WEEK SIX - TRIAL DAY TWO
| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (6) |
saturday TRIAL DAY TWO (29) survivors ![]() At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote. |

[ She pinches at her nose, trying to think. ]
If it means he was poisoned then - ... I almost drank it too. [ There's a quick falter. Did Hancock almost poison her and back out...? ]
no subject
The wine itself was a brand new bottle wasn't it? Did he open it before or after you declined it? [This is Very Important suddenly.]

[So there goes the theory of trying to maybe reverse-poison Elizabeth at least.]
no subject
They think I did it, don't they?
[ They're not closer to finding the killer than they were a day ago. It pains her and it absolutely makes her tremble in anger and fear. ]
I was the last one he was with. I declined the wine. God...if only I had drank it instead...
no subject
If you'd drank it instead, it would make Hancock look suspicious. I don't think you want that either. [Just...gonna say it.] The more information we're getting by testing everything it's still not making sense. But...we always find the real culprit right at the end. Remember?
[Ugh. Somebody else please come give the pep talk, he's bad at this.] Can I ask you something of a personal question though? How long did you know Hancock was part of the third party?
no subject
His question does make her look down. ]
A few weeks. The third one, I believe.

[ Elizabeth feels a bit faint, but holds it together. ]
I have no clue. He gave me a napkin with the items on it last week... when he thought he was going to be voted as the culprit... It's in my room, but no one's been inside.
[ She doesn't know much else. ]
He could have told others - who else is he close with?
no subject
That's not a question I can answer. Barely know the guy myself. You seem close to him though. Wouldn't you have any guesses?
no subject
[ He has his drunkie friends, but she's not quite sure. ]

[ WHAT THE FUCK? ]
What acting are you talking about?

[ First Hancock, now Jack, now Jessie...? ]
Do you really think I would do something so heinous?!

See, you don't deserve this. This is why people need to vote Jack, doesn't matter if it looks like you kind of have involvement in it, you sure you weren't tricked or something? You're a good person.
no subject
Okay, but seriously. ]
How could I have been tricked? Hancock opened the bottle that was in his room. No one would have known that he would offer me a drink!
[ Sorry, she has to defend herself a little. ]
No. Hancock was a good person. Light was a good person. I'm scraping by to defend myself.
[ Horrible day for it, really. ]
no subject
Kind of the polite thing to do though, right? Offer someone a drink? You don't just drink wine in front of someone without offering it. Maybe the killer didn't care if you had some too.
[ wait, he's not sure if that helps or hurts his anti-jack campaign. shit. ]
You still don't deserve to die. Shouldn't have to fight for it.
no subject
[ UGH! ]
no subject
[ for what it's worth, she's being sincere. ]
He deserves it. He gave me my first drink, and it wasn't very easy to swallow, but he was still important to me.
no subject
Don't care, Yuno. I'm not really the sympathetic type.
no subject
thank you and goodnight ]

I don't want to see your body. I won't, Elizabeth. Don't even think it! I won't allow it, you lived, and I'm--
[ ... ]
Nothing you've done means you should have died instead.
no subject
I hope others agree with you.
[ She can't stomach this. It's insult to injury to believe she would kill Hancock. To think that she could look at Clover after she did this. ]
I'll be alright... whatever happens, please avenge Hancock and Light.
