WEEK 7 - Trial
| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (7) |
saturday TRIAL DAY ONE (24) survivors ![]() At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote. |

Marinette's Room (Where Adrien was staying, OoOoOooh)

It’s time to prepare for a search on the double,
And twerpy Jeanette better not give us trouble.
To protect the world with a thorough investigation!
To unite all the clues that might be disguised as decoration.
To denounce the evils that most of the suspects will be cleared of,
I’ll search this room with an iron glove!
Jessie!
[She pulls out her datapad and plays the voices from the second trial.]
And Jason Todd.
Chawbawk!
Team Rocket, searching this room at the speed of light!
Claudette’s surrendered this room to us without even a fight, that’s right!

Could you stop playing that recording already?! Delete it!
[He's blind on one side of his head??? He doesn't deserve this???
But, fine. Okay. If nothing is off in the area before the ladder, he's climbing up and taking a cursory look at Marinette's room. Anything off in this area? Any age inappropriate cucumber shaped dildos around?]

[it's too bad she can't be in two places at once because she absolutely refuses to let anyone else in Adrien's room]
As soon as I'm finished with Adrien's room I'm going up there, and you better not have touched anything! Either of you!

[She has some sketches for fashion on top of the desk and there are a couple of wrappers for camembert around the room, notably under Adrien's pillow. There's also a couple of cookies carefully wrapped up on top of the desk]
[Dare you look closer?]
no subject
[He agrees and happily goes to do so! Isn't it funny how Jessie remembers Marinette's name as soon as she's out of earshot? Geez.]
Why would I delete it? But while I have your attention, any thoughts on the trial so far?
[Let's see...let's investigate the desk.]

[Because, seriously. Most of them are teens. Kids. He's really not digging this.]
I'm not too convinced this is the handiwork of one of our new alien buddies. For starters, why bash Fumi's skull in if they were going to make it obvious the vents were used for this? We already know they're out there. We already know any one of us could've been hijacked by one of those freaks. It would have been easier to slice and dice our dead guy than to use blunt force trauma.
[That said... He's scowling at Arbok heading for Adrien's bed. Anything on the shelves or under the covers, pillows and sheets? Beside stinky cheese, anyway.]
Could you call him off? There might be something important on her bed. Or something embarrassing. We'll never know. Not if it gets crushed.

[it's literally full of embarassment. There are a bunch of pictures of Adrien, some printouts (HOW DID SHE EVEN??), many are sketches of him, some with clothing she made up as if she's considering making them for him, and some that are just doodles or him or as them together as Chat Noir and Ladybug. There's a pretty detailed sketch of them locking Alice in the holding cells, and then having a wedding with everyone (minus the victims Marinette hardly knew like Calypso Ew and Todd Soup) attending. Even Arbok is there with a fancy suit. On the back of one or two of the sketches, if Jessie turns them over, she can see the same couple of lines written with hearts:]
"♥♥♥ Mrs. Marinette Agreste ♥♥♥"
"♥♥♥ Mr. Adrien Dupain-Cheng ♥♥♥"]
[you know, that that thing teenage girls do when they fill up an entire page with this nonsense]
[Aside from a few more empty Camembert wrappers on Adrien's bed (someone has a problem), there doesn't seem to be anything else of note there. It doesn't look like Adrien spent that much time in this room]

[Arbok, who will glare daggers at Jason (and even hiss at him), immediately comes over to support Jessie in her time of need! No more naughty not!snakes jumping on the bed, so he can look over that bunk, too. If he wants.
She wonders if she can steal this drawing. Well, she folds it subtly in front of her so she can grab it the next time Jason isn't looking. It's not like he'll know it wasn't folded to begin with if he spots it.]
I've met Goldeen who are less thirsty than this girl is.

[GOOD SNAKE. SHOO AWAY FOREVER.
He'll be looking at Marinette's bunk, then. He doesn't really expect to find anything incriminating, but. You know. Gotta be thorough. Maybe even pocket anything embarrassing he finds to fulfill his duty as a terrible murderbro.
... And like Jason would care if Jessie steals anything from #thirstgate. He might even want that drawing framed.]

[Also: Marinette's bed is fairly messy and there's some of her clothing on it, but nothing really suspicious. Under her pillow, however, there is another picture of Adrien, that looks a little crinkled and damp around the lips, as if someone was practicing kissing!!! On it!!! Huh!!]
[On the back of the picture there's a draft of Adrien's schedule, (which is just a little too specific, yikes) but it's a few weeks old since it features only old areas]
no subject
If there's nothing in the desk, it's time to move onto the bathroom, but boy will she ever give that desk a thorough inspection.]
But I don't think we can agree on that. Remember, these aliens don't want to be found. Alice did something to eliminate the one inside of that friend of yours [notice how she doesn't refer to Elizabeth by name]. If another one gets caught, the same thing might happen, so they'd kill someone without 'slicing and dicing', wouldn't they?
no subject
[Saying this while inspecting that schedule. Y i k e s.]
Remember what happened to Maria Hill, Niles and Todd Smith? The aliens made a mess with them and we still don't know if the ones that were inside Rhys and Elizabeth did it. We don't even know how many of them are on-board.
[A pause, while he moves on to inspect whatever clothes are in the room. Thoroughly. Time to rummage through their pockets and invade their privacy even further.]
... You can say her name, by the way. Elizabeth. It's not like it'll bite.
[anYWAY.]

[The clothes are like half-made pants and shirts. Her clothing-making station isn't her room, so it appears to mostly be ongoing projects. Jason might notice one of her projects seems to be an eyepatch. Aside from that, the pockets on Marinette's clothing are mostly empty, but he finds an occasional cookie or fashion sketch. What's with the cookies??]
