WEEK TWO - Investigation

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (2)

friday

(?) survivors

Friday comes again, but this time it's much more gentle. There are no songs ousting you from your rooms, no — instead, you are allowed to sleep however long you would like as long as it does not breach any rules. If you attempt to open your datapad, however, you will be greeted with a video and accompanying music, of a different sort of persuasion from the music played previously — this one is not a jangly easy listening style tune, but rather a haunting and dreamlike elegy. Turning off your datapad will make the video disappear, but restarting the datapad will only bring the video back up again.

Despite this, nothing out of the ordinary seems to occur. You have lunch, wander the garden, and have a drink with the companions you have made in the past two weeks. Soon, mid-afternoon comes.

[ And Machias nods back politely to Allen! ]

Not at all. Seems like it's under control in here, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to have another look around.

[ That, and mostly he just wants to see if the whiteboard is safe. Let's head on in and see! ]

[ Is the whiteboard safe? Allen will peer curiously at it. ]

That's true, especially considering what happened last time with the needle.

[ If there's nothing wrong with the whiteboard, he'll take a page out of Emily's book and look in the trash. Just to make sure, y'know. ]

But I'm surprised they didn't wake us up with another "gift" again.

[ It better be safe because he just cleaned it this morning! If nothing's really out of place on or behind it, Machias is going to focus his attention on the floor as he walks around. You know, in case we're missing something that blends in. ]

Tell me about it: that, and the makeup. Had we found that sooner, we wouldn't have gone in such circles.

[ Is he a little cranky over that; yes, he is. It's an awfully careless mistake, one that could have cost all of them. ]

I wish I could say I'm glad they didn't. [ He shakes his head. ] It still doesn't change we've lost another victim to this sick game. And from the sound of it, our killer's opted to target them right under our noses too.

[ Does he sound peeved over that; yes, he does. ]
