[probably not a valid interpretation, but it's funny enough that he is willing to ask]

[Adrien does he really have to explain himself....]

[what he trusts luke so shouldn't everyone!!!]

You'd think so, wouldn't you. [And a sigh.] Remember what I told you about painting? Writing takes too long, so I avoid it when I want to get something out fast. And you can't exactly draw a buddy system, can you? [It would really just be easier to say "Demigods are saddled with ADHD and dyslexia on top of constantly being chased by monsters" but lbr, Luke's not good at making things easy on anybody.]
no subject
Technically you could, but that'd leave it to be up to interpretation. And people's interpretations here can be... kinda off. [what a nice way to put "dicks. dicks everywhere". adrien shrugs] Alright, I'll make the announcement on the board. I'll just leave a note to ask you about it if they're confused.

[...and because he can't help it.] Alice is right. You are a good cat.
no subject
Ha, ha. Why is everyone treating me like the ship's house pet?
no subject
Probably because you're young and impressionable. Or the fact you have an actual cat suit. Take your pick, I've got my own reasons.

You remind me of somebody I knew back home. That same kind of belief that people will be good at the end of the day? It's exactly the same. [Annabeth and Adrien both have a tendency to want to trust people and believe in people. Even with everything Luke did at the end, it was Annabeth who still believed and who could still reach him. With her dagger here, he's thinking about a lot of things.] Pretty sure that kind of thing could be a game-changer.
no subject
A "game-changer"... I hope so. [he doesn't sound so sure himself, because when he thinks of someone like that, he thinks of ... well, not himself.] Were you and that person close? You sound like you had a high opinion of them.
[what with considering that attitude a game changer etc]

I practically raised her. [There's a slightly bitter smile as he thinks back on it.] She ran away even younger than I did, and even younger than a friend did. When we found her she was only seven. She's a little older than you and Marinette now. ...neither of us had really great families, so I wanted to be better for her because it's what she deserved. Maybe I'm biased, but I think she turned out to be pretty okay.

[...the superhero's one to talk when it comes to teen responsibilities but he just wants to hear more Deets on your definitely not a cult camp]
no subject
[More like it was Luke putting unnecessary pressure on himself, but that's what you do as a makeshift dad.] Then again, Annabeth's always been a little smarter than me. That probably helped. She's always been independent, too, but she was still one of the youngest at Camp. It was still my job to look after her.
no subject
Still, smart or not, that's impressive, taking care of them like that... I've never even babysat a kid, never mind making sure they survive without anything.
no subject
...I made a promise to both of them that we'd be a family. I was the oldest, so I had to take care of them. [There's a hint of a grin.] I don't know if I'd recommend doing it that way though.
no subject
You don't have to warn me against running away without a plan. Even if I wanted to, I'd get caught before I made it more than a few blocks from my house. [...that sounds like he speaks from experience and he is quick to change the subject back to Luke's wacky camp adventures, though a bit shyly:] Annabeth and Talia....Do you think once we get out of this, I could meet them?
[he's a small teen who wants to meet his friend's friends ok]
no subject
On the bright side, at least Thalia's alive now. She'd probably like Adrien, and Annabeth of course tends to eventually get along with everyone. But…there's one little problem he hasn't made clear to anyone, and he's definitely not explaining it now. So he grins.]
Sure, kid. You'd probably fit right in with them. Thalia can be a little harsh but she's pretty okay. [Don't sound so fond of her, you stupid douche.] Someday I'll figure out a way to introduce you.
no subject
Great! I'll look forward to it. [:D :D :D] Maybe you guys could meet Nino, too. He's my best friend back home.
no subject
Oh yeah? What's he like? [Anything to get off of the subject of meeting his friends back home :')]
no subject
Nino's great. He's the first real friend I made when I finally went to school this year. [here's adrien not... counting... his childhood friend because. @ chloe stop being yourself] He's fun and nice and... he even stood up to my father for me once. [and it ended horribly but let's not. mention that.] He's really cool. Oh, and he's a DJ!
[adrien you sound like you're five, stop]
no subject
Seems like you've got somebody pretty cool waiting for you back home. [A pause.] Does Marinette know him, too? You guys are from the same world aren't you? [Or they're just...weirdly close for reasons he doesn't quite get.]
no subject
[wwweeelp]
no subject
Oh yeah? Never would have guessed. [It's a pretty dry statement. Of course they're partners.] Which means...what, that you two look out for each other no matter what? [Tell him how you really feel, dude. It'll mostly just be funny.
