WEEK 12

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (12)

monday - thursday

(13) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find that the ship is still in disarray; there is no robot prepared breakfast, nor has any of the damage been repaired. The ship is mostly cast in darkness, with the exception of a few rooms, though light may flicker in and out in some rooms. Without Alice, you are all on your own. The ominous pressure of the Queen Mother still looms, though you no longer feel Her presence.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that part is because of our friendly neighborhood meat skewers. That, or maybe Perkins was feeling sadistic in her death throes.

[That said, he's staring at the key somewhat dubiously. He's curious about what it does, but at the same time...]

We could mess with the key. Or we could leave it alone. Machine's on. Just doesn't seem to be responsive. And my current theory is that this hunk of junk... [gesturing at the terminal.] Is the one hosting the Furry Crossing server where the dearly departed are currently trapped. If we test it and it turns out to be an off switch, we could be screwing everyone over.

[he takes his hand away from the vicinity of it like it was burned and grins sheepishly]

Oookay, fair point. Can't blame the cat for being curious, right? [adrien, stfu] I guess that's it, then? I don't think there's anything else we can do in here except try to lock it up.

belatedly realizing i typed "furry crossing" smh

Hey. If curiosity killed the cat, some would say satisfaction brought it back. But I don't think that would apply if my hunch turns out to be right.

[Shrugs. Honestly, he could be wrong. But he'd rather not be responsible for giving their friends a second death if he turns out to be right.]

You still have to break the vent, right? Though, I'm curious if we can rip one of those plaques off before we lock the place up. Want to try it on Jack's future egg shaped grave?
monsieurchatastrophe: (🐈 plus de coeur et d'abandon)

i didn't even notice tbh

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-08-25 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Sure. We can do the vent after your curiosity's satisfied. [he doesn't comment on the jack specific joke because it's 2 late to get jason todd to stop joking about people dying three months into this, but Still. stop] How are we going to manage that, though? I'd try just ripping it off myself, but. [raises the stump] I don't know that I'd get far one-handed, superhuman strength or not.

[Jason has died??? That automatically gives him the right to make as many death jokes as he wants???? Except, no. No it does not. He's just a hopeless case.]

Luckily for both of us, I have two hands and a sharp knife. Could try prying it off that way. And if that doesn't work, you can just... I don't know. Punch it? You don't need two hands to punch an egg.

[Just... Just let him rip off a plaque. He will try to cut the plaque off or slide the knife under it to pry it off if he's not stopped.]
