Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

I don't really want to take our chances up here in space. [ Will Adam catch the spam? Yes, once he barely manages to avoid it hitting his head. His arms are now full so he has to work on organizing it into the lower shelves. ]

I think this counts as attempted murder.

Don't worry, if you die I'll make the body easier to find. [It's the most dry tone possible and despite the fact he's still making terrible, terrible jokes, he's pretty bothered by...everything. He's even more conscious of what he's doing on the shelves as he pries the vent open so nothing else tumbles off.]

Anyway, you'll thank me for this once it's done.

[ Once things stop falling, Adam leans back and watches him open the vent. That has been concerning, but he's not sure what Luke's going to do about it. ]

Are you sealing it off? The art room has some tools.

[That's enough to get his attention at least.]

Yeah? What kind of tools are you thinking? I wanted to map the system out first but sealing them off isn't a bad idea.

There's a buzzsaw. I wouldn't mind making some planks, but we'd need something to actually attach them to the metal walls. [ Spaceships are hard. ]

A map would be good until then, but... wait, are you going to crawl through it?

Yeah? [It's not a bad plan.] Never really was good at building stuff like that, but it can't hurt. What about a clamp of some kind? [Space is terrible.

But the question also just gets him a look.] How else am I supposed to make a map without crawling through it?

I might be able to make something like that. [ Finally he gets to use his hands for something. ]

But anyway, I'm not sure I trust you crawling through the inner workings of the ship.

Not like we've got anything else to do on this ship. [Adam please help. But wow also rude.] And what's so sketchy about me crawling through the ship's interior?

Just the fact that you can sneak up on anyone at any time. [ What if these things go around their rooms?? ] You need someone to supervise you.

Are you volunteering? [It might be a little sarcastic and mildly insulted but...okay, fair.]

To sit around here while you crawl through the vents and yell out directions for me? [ That is what he's decided to do. ] I guess I could handle it.

Funny. Just try to keep up. [But he'll concede to that since it means it'll get done.] There's nothing in the rulebook against blocking off the vent, is there? [...look...he's just going to associate Adam with obeying rules and following rulebooks. That's his thing now. Congrats, Adam.]

There's something about destruction, but we'd just be adding to it, right? [ Unfortunately he has the whole thing memorized so. ]

Hand me the notepad. Do you know how to give directions?

Adam, I traveled by myself around the east coast without a map before I was 10. I think I know cardinal directions well enough. [He's waiting before he tosses down the notepad and a pen clipped to it.] It's gonna be more about if you can hear from outside of the vent.

I can hear just fine. [ Defensive about his hearing oops, then belatedly realizes that's not what was meant. ]

I mean, I can climb up there and listen. I'll tap on the metal after each direction and if you stop hearing that, I've probably stopped hearing you too.

[Well that's something.]

Did not even think of that. [This is why it's good to have people around, apparently.] Worth a shot. Just ignore the dust up here. [And he's climbing up a few more shelves and the vent's pried open just so he can slip right in there.]

Go for it, Castellan. [ Last name, good or bad? He waits until Luke's securely inside the vent before he climbs up after him. ]

I'll also mark down any rodents or body parts you happen to find. Just scream.

[Huh. He'll take what he can get. He's settled and he knows Adam's behind him and so he starts crawling forward, wrinkling his nose at the dust.]

It's gonna take more than a couple of rats to freak me out. Nobody told you what we found in the kitchen, did they?

Uh, no. [ Why does that sound really ominous. Please tell him it's rats. ]

Does it have something to do with this?

[He wishes it were rats, buddy. At least in the vents Adam can't see his face as he uses the datapad to try and get a sense where they are.]

Yeah. Found a hidden vent in the kitchen that led to the room we all woke up in. Also found Todd. …well. Pieces of him, at least. Pretty sure most of him was there.

[ Adam is also glad Luke can't see his grimace. He's really not looking forward to seeing a dismembered corpse. ]

So I guess that whole reprogramming thing they do with people who don't vote isn't working out. [ He's just going to start drawing the beginning of the map to not think about body parts in the kitchen. ]

It can't be one of us, right?

[Yeah he could have gone without seeing that too.]

Why can't it be one of us? [Real questions.]

Well, first of all, how would one of us gain access to the pods? [ He's pretty sure if they could open it, someone would have tried to save them. Maybe. ]

Second... why no trial? The rules only say a trial won't be held after a public killing, which is more than three witnesses. So not only would someone have to have a role that would allow them access to the pods and knowledge about the vents, there would have to be a group of people involved in it. [ Or the rules are useless. ]

Let me ask you something. Why are you so fixated on the rules and assume those rules can't have loopholes? Just curious.

... Because that's the only thing we have to go on. I could assume everything is in complete chaos, but how is that going to help me figure anything out?
