WEEK 6
| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (6) |
monday - thursday (31) survivors ![]() Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods. Holding Cells
...you really look like you have seen better days.

I will be fine, I assure you. I just thought... Everyone certainly has a great deal on their minds with this particular motive. I doubt I would be pleasant company at the moment, and I didn't want to burden anyone when there's too much of that occurring already.

[Shelley hesitates before adding]
At least I did when I was freaking out a couple weeks ago.
no subject
[a small intake of breath]
Are you faring well? This is a much crueler motive than that of last week, I think.
no subject
[So all in all, she isn't scared]
It'd be great if those nightmares didn't happen, though. There's enough burden on all of us, we don't need stuff like that too.
no subject
[that's certainly one way of saying it. despite the circumstances, she looks amused for a moment.]
It's certainly unpleasant. I won't say that I hope it will end tomorrow, but...
[it most likely will, in her opinion.]
no subject
[She helpfully illustrates her strength. Bam! Punch to the air!]
...it's depressing to think, but there's no other choice: we have to be getting ready for a murder trial. I just hope...this time it doesn't hurt as much as it did last time.
...
Does that make me selfish?
no subject
You are fearsome indeed. May I ask who she was?
[and then the smile fades]
I would argue that there certainly is another choice, but... I do agree with you that another killing will most likely occur. [she shakes her head] I would never say it's selfish to hope that the people you care for survive.

It was myself. I defeated myself in a fair fight. Isn't that weirdly philosophical? Myself as my worst fear?
[And that's why she isn't affected very much by this week's motive! Okay, she actually defeated her past savage self at the last minute because of some quick thinking, but it isn't like Adelina will be told all the details]
Stay safe, Adelina. I want to see you walk out of this spaceship. Promise you will, alright?
no subject
[her eyes narrow a bit, but in confusion rather than anything else. she does give pause when shelley asks for that promise. especially this week, she doesn't want to guarantee anything she doesn't have complete control over, but she doesn't want to worry shelley, either.]
I promise you that I will do everything in my power to make that happen. You as well, yes?
no subject
[Half-truths abound! Shelley figured Adelina wouldn't really take it very well to hear that it was actually Shelley getting out of the afterlife after she was murdered...for the second time in a few years...and that it was either defeating that worst fear or having her soul erased, kinda.
Her life is pretty weird, yes]
Yes, I promise it. I'm not going to let myself get killed just like that.
no subject
[even without the full explanation, it seems strange to her. she sounds concerned as well, though she does give a small smile.]
I'm glad to hear that. Let's both remain this determined.
no subject
...to be honest...I don't know. It just happened, and I don't really understand yet why that was my fear. I suppose there are dark sides of me I don't know about yet...or something like that. It's weird.
[It's hard to talk about it]

It's for things like this that people like to talk to you, Adelina, you have that honest quality people appreciate. Come on, leave that cell.

I... I apologize, but the nature of the visions I've been having makes the idea of being around many people rather unappealing.
