chiseler: (I am sick of listening)

[Dude, do you really want to compare lists of secrets? Even when Adrien says that he settles for his own version of an awkward grin, enough to make his scar scrunch up just a bit and try to appear non-threatening.]

And here I thought machines couldn't even have a sense of humor. What I wanna know is where she's storing the rest of her information. Think about it. If we'd known exactly how Lavi's hammer worked…maybe we would have solved that case a lot faster. Stuff like that. Why withhold stuff like that that could be also be used against us?
monsieurchatastrophe: (and so I'll read a book)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-07 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[he was talking about the profile list but listen secret wise he can't top secret demi-god let's all be real.]

She's said things that she called... "jokes", before. [bad ones, but.] Maybe it wasn't on his profile because it was about his hammer? Everyone's information seems to be about their own skills, nothing about what their items can do.
chiseler: (of this meltin heart of major compromise)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-07 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[It's official. Alice is kind of a dumbass, too.]

Maybe. That'd explain a lot, like why Backbiter's listed as just as sword and why we have no idea what a miraculous ring is. [Ahem.] But you don't think she and whoever else involved knows? [Yes, he's repeating himself, but that's because it's driving him insane.] I'm using this week that I'm "valued" or whatever to maybe get some answers.
monsieurchatastrophe: (no)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-07 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[he's surprisingly stiff at the mention of his ring, and blank faced when he answers:]

They know. I'm sure of it. [well. that's straightforward. he sighs] The things they know about everyone... it definitely includes anything we might be keeping from each other.
chiseler: (and you're feeling so left behind)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-07 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hm. Things to investigate later…but it's concerning, and it makes him wonder if the AI is sharing this information with other people. Does anyone else on this ship know the things he's not telling anyone…?]

…how much do you wanna bet that's going to be a motive in the future, too? Kill, or have your biggest secrets exploited to the whole ship.
monsieurchatastrophe: (take a climb)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-07 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
...There's a chance. But there's no secret that should be worth anyone's life.

[he'd said as much earlier, but this time he's rubbing at his ring when he says it.]
chiseler: (with a thousand lies and a good disguise)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-07 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"Should" is the word we're using…but "would" is probably the one we need to be considering. [It's not even so much his demigod status. It's…everything else associated with it that he's wary about people learning about. He's eyeing that dagger again while Adrien's fixated on his ring, but he shakes his head.] Do me a favor and keep an eye out for stuff like that. It'll help in the long-run.
monsieurchatastrophe: (start on the chores and sweep)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-07 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Keep an eye out for... what? People's secrets?
chiseler: (and if you can't get what you want)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-07 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that too, but I meant more things that could be used as potential motives. If we can predict these things we can be better prepared not to fall for them and it'll buy us more time. [Probably.]
monsieurchatastrophe: (and so I'll read a book)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-07 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Like how she talked about nightmares last week but we haven't had them yet?

[what if alice recycles. what if]
chiseler: (is your silhouette fading out?)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-07 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah I still don't know how she was planning on doing that, unless it's like what Harold said with the frequency or whatever being manipulated in us. But exactly like that. We start thinking the way the AI thinks? We'll have a better chance of not falling to the motives.
monsieurchatastrophe: (should I?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-07 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
She could not be the one doing it. It might be whoever programmed her who has that kind of power. [adrien subscribes to a wizard did it, hard.] But I'll try to think of motives she could pull. She's basing herself off of literature a lot, so, maybe if we look through there there might be something.
chiseler: (what's worth forgiving?)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-07 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Good point. If we can find something in common with all of the pieces of literature she's getting ideas from, like a time period or something, maybe we can figure out what themes she's going after. [A pause.] Either that or we destroy all of the literature on the ship.
monsieurchatastrophe: (look at it all so big)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-07 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I think she has access to more stuff than we can find, so a literal book burning might be out. [shrugs] Right now, from what I can tell, they all seem to be books that'd fit in well with... a literature class that's delving into different philosophies, or something.
chiseler: (man he never had a chance)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-07 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
So then we start thinking of major themes of philosophy and applying those. [...] ...look, man, I dropped out of school when I was 9. This is a little over my head. Any idea who might have a better grasp on that kind of stuff?
monsieurchatastrophe: (and so I'll read a book)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-07 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Well... Monsieur Frankenstein has been around a long time and he runs a high school, so I'm sure he knows enough. Light also seemed knowledgeable about that kind of thing when we talked about Sun Tzu. I can't say for anyone else, though.
chiseler: (and you're feeling so left behind)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-07 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a better start than what we had. They both seem kind of smart. [Still mad they searched his room tho.] I'll see what they have to say and we'll go from there. Better than staring at these cases all day with nothing else to think about.
monsieurchatastrophe: (when will my life begin?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-07 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, you definitely need a better hobby. [is that adrien trying to lighten the mood. maybe. maybe!!]
chiseler: (I like how you work my name)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-08 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
[He rolls his eyes.] Yeah, yeah. Maybe I'll take up working on my puns or something. [He can't help but grin though.] Don't linger around here too long or people will probably think you're suspicious, too.
monsieurchatastrophe: "um zia you used the reprise and skipped lyrics" fight me (that's when my life begins)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-08 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
You should, they're prretty fun. [oh my god. at least he can read the cue that luke probably wants to angst alone with the glass cases some more or whatever, so he just shrugs and salutes] I'd rather not end up on the suspect list ...ever, so, good point. I'll leave you to be suspicious on your own.
chiseler: (nothing more to say)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-08 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
[You're damn right that's what he wants to do because oh my god why are you such a shithead, Luke Castellan. He'll wave him off.] I'm good at that. I'll see you later.

[But there's still a slight grin. Adrien is definitely safe from Luke's hit list for now, at least.]
