WEEK 12

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (12)

monday - thursday

(13) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find that the ship is still in disarray; there is no robot prepared breakfast, nor has any of the damage been repaired. The ship is mostly cast in darkness, with the exception of a few rooms, though light may flicker in and out in some rooms. Without Alice, you are all on your own. The ominous pressure of the Queen Mother still looms, though you no longer feel Her presence.

Unless it makes it more complicated. [ He keeps glancing at Dorian's mustache... His idol has truly fallen. ]

I don't know if the groups last time worked so well, but it's a thought. I'm thinking blood tests on Thursday or Friday? So we know if anyone's been infected before the trial.

[Don't look at him, Adam. Don't remember him like this.]

That's acceptable. I'd propose random blood tests throughout the week as well. Not everyone, just - enough that it becomes risky to attempt to infect anyone in the first place.

This time, however, we restrain anyone getting tested before we test them.

Good idea. It's better to avoid it if possible.

[ There's a pause—he's now avoiding looking right at Dorian's face. ]

How many people are going to agree to being restrained, though? And how many people would it not matter for?

I couldn't tell you. I could only tell you that I'd agree to it, and that it's the smart thing to agree to it, but that you ought to be careful, if it's me.

I think the way to do it, best for all involved, is to make use of the holding cells. Test two at a time, take weapons, close the doors to the cell while we test. It's less invasive than being restrained, but it can't attack as suddenly as Fiona did. But again, if it is me or anyone else who can attack from a distance, extra precaution might be necessary.

[ He tries to not look too concerned at the thought of Dorian being infected. It's not pleasant, though. ]

We'll use the holding cells, then. For someone who can use magic, we can have another one who can barrier handle things. [ A pause. ]

Just try to stay around a couple other people throughout the week, alright? Find Luke and me if you end up on your own.

[He's not too concerned about it, Adam, so don't you be.]

Of course. I don't make a habit of letting myself be caught without an alibi these days.
