saturday TRIAL DAY ONE (24) survivors At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote.

Er, I mean my god tier shit is related to being the Rogue of Void and rogues are sneaky and void is hidey so it sort of just worked out that way. It only works for like a minute a day here, tho. And some things can see through it? Back home anyway. There actually was a ring that let me do the same shit but I don't have it or I guess need it.

Void powers. [What the fuck okay. That's just...more questions ask Dave later.] What exactly is god tier? You don't have to explain the Rogue of Void thing, trust me, I get it. All of our powers kinda got powered down. Isn't it a little weird that you suddenly don't need your ring to perform the same tasks? Have you asked about that at all?

God tier is like... the high levels of Sburb, which is a shitty game. To get there you gotta die on your quest bed, which is a slab of rock. Which I died on.

No, I mean I used a ring back home for a bit but I didn't need it after I went god tier. I only used it before that. It probs tied into my powers that were like, just a kinda thing before the god tier made them a hella thing?

[ and she used it during trickster mode but no one needs to hear about that. ]

[The look he's giving her is enough to basically say "what kind of weird planet are you guys from" but he's nodding along anyway.] So guess that explains how Dave became the Knight of Time and why there's a lot of dead Daves. If there's also a bunch of dead Roxys...[He's not going to proceed with that thought.]

I get it. The ring amplified your powers before you went god tier and once you hit god tier you were fine. What're the full limitations of your invisibility? I know it's limited to one minute a day here but does that one minute have to be used all in one minute or could you break it up into small pieces?

[ wow she's from earth. post-apocalyptic earth. also she has her own planet of pyramids and neon, sidenote. ] Nope, no dead Roxys. Well. I mean a couple but not from, like, magic power death. Just regular death.

The latter, I think? Ngl, I don't even use it much here 'cause the only thing to hide from is busy hidin' itself in like. Vents and people, apparently, so. Also to spook people 'cause it's funny. But not when they're holding coffee.

Still a bummer if you think about it for too long. [Which is why he won't. There's one more thing he's curious about though.]

Anyway, what's the point of having invisibility powers if you can't use it to scary people every now and then? [Honestly he'd do the same thing.] I'm going to ask you a sort of weird question though. How fast can you run?

If you're asking if I can ninja around like Davey, nah man, he gets that from Dirk. [ at saying the name dirk she glances at dave as if making sure he. didn't hear that?? weirdos ] Just like, normal running fast. Average fast?

[ she's slower than a ninja flashstepping but could outrun a grandma probably ]

[ like, dave shifts off to the side but he doesn't say anything about what roxy said. why the hell are these two being shifty about "dirk", we just don't know. ]

[Then that makes that theory much harder. He catches that glance but he figures it's not important to him.]

So probably not fast enough for what I was thinking. [Thanks, Luke.] That's what I needed to know. Thanks, Roxy.

Nothing that's plausible unless you could move really, really fast. [i.e. if she could have picked up a broken monitor, gone invisible, taken said-monitor to the kitchen to bash Fumi's head in and then stage it and walk away all in the span of a minute.] Don't worry about it.
