have made in the past two weeks. Soon, mid-afternoon comes.

When precisely did I advise either of you to begin panicking?

[why this]
chiseler: (nothing more to say)

[He's finally going to leave the stand to come join them at the pew, immediately lounging on it.]

Then what do you suggest? No panicking, no making jokes about it...what else can we do while everybody's playing junior detective?
socloverit: (do that dance smokin' in the girl's room)

He's got a point. Not that it's any fun to sit around and wait, and we should get caught up, but with so many of us and not a whole lot of space, we're probably just gonna get in the way if we jump in the middle of someone else's investigation...

[especially given that "junior detective" just about sums up the skillset available around here. murdergames are so much easier when there are only nine of you snooping around at any given time, yeesh]
bloodbiter: (are you spaghettifying on me)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2016-06-18 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
All I am suggesting is that this might not be the time to make jokes given our current situation.

[smh luke!!]
chiseler: (well it's all because of me)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-18 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
[A shrug. He should have more manners than this, but how do you dredge up enough fucks to give when you're usually the one to instigate stuff???]

Look. Our current situation's not gonna change anytime soon, so why not? I'm just saying we might have a better chance at figuring all of this out if we're not taking it entirely seriously.
socloverit: (but i need to know)

[personal profile] socloverit 2016-06-18 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
A discovery fake-out's not really hurting anyone... But we'll ease up with you around if you want.

[yes, "we," she's dragging Luke into this. her instinct to sass and make murder jokes just barely comes secondary to her concern for murdergame children and Adelina is definitely a child!!

but like she's not gonna stop making rude murder jokes. just pause them
