sunday TRIAL DAY TWO (24) survivors At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote.

* Marinette was in her itsy bitsy teeny weeny polka dot unitard for both routes. Assume some kind of super hero bullshit happened.

... There are also some dicks drawn on the side, including one (1) prostrate on the ground and labelled as "Adrien", along with another dick with weirdly buff legs stepping on it. This one is labeled "Marinette". Additionally there is a very sweaty, very limp dick in the corner is labeled as "Judar".

So. The theory where the killer skedaddled to the incinerator from the kitchen sometime between 7:05 am and 7:15 am? Totally busted. Looks like we might have to start thinking of another way the incinerator could have been activated around 7:15 am, with the killer presumably making a ruckus in the kitchen vents.

[Which brings him to...]

If there's a way to program the incinerator to go off at a certain hour, it's possible everything might have been set up way before 7:00 am. We should start to considering looking at the order of events from another angle. Switch some things around. [Also:] We've been assuming Fumi Kanno was killed around 7:05 am, but what if her time of death was closer to 6:00 am? If that's the case, the killer would have had at least an hour to set prop her body up, head to the incinerator, and then go back to make some noise in the vents. With our slowest suspect clocking in at 30 minutes? It's still plenty of time. And that's assuming they headed to the incinerator through the vents. They could have walked if it's faster, gone to the pod room and used the vent there to head to the kitchen.

Hmm. I think the timing theory is likely, though interesting considering the whereabouts of most of our suspects.

Is there a reason Adrien didn't wear his costume?

I'd have been faster, but it would've mucked up the results.

I wouldn't have been in costume past 4am, and that's the time I'm unaccounted for.

Okay, first of all, I had to shove this thing [waving his obnoxiously large staff] in front of me the whole time. I bet all the other suspects would be just as slow if they had to do that!

[Would they. Would they really. Probably doesn't help at all that he also just gave up and flopped down to try to take a nap halfway through. That said, he sounds more amused than offended since...those dick pics are hilarious.]

Second, the incinerator couldn't have been going off for that long, right? Otherwise all the paper would have burnt up.

And you had to take that thing with you into the vents... why?

No. Never mind. I don't want to know. But I do know the incinerator couldn't have been on for that long, which is why I'm wondering if it's possible to program it to activate at a specific time. The killer wouldn't even have to be on the bottom deck around 7:00 am if that's the case.

Because I can't fly without it, dumbass! Wasn't the whole point of shoving us into the vents to see who'd actually be able to use it to escape? It's all the way up on the ceiling, I can't reach it unless I fly.

That sounds super complicated. How would they even know it could be delayed or programmed?

Right, I think it makes more sense that they walked. If anyone had been near vents at the time, they would have heard someone crawling through to the incinerator and back.

Think we should test how long it takes to walk from the kitchen or pod room to the incinerator? Doubt it'll take a whole hour, but it might help us figure out the timeline better.

[A beat.]

And while we're at it, we would have heard someone moving around in the vents if they were used the whole time. Maybe we should ask Luke or Arumat if the noise from the test yesterday was similar to what they heard on Friday.

We could, although I think the comparative speeds of the suspects have been shown through the vents. Except maybe Judar... He would probably be flying.

Anyway, the path from the kitchen to the incinerator actually loops around the ship and definitely would have taken way more time than if they just walked there.

Speaking of races, none of the individuals crawling through the vents sounded close to the noise made in the vents when Luke and I were present nearby the crime scene.

... Although there's a possibility the culprit responsible could have simply been taking on their alien form which could sound different than them being in their regular form and crawling through the vents.

maybe its something simpler that they're overlooking. because can something not be difficult for once. }

Taking on their alien form, or emulating what an alien scurrying through the vents would sound like.

We had Rhys moving around the ship all week long. The sounds were kind of faint — but most people on the ship were able to hear them. Do you think there were any similarities between the two?

In that case, we need to consider the following:

Why, would the killer want to emulate it being an alien monster being the culprit, who on the suspect list would benefit the most from it, and what exactly was used to create the sound. An item? Or them attempting to bang around thinking that would suffice?
