monday - thursday (33) survivors Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. [Hopefully Adrien can land on all fours when Luke ends up throwing him out of the vents :| But in all seriousness it takes a few short minutes after Adrien's already in the vents that Luke climbs the shelves and jumps up, carefully squeezing his way up and using all four of his limbs to balance himself. Having above-average athletic ability and intense dexterity helps a lot. But it's up up and away and…eventually…he gets himself lodged in there to where it's not entirely a straight shot. 10 points, etc. Let's not talk about how much harder that is than it should be.]

[he's just waiting patiently while Luke struggles to get up, being a shitty cat with superpowers. He pretends to think about his question then shrugs, completely casual]

Yeah, let me just pull it out of my pocket. [He pauses though, seemingly listening for something before pointing to an opening to the left.] Head that way. Should be a good place to start. [It's probably not north, but whatever.]

[are they like, drawing on a piece of paper as they walk because im pretending so in my head it is hilarious. Adrien nods and crawls forward, though he pauses:]

[because you can't see in the dark luke what if there's a murderer living in the vents. what if there's a sudden drop!!!]

[This is going to probably be the shittiest map ever, sorry to everyone on the ship. There's a pen in his hand and paint that's going to go on the ground behind Luke as they move and it's going to be kind of a mess that only he will maybe be able to interpret.]

Probably. If we come to a split in the vents, we'll split up. You and I are both on the valued list this week so we should be okay.

[He pulls out his datapad from his pocket, pressing a button for it to light up. It's a very low glow, but.]

Oh. Good idea. Too bad there isn't a flashlight application on those.

They make those now? [Says the dude who absolutely does not have a cell phone ever.] This is just gonna have to work. It's better than what we've had in the past.

Actual flashlights. And sometimes other stuff. We didn't keep a lot of technology around so I don't even know what smartphones can do now.

Way more than a phone should, honestly. Your camp wasn't much for electronics? [that's rough, buddy]

Think of it this way. We kind of wanted to eliminate anything that made it a lot easier to find us and phones were pretty much a honing beacon back home. [And off they go crawling around like a couple of dumbasses.] Plus I didn't have a job and paying for a plan seemed pretty hard.

[He's...mostly kidding.]

... I'm not one to judge about people's lives being weird [he wears a fursuit to fight crime is he even allowed] but your camp is starting to sound weirder by the minute.

[chiseler]

You're the one dressed up to the point that you even have a bell around your neck, and I'm the weird one? [There, let's just say it for him.] Let's just say it was a special kind of camp.

It's my aesthetic. [completely deadpan. and that special thing gets a side-eye that Luke can't see as they continue to crawl] "Special"... as in, special forces?

[adrien he was not in an army camp ffs]

[There's an amused snort, though whether it's at the "aesthetic" or the question it's unclear.]

Special as in only a few kinds of people are even allowed inside. Guess you could say it's kinda like training to fight though, sure. [There's a smirk. Ah, yes, this guessing game. It's fun for him.]

Ah. I get it. First rule of fight club and all that. [he's definitely sassier with the mask on. or maybe it's the total darkness thing.] You're absolutely sure it was a camp and not a cult, though?

[chiseler]

[Look he can deal with sassy teenagers, he had to put up with Percy's stupid ass for several years. This is right at home even as he's sketching and painting as they move.]

I'd be more likely to spike the kool-aid than drink it, dude. But it's absolutely not a cult. More like a safe haven. [It absolutely sounds like a cult sometimes holy shit.] You slap on a couple of games of Capture the Flag, arts and crafts time, archery, and sword training and it's definitely a camp though. It's just...hidden from most people.

Sooo... less cult, more refuge. That's interesting. I've never been to any camp at all, so I can't say I'd know the difference.

[chiseler]

That's exactly what it is. The other difference is that we could stay at Camp year-round if we want to. But...eventually you grow up and have to leave and you're on your own again.

Is that why you left? They made you?

I chose to. It had nothing to do with anybody making me do anything. [A pause, and some scribbling on his paper. What a nice conversation to have inside the vents where a murderer might be living...] Been a couple of years since I've been back, doesn't matter too much.

[speaking of murderer living quarters:]

There's a split here. Right or straight. It doesn't look like there's a drop yet.

"Yet." [He sounds a little unenthused by that.] I'll take the right if you want to keep going straight ahead. I can figure it out from there.
