Yyyyyeah, kinda wish it had happened sooner, but, eh, our dead people have only been able to help recently, I guess? Who friggin' knows. Point being, we've got a lil' blood test that should ID any of our aliens left. Because, y'know, do know that they're a parasite, so I figured a blood test would be helpful, but never had, uh, anything to test. Though before you ask, not explaining the test itself until after. For obvious reasons.
[ He shrugs ]
So. That's where you come in. Don't need much blood, and hell, I don't even really need to take it just in case you're not, I dunno. Trusting for some reason? Which, rude, honestly. But anyways. I'm splitting you up into two groups, so—
[ Jack waves his hand idly, almost like he's coming up with this on the fly. ]
Hell, I dunno. Group one: Adam, Luke, Jessie, Clover, Fiona, and Judar, and group two: Jason, Grell, Dave, the resident furries, Dorian, and Yuno. Sound good? Or, whatever, I don't super care. Let's just get this done so we can figure out what to do with our lucky winner, possibly winners.
GROUP A

This probably won't be so bad, right?

Are you sure about this?

Uh...no. This sounds super suspicious. The fuck do you need my blood for, how the hell is that gonna prove who's an alien and who's not?
no subject
Jack's got a test set up in the back. How is this more suspicious than half of the other stuff we do around here?
no subject
'Cause most of the stuff we do doesn't require me handing over my blood to someone! [A pause.] Unless we really fuck up. But seriously, you have any idea the kind of magic you can work with someone's blood? No way!

Pointless... [She's muttering while stashing away lollipops but she isn't actually going to kick up a fuss when her turn comes.]

We're dying anyway. I dunno what this is supposed to help.

GROUP B

[Waving a syringe around like its a toy??? Who let Jason Todd be the official Group B blood drawer. Either way, he's going first and then gifting himself a lollipop.]
Is everyone ready to be shocked and awed by science? [A beat.] That, or incredibly pissed off if you're an alien.
no subject
Anyway, being from a time before modern medicine, he has no idea what the point is to this exercise. It seems suspicious and he really doesn't want to give Jack his blood. Instead, he's keeping an irritated eye out in the back for anything suspicious, but will probably need to be prodded into allowing his own blood to be drawn.]
no subject
[yes, this violates their rules, but if this flushes out a surviving alien...she's seen that look on your face, Dorian.]

[In other words, he's just sulking like a big baby.]

Don't tell me you're afraid of needles, big guy.
[Nah. He knows that's not the case. The look on Dorian's face indicates mistrust, really.]
no subject
[Mistrust, yes. And also a little sullenness. But mostly mistrust.]

I pray this works.
[and that they have measures to deal with false positives. don't mind her if she's observing Jason do the blood drawing - what, it was all things she was filing away in that mishmash of medical information in her head.]

[Either way, he's going through all the motions. Wearing sterile gloves, putting a band around her bicep, disinfecting the site, and then inserting the needle. It only takes a short few seconds, but the process is easy enough for her to memorize. Maybe.]

Don't worry about him. I'll be gentle.

Is it too soon to use the bum arm?
[adrien no one is unwrapping your bandages so you don't have to get pricked in the one arm you have suck it up]

[Don't worry, Adrien. Jason might be an asshole, but even he's looking a little apologetic about this.]
I'll be quick. You won't even feel it. Cross my heart and hope to die.
