WEEK FOUR

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (4)

monday - thursday

(33) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

(OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.)

monsieurchatastrophe: (just feel that summer breeze)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-29 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
... Everyone will know how to get around in the vents.

[adrien doesn't want to think any one of them could've done... that shit to todd or even maria and niles, and he's still hopeful people will stop murdering (ffs) but the fact of the matter is the option is still there whether he wants it to be or not]

Isn't there a way we could block all the vents, somehow?
chiseler: (when the traffic's stuck)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-29 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Now you're getting it. [And while Luke isn't exactly known for being entirely trustworthy or...normal in his thinking, he's been wondering the same thing. He's of the belief that it's more than possible somebody else is running around and unaccounted for. (It's not like it's a tactic he's used in the past or anything...no, never.)]

Maybe. The vents were pretty dusty so it's not like that's actually how we're getting air is it? [How do vents work, he's spent most of his life living outside.] Only way we could block 'em would be to hammer the openings down or something.
monsieurchatastrophe: (start on the chores and sweep)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-29 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[frowns as he gets up]

Would that be enough for them to be completely inaccessible? [enough people have Some strength... then he sighs] I'm asking that, but I can't think of any other way to block them with what we have here.

[@ alice give us soldering tools]
chiseler: (another promise just make a change)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-29 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Considering that someone or something ripped one of the pod doors off its hinges, probably not. The only other option would be mapping out the vents and then making sure they were blocked from the other side with something heavy enough. Unless you think Alice would actually help us considering she's playing stupid.
monsieurchatastrophe: (and so I'll read a book)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-29 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Something? Do you think there's something else with us here? [dark luke tell him ur conspiracy theories. for the rest, though:] I don't know. Even if she really doesn't know anything about this, if it could help stop someone from playing the "game", I doubt she'd be willing to help us out there.
chiseler: (with a signal that's out of range)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-29 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
It's possible. Where I'm from we always had monsters lurking around the perimeters of camp. That's why we had a barrier in the first place, but that still didn't stop people from being capable of summoning them inside. If Alice isn't going to help us then we start asking around to people who can be trusted. Start searching rooms for tools. Stuff like that.

[...granted that means finding people to trust but whatever, people constantly want to adopt Adrien. Shouldn't be that hard to find somebody who'll listen to him.]
monsieurchatastrophe: (should I?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-29 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Monsters, huh... [honestly it probably shouldn't be but that theory is so reassuring to adrien because that is a much better alternative to these fucked up murders??? subscribed and followed]

I'm guessing you already have an idea who you consider trustworthy? [everyone has their own but since its Luke's idea adrien will defer to who he's willing to tell]
chiseler: (ain't it beautiful? so unusual)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-29 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
It's possible. [He's not entirely sure about it, but really. The pod door was either destroyed by a really strong person or a monster so. Then again "it's possible" works as an answer to the other question too.] I have some ideas in mind but we are playing a murder game. Gonna have to be people we can keep track of pretty easily like Dave and Clover and you. Maybe Shelley. Couple of others.
monsieurchatastrophe: (here I go)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-29 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Marinette. If I'm trustworthy, she is too. We're partners. [the rest he thinks it over, first:] Clover tells Light everything, and Dave wouldn't hide anything from Roxy either. [what is this teen army...] So that's already eight people.
chiseler: (when you walk away)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-29 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[Was that a snort at the mention of Marinette? No, never.] …Arumat, too. He hates this place about as much as I do. At this rate we're gonna end up with at least a third of the ship as "trustworthy." Maybe it won't even matter if we can figure out a good way to seal them up and only one or two people know the sealing method. You can know the route all you want. Can't do much if you can't get in or out.
monsieurchatastrophe: (look at it all so big)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-29 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[listen... LISTEN he heard that snort and isn't acknowledging it he's WORKING ON THAT]

I don't think anyone likes this place. [ur not special luke] We should concentrate on blocking the vents first, then. Once we know where they all are. We might not have any string, but they added art supplies, didn't they? There's got to be chalk or something like that. We can mark it that way.
chiseler: (making a living making a killing)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-29 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Guess that could work? [He'll glance just once to see where Adrien is before he's jumping down from the shelf and vent and landing next to him.] And if that doesn't work I guess we can use some of the paint I've got back in my room.
monsieurchatastrophe: (start on the chores and sweep)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-29 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[the face of a kid FAR TOO USED to people landing next to him tbh fucking superheroes]

Why do you have paint in your room?
chiseler: (man he never had a chance)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-29 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
To..paint? What do you think I'd be doing with paint?
monsieurchatastrophe: (should I?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-29 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I... don't know. I guess you didn't strike me as the painting type? [listen. listen you basically set yourself on fire this weekend that doesn't strike him as luke being an artist. he tries to make up for it with some genuine curiosity:] What kind of stuff do you paint?
chiseler: (breaking in a sweat)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-29 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's not wrong.] Camp had arts and crafts. Sometimes I had to supervise my cabin and some of the other kids. [Though that's a little bit of a harder question.] It's not so much about painting things but painting whatever seems like a good idea at the time. Some people write letters. Writing takes too long so I paint things from where I'm from.

[So probably weapons and trees and explosions and random crap he remembers. It's a good time-killer and less personal than letters.]
monsieurchatastrophe: (and so I'll read a book)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-29 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a pretty nice idea. I haven't even thought about writing a letter or anything like that. [though there is one thing that stood out to him:] You were at a camp before coming here?
chiseler: (no one really knew it was really only u)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-30 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
[He makes a face, gesturing for Adrien to follow to their new art room to start looking for chalk.]

Sort of. Haven't been back for a couple of years, kinda got caught up in some other stuff...ended up living on a boat for a while and taking care of business on the other side of the country. But I lived there year-round for a while.
monsieurchatastrophe: "um zia you used the reprise and skipped lyrics" fight me (that's when my life begins)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-30 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
[he falls into step easily]

Year-round? So you never went home? [he sounds way more fascinated by the concept than he should be and doesn't give luke any time to answer his first questions before he continues:] What's living on a boat like?
Edited 2016-06-30 00:20 (UTC)
chiseler: (hit 'em right between the eyes)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-30 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Hey if Adrien's moving on to another question then Luke sure doesn't have to answer the first one right now.]

Better than living under bridges or in a cabin with dozens of other people. [The Princess Andromeda was a weird, weird time.] I steered it wherever I wanted to go for a couple of years. Ended up down by the Panama Canal for a while, over to San Francisco...[A shrug. At least the art room isn't too far and in they go.] Probably would've been on it for longer if the thing didn't get blown up.
monsieurchatastrophe: (and I'm halfway through it)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-30 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Blown up? [he asks this at the same time as he goes to look for chalk which idk if there is because im on mobile, oops] That's... a little bit more explosive than I expected life on a boat to be.

[ba dum tsh]
chiseler: (life's a gas and it's running out)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-30 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, the appeal sunk pretty fast after that. [A sharp grin. Chalk chalk chalk, there should at least be chalk somewhere.] There were just some people that didn't want to leave any traces behind. You know how that goes.
monsieurchatastrophe: (and I'm halfway through it)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-06-30 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[the pun gets a laugh out of Adrien, but the following absolutely does not. that sounds criminal, luke!!!]

I... can't say that I do?

[and, because i finally looked it up:]

I don't think there's any chalk here. There's a few brushes, though?
chiseler: (you're gonna go far kid)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-06-30 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Well aren't you lucky. [He's pretty smooth about it and brushing past the topic PLEASE DON'T ASK FOR DETAILS, ADRIEN, give him time to think of something to make up.] Brushes will work, I set aside another jar of green paint to take back to my room later. We'll just use that. Either that or find a color that'll match the vents better so it doesn't look so obvious.
monsieurchatastrophe: (look at it all so big)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-01 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[he'll let it go because he's polite enough to tell when a subject's been dropped but Adrien Will Remember That]

If the color's dark enough no one would be able to see it. I wasn't kidding when I said night vision was useful in there.
