saturday TRIAL DAY ONE (24) survivors At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote.

What do you think? I don't know if I can imagine any of them killing for this motive.

[This is what you get for doxxing. You get put on trial for murder. Those two things are definitely related. Also there are a bunch of teens on that list, WHO KNOWS what lengths a teen will go to if they get their cell phone back.]

there's nothing interesting on the way in, and roxy's room looks. well. the way you would expect roxy's room to look: a bit of a haphazard mess. who taught this girl to clean? no one, that's who. she's the kind of asshole who lets clothes hang out on the floor, along with some discarded apple juice of dave's. roxy is more of a grape juice girl.

the other most obvious thing is some of dave's art pinned on the walls. it's so shitty, but in true mom fashion roxy thinks it's literally the Best.

Well, it's a visual communication device, so I suppose there's more than one use it could be put towards. Didn't Emily say she had a boyfriend?

[Is this at all appropriate. Fortunately, no one can hear them. He's going to check the clothes first, picking up all the pieces he can find and sorting through them, checking for any blood or dirt stains and in the pockets.]

Checking out the art, because Bull is an art appreciator (except for he doesn't care unless it has a dragon in it) before moving on to check the bed - not hesitating about pulling up the mattress to look under it and mess up any perfect nice job of tucking in sheets sorry.]

the clothes are clothes. they are teen girl clothes. the ones that seem to be in a dirty pile aren't particularly dirty, apparently roxy does not roll around in the garden. tragic. might be a food cube or two in a pocket, tho. the clean clothes are mostly wherever those actually go (do we have closets guess who can't remember) and are clean as well. there are a few of dave's clothes separate and they are boy's clothes but also not particularly interesting.

there is no blood on the floor, dw bull. the art is all magnificent. for the sake of it, there is a poorly drawn dragon. this one looks to have roxy's addition of a not-as-shitty-but-still-shitty looking wizard riding it. the wizard has a magnificent beard.

the beds are beds. they are both hella unmade, so don't worry bull she won't care about them being even less made. there's some of dave's art shit on the bottom bunk, so it's clear that's where he sleeps whereas the top bed has roxy's pajamas. underneath roxy's pillow is a folded note. >inspect? ]

If it's not that, I'm beginning to fear we're in for another fight. I hope you'll keep your axe this time. It doesn't actually comfort me to see young girls swinging it about.

[Actually folding the clean clothes and putting them away, and putting the ones from the floor in a single pile. Look, he may be looking for dirt, but he's not rude. Turning to her desk, going to look through the contents of whatever she keeps there.]

the desk is full of secrets. ok, no, but there is a notebook labelled WIZARDFIC and a pen. there's a half-finished bowl of mac n cheese, too. and some apple juice. because of course.

it's a confession that she did All the murders. jk it's a list of everyone on the ship. everyone who's dead is crossed out, but looks like it hasn't been updated in a couple of weeks. lots of names have notes by them, such as "nope" and "2old" along with checkmarks and xes. it's titled matchmaker mama. yep that's what this is-- a list of who could date dave. that poor child. ]

[ there's not much, tragically, but there is what looks to be a few scattered passages about... everyone on the ship as wizards. in space. with some art, some of which looks to be dave's but mostly roxy's. there's a drawing of iron bull swooning in dorian's arms somewhere in there because there is.

everyone is on the list. but most people have at least been disqualified from dating dave for being "2old". bc writing up this list would be 2hard, the highlights include:

- a line connecting adrien and marinette with a heart
- a line connecting adrien and dave with a heart and a question mark
- next to jason's name is gay?? in parentheses
- a line connecting adam and luke with a idk itd be cute
- a line connecting adam and adelina of all people with a they have that stuffy fantasy book thing bout them
- a line connecting dorian and iron bull with a heart and a winky face
- a line connecting rhys and jack that she really needs to cross out jesus christ
- question marks next to marinette, adrien, emily, clover, adam, luke, jason, adelina, elizabeth, yuno, judar, machias, and whoever else is under 20 good god with lines leading back to dave
- a line connecting jack and fiona which is even worse
- the only one labelled "2young" is kazuma who is also crossed out
- probably some other dumb notes about each person and their love life/personality
- roxy's name is missing from the list bc shipping yourself with people is apparently across some kind of line

the trashcan has regular trash, food trash, a broken eyeshadow, idk normal stuff. ]

I know, but you had the right idea of it after all. Trust me, no one should be talking to them if they want to sleep for the next decade.

[Sounds sort of like he's speaking about something specific, but he drops it and is instead reading the few scattered wizard passages with fascination. Anything smutty or is it all vanilla. Either way, he's snorting at the drawing of him and Bull, before approaching him and holding it out for him to see.]

Hey, think she's captured my likeness pretty well. Lots of people miss the angle of the horns when I sit for portraits.

I don't think she's really got my cheekbones right, but it's a tall order. I'm certainly glad to know some people around here are hooking up. It's been seven weeks, it's frankly absurd. I'm experiencing cultural shock.

[He's rummaging through the bathroom, checking out the makeup, and looking around in the shower in case anything stands out. But it seems it really doesn't.]

Almost impressive how little there is going down. You'd think there'd be more of it.

Disappointing is what it is. What's wrong with teenagers nowadays? I'm beginning to think I must have been especially precocious.

[As a last minute impulse, he'll climb up onto the top bunk and try to reach out to the ceiling vent. Can he reach it from the top bunk, and if so, does it look in any way tampered with?]
