You know what? Fine. If this is the kind of shitshow we're dealing with? Might as well go all out, right?
[ From Jack, that's probably not comforting, but he pulls out his datapad, oddly enough. He taps away at it for a bit, seeming to press random icons, but finally, a simple text file pops up, which he passes to whoever wants to take a look at it once he starts to explain. ]
If we want a chance of surviving, it's pretty damn clear that we take care of this alien problem. And to that end? Yeah, time for me to step out of the goddamn shadows or whatever. I've got a role, kiddos. I've known about the aliens since the first friggin' week, because I'm the highest ranking member here.
[ who decided that is the real question ]
So, yeah, like I've been saying the whole goddamn time, but none of you idiots even listen to me. I've been hunting these shitheads down. You really think I was getting Liz to poison herself because I was that pissed at her? I knew she was one. And I mean, also, full disclosure here, I lied. Shocker, I know. But it'll make some of you real happy, and should be making some bodysnatcher shitheads sweat. The odds I'm working with? Way better than one out of fourteen. If you know what I'm talking about, congrats, you get to carry on the alien hunting tradition here, and don't say a word about it. If you don't? Then you could be infected. Simple as that.
[ Jack motions widely at this point, but his expression is still pretty drawn and vicious. It's clear that revealing this isn't something he really wanted to do, but he's feeling backed into a corner. ]
So, you Sou-shitiots that are waiting inside someone? Your move. I've been waiting a looooong time to kill one of you, so it'd be my pleasure to draw the very last of you out. I've made it nice and simple for both of us.

[Jessie looks uncharacteristically shocked—she's not angry over this revelation despite anger being her go to emotion.]
Why do you have a role, too?! Alice has been working with me every week, she never told me anything about you!
no subject
Because she didn't know about it, not at the start. Alice is a huge bitch. I've also been trying to say that, but you idiots just listen to her every goddamn word like it's law until this week. Ever since the aliens were revealed, I'm gonna take a step in the dark here and say a purge was her plan. I was trying to kill them before they revealed themselves to avoid this, but, well, no luck there.

[Jessie agrees with Jack 100% for about five seconds, which is terrifying. Also, whoops, she broke the swear filter. Sorry, pure-hearted Team Rocket fans of all ages!]
I've been trying to get under her digital skin for weeks now because everything she tells me is completely ridiculous! I thought I was the only one left who who still had a role!
[Since they've lost an item-giver and a...Bull.]

What's your role, then? Please tell us it's something that can be proven.

[She'll pull out her datapad so she can access the program. It'll take her a second to get there.
But as she loads it up...she shoots Dorian an impossibly smug look.]
Dorian, just what do you think 'undisclosed reasons' have meant all this time?
[She holds out her datapad for everyone to see the text displayed on it. Ladies and gentleman: the Firewall.]
no subject
[He's actually smiling. This is definitely one of the few positive developments.]
She may have chosen rather poorly for our alien hunter, but I'm not sure she's chosen poorly here. A little passive, perhaps, but you've made it work for you.
no subject
[She sighs. This is ridiculous. But at least she's cleared of being an alien, right???]
I'd considered you or Adam for this week myself, but it seems my role is over.

Are you serious right now? [He's not even sure he can be grateful for himself.] Question for you. Did Alice say why she chose you?

[Next question, since she's not going to clarify just on that.]

Oh, have you been hunting them? You've done a stellar job of it so far.

[ Jack wags a finger at Dorian, and he shakes his head ]
Y'see, I know you're being a sarcastic lil' shit right now, so I'll let it slide, because y'know what? I have. And you'll never know it. That's kind of the goddamn point. I'm the one that's supposed to do what's necessary. And I'll continue to do that.
no subject
[Sorry, he's going to continue being a sarcastic shit. The finger wagging sort of makes him want to set something on fire, and, well, he's the Nuwa to think of, so sarcasm it is.]
If you've done so well, why don't you name who's left? What do we actually have to lose? We can focus our attention on the ones you haven't confirmed.
no subject
Nope. Unfortunately for you, that decision rests in my hands, and I'm taking the gamble by keeping them secret. They know what to do. Because the whole point here? For every person I tell my job to, if I don't turn up dead? They're not infected. Simple as that. So the way I see it? This is a different problem from my side. Either we're dead because of this week's shit motive, or we continue playing. If it's the latter? They've gotta be able to hunt effectively. So I'm not saying how many or who. That's something that's going to the grave with me.
no subject
I wouldn't expect any less. After all, you were never particularly solicitous even with your allies. Slipped your mind between great deeds of heroism, I suppose.
no subject
...How long did you know about Elizabeth?
[Look inadvisably or otherwise she's been #teamjack for an unfortunately long time but not sure if she's mad or upset or frustrated or just way more intensely out for blood than usual yet??]
no subject
Soon as we found out Hancock had a role. That's a big threat to the Sou- Ah, screw it, the Soul Foods, their name is friggin' dumb as shit. But... Yeah, soon as that came up, I knew. Knew she did it, knew she genuinely didn't remember a thing about it.
[ He pauses, then adds: ]
And, to be honest? I had no idea they could even be saved. Wasn't mentioned. Don't know if the Captain even knew. If I'd known, I wouldn't have tried to poison her. But at the time? Was the only way I knew to make sure to take down one of 'em. [ He shrugs ] Dunno how much it'll mean now, but I apologized to her for that.
no subject
...Just wondering.
[The thing she decides on feeling is an extra undercurrent of alien-directed murderous rage underneath her usual level of misery.]
What makes the roles such big threats?
no subject
Simple enough. They're players with an extra advantage, or they can provide one. I mean, look at how shit we've been since we lost Hancock giving us stuff to help out? You take away the roles, you've got a pretty good chance of crippling the rest of us.
[ He shrugs ]
They work slow. Smart. Dunno what they're really trying to do here, but at this point? Kinda guessing that they just want to be the last ones standing.

[It's less shocking than with Jessie - because Marinette figured there'd be another role responsible for killing aliens other than Bull. Bull was a failsafe.]
[Except it's Jack]
And the captain chose you, not the AI?
