WEEK FOUR
| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (4) |
monday - thursday (33) survivors ![]() Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods. (OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.) taken list profiles private conversations setting rulebook murder proposals ENTER COMMAND_ |

[It takes some coaxing to get him back out of his room after discovering Todd-soup cooking in the kitchen, but it's only because of overthinking on Roxy's suggestion in the pod room that he bothers. That's how he finds himself walking down to the dry storage room. Anybody's free to notice him walking down there with what looks like pencils and a lot of paper.
It's once he gets down to the bottom deck that it becomes clear he has a goal in mind. Anyone in the dry storage will find him in the back corner scaling shelves to try and pop open a vent. Sorry of things fall from the shelves toward you! But seriously, what is he doing? Feel free to ask.]
Tuesday-onward, with Grell
[All things considered, being handcuffed to someone like Grell isn’t the worst thing possible. She was polite enough and definitely sharp enough for him to behave for the most part and after the initial awkwardness and short bickering that came with the discussion of arrangements (Luke’s still not happy about sleeping on the floor all week, thank you very much) they agree to explore the new territories of the ship.
That’s how they wind up in the art storage room and they don’t get too far before Luke bumps into a sculpture and pauses just long enough before he starts cracking up, almost missing Grell’s comment. Anyone who gets close enough should be able to overhear what the hell is so funny and the other running commentary being provided as they examine the room.]
Monday;
So, he follows with the intent to speak to him, but he has to step to the side a bit to avoid the things falling out. }
...And the reason why you're doing this is because...?
{ No. Really, he's curious. Enlighten him. }
no subject
Because Roxy brought up a good idea and I have nothing else to do. Can't I pretend to be a useful member of society? [Read as: "I'm probably vaguely traumatized and this is a lot better than hiding in my room until the robots drag me out."]
no subject
Right now what you're doing doesn't seem to be 'pretending' at doing something useful. I assume it's for a good reason.
{ ... }
What else convinced you to follow up on her idea? Besides not having anything else to.
no subject
Most everything I do is for a good reason. [Even if maybe it's a wrong one, but he's convinced himself he has good reasoning most of the time. At least he doesn't have to try and sugarcoat what he wants to say around Arumat.] Something's using the vents to get around the ship. I'd rather know all of our options before we're sneaked up on.
no subject
Thought so.
{ Sugarcoating is something Arumat doesn't engage in at all -- well, he tried like one time and it failed. Naturally, he appreciates it when someone doesn't do so to him.
At Luke's explanation, he'll nod. }
Some kind of creature that AL-2955 knows about. Even if that AI acts oblivious -- she is "all-seeing".
Either way, it's best not to go it alone. If you see anything in there, pull out and I'll be able to kill it in one blow.
{ He does kinda carry around his scythe now almost everywhere he goes. }
no subject
A creature or a person. I'm not sure yet. [Judging by what they found in the kitchen though he's leaning more toward monster, yeah.] ...Alice said she didn't know the cafeteria doors were blocked off. Seems a little weird for an all-seeing AI. [He looks back up at the vent and then back at the scythe curiously...and also a little warily. (His history with scythes is a little...eh.)] How's it work?

Are you trying to hide out in the vents?
[is luke playing hide and seek. is this how he deals with todd soup trauma. is adrien now both a vegetarian and glad he didnt bother going to the cafeteria this morning.]
no subject
Close. We should maybe make sure that nothing else is hiding out in the vents. [Do...do we tell the small child about the kitchen vents? Decisions, decisions.] Roxy brought up a good point that Alice has a map of the ventilation system to give to anybody who goes after a vulnerable, but it can't hurt to make our own map, too.
no subject
That's... really not a bad idea. [DON'T SOUND SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED ADRIEN YOU DICK] How were you thinking of doing it? Just going in and drawing?
no subject
That was sort of the plan. I'm not a mapmaker or anything but I know enough about traveling and paths to figure out how to make a decent layout. [Not to mention. You know. Crawling around Daedalus's labyrinth kinda helped.] I'm just missing one thing and I think we're set.
[He gestures up to the vent's opening.] You know how we thought this was the only open vent on the ship? Not true.
no subject
[he is genuinely curious and has No Idea. things he does have an idea on, though:]
More open vents... how did you guys find that out? [he has a feeling he knows, though]
no subject
Found one in the cafeteria that somebody used sometime after the trial. Leads from the kitchen to the arrival room.

monday
Hey, come on. This might be all we have.
no subject
You don't think there's another storage room around here somewhere? We keep finding new rooms every week. [And there goes a can of spam falling from a shelf, whoops.]
no subject
I think this counts as attempted murder.
no subject
Anyway, you'll thank me for this once it's done.
no subject
Are you sealing it off? The art room has some tools.
no subject
Yeah? What kind of tools are you thinking? I wanted to map the system out first but sealing them off isn't a bad idea.

monday
she's not doing anything suspicious. she's just in the vents, for some reason.
hi, luke. there's a very surprised yuno hanging out of the vent. ]
no subject
What're you doing. [Yuno you're the one who started this, just remember that.] Get out of there.
no subject
Why are you going in there?
[ with her fingers hooked into the edges, she can step down, and her feet are light. maybe it's just because yuno herself is tiny, though, not exactly a whole lot of weight to toss around here. ]
no subject
We didn't get a chance to really look around when we got in on Saturday. I wanna see where these go.
no subject
okay its more like yuno is rummaging through the map she's concocted in her head. ]
The once that goes left goes in the art storage room. There's a raised vent you can climb onto and that'll take you through the hallway with the waterfall into the archives. [ yuno looks at him through the corner of her eye. ]
You still look suspicious.
no subject
Sure about that? I'm not the one who was already in the vents. [Just a point.] What's so suspicious about wanting to know where people can go around this ship?
