monday - thursday (31) survivors Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. [Shelley hasn't been very cheerful. While she's perfectly capable of being cheerful during conversations - as shown to Jessie shortly after the motive - her general demeanor this week is quite...gloomy.

Tuesday Afternoon

Shelley is in the lounge, and looks like she's taking the booze as her possession now. Of course, given her mood, this is truly drinking to drown her sorrows. Welp. She's not completely drunk, though, and if you approach it's likely you'll be able to have a conversation with her! Just...be aware she's not exactly the same cheerful Shelley she usually is.

Thursday Afternoon

There we go again in the Lounge, and Shelley is feeling better! And she has her sketchbook out. If you pass by, Shelley will start sketching and staring at you carefully. Yeah, she's good at drawing! Overall it seems she's finally leaving behind the feelings of betrayal regarding Kazuma, althooooough...yeah, as you may suppose, the feelings don't fully go away. But at least she seems to be better now!

Well she has eyebags due to the nightmarish visions that assault her from time to time, but it seems she isn't really affected by them. Look, she literally punched and gave a severe beatdown to her so-called worst fear, she has nothing to fear now!]

[Adrien has never learned not to invade someone's personal space when they're drawing, and he's been gravitating towards people all week since Oh My God Don't Leave Him Alone, so when he notices Shelley he's immediately going towards her]

Shelley, hey. I didn't know you could draw!

[up close he looks a bit tired, but it's nothing too awful. he mostly looks genuinely curious about her sketchbook]

[She's in excellent mood. When Adrien approaches she considers commenting that he looks a bit tired, but decides to hold the comment back for the moment. Instead she turns the sketchbook around, showing the page.

That's indeed Adrien! Looks like she had barely started a sketch of him passing by]

I have been drawing the people around for weeks already. It's a way to remember everything that has happened, writing diaries is not my thing.

[She's willing to pass the sketchbook, if he wants!]

That's great! I can't draw at all, so... May I?

[it might seem like a surprisingly polite way to ask for her sketchbook, but he's been raised by a designer, he knows not everyone would be willing to share]

[She even gives Adrien her pencil. Don't be shy, give it a try! Draw!

The first half of the sketchbook really is filled of drawings of other people, at least half of the ship population is here! Marinette does feature a couple times, and both times she's freaking out hilariously. Welp.

There's one other drawing of Adrien too, seems to be from when he was climbing the statue. Shelley seems to have taken a few liberties with the cat suit, hah. He looks way more mysterious and hero-of-the-night than he does actually look]

[he flips through the sketchbook, laughing when he gets to the pictures of Marinette and kind of smirking at his own Dramatic Drawing]

Wow, Shelley, these are great! You're really talented.

[next to his sketch, he draws a small paw (ฅ) followed by a very simple cat face before handing it back to Shelley with a cheeky grin]

That one is definitely Chat Noir approved.

[totty is happy to find not only someone who isn't flipping out now that we're deep into nightmare week, but that seems in relatively good spirits, to boot. towards that end, when he pops his head into the lounge and sees shelley there, he makes a beeline over]

What's that? Storyboards for the miniseries about this experience once you get home?

Besides I was tired of moping around. Drawing people would at least force me to stop being depressed.

Oh, my best friend was an artist student, so she taught my a few tricks. I think I'm not bad at all! But the question here iiiiis...

[She suddenly passes the sketcbook to him]

...how good are you at drawing? Come on, give it a try!

Oh! Um, geez, I'm only so-so... I didn't end up with the artistic talent in the family.

[that said, he does start doodling a little round...animal? thing? It has longish ears and large eyes and is definitely on the cutesy side of things, even if it isn't quite clear what animal(?) it is supposed to be. (A cat? A bunny? A furby?) Then, a word balloon in careful English letters, "Hello Shelley!! Have a fun!" Eighth grade girl-level doodles are go]

[Shelley takes the sketchbook and tilts her head. Well that is an animal, yes! What could it be? Okay, she doesn't think it much, it must be a Japanese thing]

It isn't that bad, Totty! At least you can draw cute things, that's good.

[He's trying to read, but as he notices she's sketching him, also adjusting to make sure he's in a suitably attractive pose. It's subtle, just no weird faces or bad posture while he reads.]

[There she goes, drawing more. She's doing it quite fast now that Dorian knows she's drawing, and once she's done, she approaches and shows the page.

I am! Kinda. It's what happens when one lives with someone who studied art.

[Shelley puts the sketchbook aside. She has intended to ask it for quite some time already, but every week something weird happens and the time isn't right. Who knows what'll happen in the future, may as well do it now!]

Ssssooooooo...Dorian...I know this isn't the best place to ask it, buuuut... [Goodness, she's nervous] ...I was wondering if you'd like to go with me in a date once we're out of here, oooor...or while we're still here...

[ Adam is also not quite in the best mood, but he hasn't come into the lounge to drink. When he notices Shelley there, he remembers hearing what she told Kazuma back at the trial. She seemed pretty upset as well. Even if they were both just betrayed, isolation is the worst thing for it.

So he sits down next to her, giving her a partial smile. ] Hey. Can I talk to you for a sec?

[Shelley mumbles something inintelligible and cranky before sighing]

Sure, Adam. Go ahead.

[Not even looking at you, buddy]

[ He can take it. He's genuinely curious. ] All of that stuff you said to Kazuma... It was pretty detailed. How did you know that about him?

[It takes her a moment to answer, but the booze does help to loosen the tongue]

I was once kidnapped by a spaceship. Long story short, I was forced to provide DNA, and it was used to create an artificial person...one that looked just like me, just...all savage and bloodthirsty. Literally. It used to eat brains.

[She gestures vaguely at the air]

Kazuma reminded me of her. I didn't see her not even once, but from what I heard...she was someone without a past, all she had was her actual goal of killing people and causing trouble, just that unlike him she didn't seem to really have feelings or anything. And at the end...she was killed. Horribly.

[Shelley winces]

Exorcised and maybe on fire, just like it happened to Kazuma. All artificial people like Kazuma and her are good for is for killing and...and for getting killed at the end.

A few weeks ago when he told me he couldn't remember anything about his past and about how he was being attacked and all that I immediately thought of her, but I didn't tell him at the time my theory about him because I knew it'd hurt him.

[ That really isn't something he expected and he almost feels bad for making her talk about it. But while it's horrifying, it also seems more impersonal than anything. ]

Jesus, I—didn't know things like that existed. [ So he chalked Kazuma up to just amnesia. ] But I just don't get it. He didn't seem to have feelings either. How can even an artificial person exist without that? They can't be reasoned with?

No, he does have feelings...I saw him crying after I was done shouting. I think...I think I somehow really did hurt him.

[Still feeling kind of bad about it]

But I also think he was too far into his own madness. Reasoning with him would have been impossible, I guess.
