monday - thursday (13) survivors Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find that the ship is still in disarray; there is no robot prepared breakfast, nor has any of the damage been repaired. The ship is mostly cast in darkness, with the exception of a few rooms, though light may flicker in and out in some rooms. Without Alice, you are all on your own. The ominous pressure of the Queen Mother still looms, though you no longer feel Her presence. [ Luke might be surprised to find that he probably shouldn't have wasted his unlocking abilities on the electric sheep room door, because pressing his hand on it gets the door to budge a tiny bit.

The door is also no longer so cold it risks removing a layer of skin. ]

[He wasn't at all interested in coming along on this little adventure, but when he sees that everyone went upstairs, he follows.

Seeing Luke at the door stops him cold, though.]

What are you doing? Don't open the door!

[The door's not open yet, but he's also just sort of staring back at Dorian for a moment.]

If you unlock it, you'll give the souvlaki access to it. [He snaps it, but he's more frantic than angry.] That's clearly where they're keeping the bodies, isn't it? The bodies they used to come speak to us last week in? Do we want to give a creature that can possess bodies the chance?

[...in theory, that should have been something Luke recognized himself. That's exactly how they got into Gaea, that's exactly what the queen told him.

He pauses...and steps back from the door, eyeing it warily before shaking his head.]

Hate to break it to you, but I think with the power down the door's already kinda open. I didn't even really have to break the lock on it. So...what does that mean?

Kaffas. [Going to the door and putting a hand on it, trying to peer into the window.]

If they're already in, maybe we ought to assess the damage? We could blood test them to be safe, and then reseal it.

If that's the case then only a few of us should go in and check for damage. Either a few of us or none of us at all and we concentrate on sealing the door. [All of the fire in him that started this expedition with Jason's fizzled out and he's more serious now. He hadn't really thought they were holding the bodies here. That was just a joke, but now...it's much less of a joke. It's a reality and he doesn't want to be responsible for reanimating corpses. He's already partially responsible for destroying River.]

Okay. Anybody know how we should reseal the door? Blood tests are definitely happening, too. [See these things wouldn't happen if he put in some more thought.]

Judar has ice magic, hasn't he? That might be a help.

Otherwise. Perhaps we ought to move something heavy in front of it and then take shifts watching the door.

[oh what's up he heard his name...he has no idea why they're trying to seal this door because he's not paying attention, but he'll pipe in anyway]

If you get me enough water to work with, I can freeze a thick sheet of ice over it. It's still ice though - it can be melted or shattered with enough effort, and I'll need to redo the spell regularly.

[this sounds like so much work but then again WHAT ELSE IS HE DOING...]

Now that isn't a bad idea. It's not too heavy to bring back, is it?

A few of us might carry it? So long as it's heavy enough that it would take a lot of exertion for any one person to disturb it on their own.

There's not just the door, though-- what about the vents? Can't the aliens use them to get in?

[and yet she threw it yesterday. aren't you guys glad she never decided to kill you?]

But to be safe I would put one more thing in front of it, be it something else heavy or Judar's ice suggestion. Even if the alien can get through, they should be slowed down enough by the doubling up that we can stop them.

[and she's already off to go collect that door...it would be a breeze with her full strength, but the heroine must suffer for the story's sake.]
