Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

Of course I can prove it! There's no role that fits me worse than what Alice has been asking me to do, and I wouldn't do it if it would backfire on me.

[She'll pull out her datapad so she can access the program. It'll take her a second to get there.

But as she loads it up...she shoots Dorian an impossibly smug look.]

Dorian, just what do you think 'undisclosed reasons' have meant all this time?

[He's actually smiling. This is definitely one of the few positive developments.]

She may have chosen rather poorly for our alien hunter, but I'm not sure she's chosen poorly here. A little passive, perhaps, but you've made it work for you.

I don't want to play the role of hero, but taking everything into my own hands...that's the part of the job I was good at!

[She sighs. This is ridiculous. But at least she's cleared of being an alien, right???]

I'd considered you or Adam for this week myself, but it seems my role is over.

I'm always clever in a favorable direction where my best interests are concerned. But in this case, I suppose I was trying to help more than just myself most of the time.

[She had good reasons for the people she'd chosen, of course.]

That's right. I even conned her into letting me pick two once. She regrets messing with me, I'm sure of it.

Jessie... that's amazing! You've been protecting people this whole time.

That's right, I've been carrying everyone on my shoulders, but at least now you all know Alice has been watching me too closely to get up to anything.

Well, at least there's me. I don't really mind Jack one way or the other, I've had other things to worry about.

[Like, you know, picking herself the week Todomatsu died.]

I'm obviously not an alien. Alice was watching me more closely than the rest of you. She kept commenting on all the choices I'd made during the week and everything, including whether or not I'd used the motto at all.

[She's remembering Jessie making fun of her for being lucky and telling her to make good use of it—the first little piece of sincerity she got from someone now so important to her. Too much has happened today alone, never mind the exhaustion she always carries, for Clover to act especially excited, but for Jessie, she...well, she tries.]

...That's really cool.

That's right, Ms. Week Three.

[She doesn't even have to count down or remember who she saved and when. Clover's choice was an easy one. She asked useful questions during the trial, so if there was a murder, it'd be advantageous to have her around.

She never thought she and Arbok would end up so fond of the kind of terrifying little cavewoman.]

It wasn't easy. [Again, she picked herself the week Todomatsu died, which is the worst feeling in the world.] But I excel at things that aren't easy.

You're right. The AI definitely picked the best woman for the job. [For all that Clover's made of snide remarks when she isn't feeling too dead inside to remark on anything at all, this is as genuine as it gets. Not that the threshold isn't abysmally low, but she even seems like she's brightened a bit when Jessie remembers so quickly.]

I almost wanted to turn her down. It's a good thing I didn't, I never expected everyone to be so into about murdering everyone else.

[maybe she shouldn't say that in front of Clover "Murder Arsenal" Field.]

You'll notice I picked myself twice. I was able to protect both myself and Todomatsu that way. He was...he knew a few weeks ago. I'd trusted him.

[He wants to roll his eyes at that but then she brings up Todomatsu and he can't help but feel a little bad.]

...we're all finding people here we trust. Hancock trusted Elizabeth. Bull trusted Dorian. You wouldn't be the first and honestly I'd be more surprised if you hadn't picked yourself once. [It's a little backwards but he can't say in full-faith he wouldn't do the same sometimes.]

If your role's over though...did Alice say why?
