WEEK 10 - Trial Day Two
the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (10) |
saturday TRIAL DAY ONE (16) survivors ![]() At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote. |

[ HM ]
You can attempt? To look at mine? I am suddenly not sure if this is a game abstraction like the ticking clocks and red gears when I use a fraymotif.
[ ????????????
???????????????????????????????????
let's assume for my sanity and the sake of checking this shit when dave pulls up his sylladex that jason can see this hot mess of an inventory system. with five cards. ]
Can you see this am I just pointing at air, I literally do not know, why is my life stupid?
[ the cards, for the record, have 1 red pen, 1 sketchbook, and then just. apple juice in the other three slots.
his sword is in his strife specibus in his sylladex which is apparently a sixth card but he doesn't count it since it's his strife deck
don't make me explain this further ]

As far as video game inventories go, that one looks like a mess, Dave.

I mean, they are, just sayin'. Buuuuut also not used to them being like, a physical thing, so just gotta say, kiddo. You're from a really friggin' weird place. Or can do weird shit. Either or.

[ well ]
Also the second one, but y'all literally cannot judge us for our trainwreck of a dimension if who the fuck ever with a thousand doctorates couldn't figure it out either, ok.
no subject
I mean, that's pretty bad? Like, a whole friggin' dimension and no one can understand it? Damn. At least, uh. Thanks for making the attempt, I guess? Sounds like total bullshit, but, eh, nothing personal in this case.

BUT OKAY. NO MORE TALKING ABOUT HOMESTUCK. Kind of. Jason is nodding since he can... apparently see it.]
Shockingly, I can see it. Which brings me to everyone's least favorite question. Is it possible to shove something around... let's say, 5'6" or 5'7" in those cards?

[ A SHRUG ]
It's not a thing I've ever attempted, even when I had to drag my own corpse around I literally just ditched it into a volcano, I didn't bother putting it into inventory.
[ dave??????? ]
no subject
So something like a body would be out of the question?
no subject
If the body were the size of a car, yes. Or like, Luke. But idk - we might be able to manage Liz or Totty? I'd be willing to try, I'd just have to ditch what I'm carrying now since I'm fresh out of space.
no subject
[she won't drop your juice, Dave, promise.]
no subject
Moms probs already has some empty spaces unless she filled up since yesterday so we can both just take a corpse and see if it works.
[ ew ]
And then burn our sylladexes forever.
no subject
We could wrap them in a sheet first if it would help you.
[it's still a dead body but it'd be a covered dead body.]
no subject
[ lmao dave ]
Uhhh. Let's see, gotta think up a word for it that scrabble values to four.
[ mutters to himself what the fuck are you talking about dave why the fuck is homestuck a headache but ok i guess he's ready to go whenever he thinks up a term for covered dead body that values out to four
whatever THAT means ]

It's all done.
