WEEK 6

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (6)

monday - thursday

(31) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

(OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.)

chiseler: (and as you step back into line)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Either that or it's to make sure we're playing right to them. Haven't you noticed something? Every time someone dies, it usually takes place in one of the new areas we get. The garden, the pool...[It's almost like it's asking for someone to be thrown out of airlock.] I'd like to see what they come up with after they run out of areas to unlock.
monsieurchatastrophe: (just feel that summer breeze)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Or maybe when they run out of areas to unlock is when the project stops. I'm not sure I want this to happen long enough to find out, personally.

[when does it stop and how does it stop: probably the bad end scenario tbh]
chiseler: (of this meltin heart of major compromise)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
--huh. Did not even think of that...[But it's a pretty good point.] Nothing else seems to be locking up anymore so there's basis for that, too. There's...31 of us left, right? Maybe they're also waiting for us to reach a certain number before the project's over.
monsieurchatastrophe: ('til the floor's all clean)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
...Maybe. [that also makes sense and... is... terrible :C] I don't know about you, but I don't want to find out first hand how this project is supposed to end.
chiseler: (Default)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think any of us really want to find out how it's supposed to end. But I also don't feel like sitting here waiting for whatever Alice has next.
monsieurchatastrophe: (should I?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Me neither. There's gotta be something... [ah. wait.] That's why you were thinking of taking a walk out on space?
chiseler: (nice work you did)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[A shrug.] Something like that. I'm not quite suicidal enough to break her rules completely, but there's always limits to push.
monsieurchatastrophe: (and so I'll read a book)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
There are better things to test limits with than your life. [>:/ smh... though that reminds him of something he's meant to ask a while back:] You can unlock doors, right? Normally.
chiseler: (hit 'em right between the eyes)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[...where are you going with this, Agreste.] Yeah. I mean it's not just doors, it's pretty much all locks. Why?
monsieurchatastrophe: ('til the floor's all clean)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[he's looking at his hand with the ring when he speaks] It's some kind of power, right? And it just... doesn't work? Nothing happens?
chiseler: (and turning all against the one)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[To tell the truth, or not to tell the truth...] ...nah, it works. But it only works on one lock a day instead of how it usually works. [But that sure does confirm it's a power versus a skill, so there's that.]
monsieurchatastrophe: (start on the chores and sweep)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[that gets him to look up] But not on the "locked" areas?

[adrien start explaining yourself u sound fishy]
chiseler: (sets off an unsuspecting herd)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yeah he's. Skeptical as shit suddenly.]

I've tried. Doesn't work on an area that's not actively unlocked to us, no. Not yet, anyway. What exactly are you getting at?
monsieurchatastrophe: (here I go)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Just-- confirming something. [there's a bit of an hesitation as he speaks, like he's choosing his words carefully] There's a power I haven't tested out here yet... I can destroy anything I touch. I know it's more limited here [a weird thing to be sure of, since he just said he hadn't tried it out yet] but I've been afraid of trying to break a door open and getting the operating system so out of whack that we end up... well, out the airlock.
chiseler: (like a bomb threat)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[Huh. Whatever, if Adrien's goal was for Luke to pay attention to something besides the airlock it totally worked.]

This have to do with the whole good luck bad luck thing? [Breaking things sounds like bad luck, and it's not-quite asking if it's suit-related or something else.] Why not just test it on something like one of the lockers in the gym? That shouldn't have a huge effect on anything. [A pause.] You're sure it's limited?
monsieurchatastrophe: (look at it all so big)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[its a two in one because adrien did want some confirmation too for real]

Yeah. The luck is just... an easier way to say it. I'm destruction and she's creation. [it sounds less terrible when he says bad luck, basically.] Testing it on something small isn't a bad idea, but I didn't really want to make a spectacle of it, and if I don't explain how something ended up broken like that, people might ... panic. [people go nuts over the slightest detail here. he shrugs helplessly] I don't know about the capacity of it, but I know I could only do it once a day.
chiseler: (living a cliche)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[Sorry, he's snorting if only because it sounds so bizarre.] If you break something why couldn't Marinette fix it? If she's creation wouldn't that sort of go hand-in-hand?
monsieurchatastrophe: (just smell the grass the dirt)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
She does back home. [he grimaces a bit as he thinks about it] It's-- amazing, but it's not exactly subtle.

[he's considering it, tho, wondering what the light show would look like in the middle of the night]
chiseler: (you're getting better all the time)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
So then this is what you do. [Luke why do you already have a plan...] You wait until it's late, maybe like 1 or 2am and head down to the gym. Maybe even the pool, whatever. I doubt anybody's gonna go for a swim anytime soon...you test your destruction powers on something small and then Marinette can attempt to fix it. And if that doesn't work, find somebody to blame it on.

[#solidplan]
monsieurchatastrophe: (should I?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[...why does luke already have a plan]

And-- what are we doing all of this for, exactly? I know I said I hadn't tested it, but.
chiseler: (ain't it beautiful? so unusual)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[Not on Luke's profile: capable of making up shit on the fly that may or may not work. But he looks oddly serious when he responds.]

Because we don't know how long we're going to be stuck playing this game, and I'm thinking it's better that you test that now than get stuck in a situation where you wished you knew how it'd work. [It wouldn't be such a serious manner if he himself hadn't been thrown into shitty situations and left to make up as he went. Thanks, nightmare motive, for the reminder.] Unless you want it to be a surprise to you and everyone else. Guess it was just a thought since you're the one who brought it up.
monsieurchatastrophe: (a few new paintings to my galle)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I know how it works. [wow adrien no need to sound defensive is the hypothetical scenario offending you???] That's not why I brought it up. I kept thinking of the what ifs if I tries it on something and things got worse, but it might be worth a shot to try it anyway. [he points to the airlock] ...And now that I know where the exit is, it's a lot less worrying to try to force doors open.
chiseler: (you're getting better all the time)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[He holds up his hands in mock-defense. Sheesh, put your claws away kid it's JUST a suggestion.] I don't get how you know how it works on this ship if you haven't tried it yet. [A pause.] Could be the same way I know what of mine's missing though. [So…it's a fair point.]

Consider it at least. Let me know what you decide. [A shrug.] Or not, up to you. […please tell him, it'll give him something else to think about other than how much he wants to beat his head into the spaceship wall.]
monsieurchatastrophe: (and so I'll read a book)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-14 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Cat instincts.

[yes. that is the explanation he's going with. listen it's not even a lie so... he doesn't even sound like he's lying.]

I'll... need to ask Marinette if she thinks it's a good idea, but I'm pretty sure she'll be onboard. [since she wanted him to try it on a door in the first few weeks. he smiles at Luke] I'll let you know either way. It might be good for someone else than us to know the results.

[and he... picked luke to be that person, okay adrien, that's. that is a choice.]
chiseler: (nothing more to say)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-14 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Do cats really have instincts? [Listen he wasn't lying when he told Shelley he doesn't have much experience with cats.] I'll take your word for it.

[He blinks in surprise, if only because he didn't actually think that'd work. Fastforward to weeks later when Adrien might regret that choice. Ah well.] Couldn't hurt though. Not like I have anybody else to tell anyway.
