WEEK 6

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (6)

monday - thursday

(31) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

(OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.)

ENTER COMMAND_
chiseler: (ain't it beautiful? so unusual)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-13 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[This dumb shitcat...but out of the people that could have come bother him, Adrien isn't a terrible choice. In fact, Luke's tilting his head back to look at him briefly before looking back at the airlock door.]

What about a run? I kinda like speed. [May as well counter with his own terrible joke.]
monsieurchatastrophe: (look at it all so big)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-13 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[he pretends to think about it] Hmmm... You're out of luck, I think. I'm pretty sure you need gravity to run.
chiseler: (hit 'em right between the eyes)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-13 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Without gravity it'll be a dramatic run then. [Solemnly. But he frowns lightly and looks ahead again.] You really think that'd be the worst choice at this point? [He...doesn't seem suicidal or anything, but he likes to look at his options.]
monsieurchatastrophe: (no)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-13 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[wow don't scare the small child with such a dark subject?? he's serious when he answers:]

Yes. This project isn't the end of things, even if it feels that way sometimes. We're getting out, without a walk out the airlock.
chiseler: (too heavy to hold my own evaporatin soul)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-13 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's not used to dealing with small pure children okay, gosh. But he's giving the airlock another thoughtful look. There are a few things he has in mind to counter Adrien's point, but nothing he can really actively share.]

…when we first got here, some people didn't think we were actually in space. Have you checked out the zero gravity room we just got access to? If that room can be changed to mimic stuff…I mean. [It's a stupid thing to think about. He was convinced they were in space, and he's running on little sleep and a little bit of his own manic energy.] Who says the airlock really opens to space and not somewhere else?
monsieurchatastrophe: (and so I'll read a book)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-13 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I think Emily mentioned something like that. I thought about it, but... [he looks out the airlock with a shrug] If it does lead elsewhere, why would they leave it so easy to access? All you'd need to do is put on a suit to check.

[didn't you just tell him not to take a walk, adrien]
chiseler: (we'll be fine after all?)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-13 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Grell didn't believe me either when we first got here. [A glance back.] Think about it this way. With everything that's happened to us we've all been sort of groomed to be suspicious of everything. How many people do you know would have the guts to try exiting out the airlock after everything?
monsieurchatastrophe: (when will my life begin?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-13 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[he considers that question and then grins]

Off the top of my head? I can think of a handful.

[listen if the question is how many people here are reckless assholes then the answer is "most of the teens" luke you know this]
chiseler: (nothing left to lose)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-13 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[…he snickers after that.] Good point. Even so, you gotta wonder if anybody's going to try it while all of this is going on. You're the one who just told me to keep the door closed.
monsieurchatastrophe: (when will my life begin?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-13 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't even have a suit on and as far as I know, you can't breathe in space. If you were going all-out astronaut, maybe I'd have let you try it.

[maybe, he says, like he is luke's babysitter instead of everyone's cute younger sibling on this ship]
chiseler: (sets off an unsuspecting herd)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-13 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Maybe." Adrien, I'm pretty sure I'm more qualified than you to go into space with or without a suit. [Don't go without a suit, Luke. And honestly he sure does need a babysitter but shut up.] How hard can it be? […hm.] If somebody does snap this week, maybe we can get the executed to open the airlock and see how it goes.

[Why did you engage with him…why this.]
monsieurchatastrophe: (start on the chores and sweep)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-13 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
That's not funny, Luke. [wow it turns out after a month and a half sOMEONE still doesn't like talking about murder or executing people? incredible. shocking. it's a pretty mild call-out considering the subject matter, though] If we do want to test out the airlock-- legitimately-- then we should wait for a time when everyone isn't sleep-deprived.

[i mean. logic, amirite]
chiseler: (tell me)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
[He grins anyway. Sure it's funny. It's funny to somebody with a warped sense of humor.]

Okay, and what happens if we test out the airlock and we can't bring back whoever we send? Wouldn't it make more sense to wait until someone's going to die anyway…? [It's callous, yes, but:] …it'd probably be way less painful than the retirement they go through.
monsieurchatastrophe: (if I have time to spare)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, dying in the void of space is usually painless.

[luke???? no????]
chiseler: (no one really knew it was really only u)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
[He lifts up both hands, sort of weighing them back and forth in a motion to indicate it's debatable before he gets to his feet. Bye Adrien, Luke's being nosy to go examine some of the suits and stare up at the showerheads.]

Here's the other question. Why are we just now getting to see this? It's been…what, a month and a half?
monsieurchatastrophe: (a few new paintings to my galle)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know. They open up new spots every time we finish a trial. Do you think it's supposed to be some sort of... reward?

[for getting the right one or just for playing along, he's not sure]
chiseler: (and as you step back into line)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Either that or it's to make sure we're playing right to them. Haven't you noticed something? Every time someone dies, it usually takes place in one of the new areas we get. The garden, the pool...[It's almost like it's asking for someone to be thrown out of airlock.] I'd like to see what they come up with after they run out of areas to unlock.
monsieurchatastrophe: (just feel that summer breeze)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Or maybe when they run out of areas to unlock is when the project stops. I'm not sure I want this to happen long enough to find out, personally.

[when does it stop and how does it stop: probably the bad end scenario tbh]
chiseler: (of this meltin heart of major compromise)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
--huh. Did not even think of that...[But it's a pretty good point.] Nothing else seems to be locking up anymore so there's basis for that, too. There's...31 of us left, right? Maybe they're also waiting for us to reach a certain number before the project's over.
monsieurchatastrophe: ('til the floor's all clean)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
...Maybe. [that also makes sense and... is... terrible :C] I don't know about you, but I don't want to find out first hand how this project is supposed to end.
chiseler: (Default)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think any of us really want to find out how it's supposed to end. But I also don't feel like sitting here waiting for whatever Alice has next.
monsieurchatastrophe: (should I?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Me neither. There's gotta be something... [ah. wait.] That's why you were thinking of taking a walk out on space?
chiseler: (nice work you did)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[A shrug.] Something like that. I'm not quite suicidal enough to break her rules completely, but there's always limits to push.
monsieurchatastrophe: (and so I'll read a book)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
There are better things to test limits with than your life. [>:/ smh... though that reminds him of something he's meant to ask a while back:] You can unlock doors, right? Normally.
chiseler: (hit 'em right between the eyes)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[...where are you going with this, Agreste.] Yeah. I mean it's not just doors, it's pretty much all locks. Why?
