WEEK 10 - Trial Day Two

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (10)

saturday TRIAL DAY ONE

(16) survivors

At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort.

The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up.

The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body.

To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it.

Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote.

Marinette & Adrien

[personal profile] antietam 2016-08-14 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Marinette's room showed that Adrien clearly spends time in there, but otherwise nothing of note.

Adrien's room had weapons taken from the weapons room. None of them looked used, they were all dusty. Otherwise mostly nothing in there.

[personal profile] parodeity 2016-08-14 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[ thread here ]

so we did the whole blood test jack suggested yesterday
we being jack grell and me
smaller blood shit took like ten minutes to freeze
larger took like an hour
please let this help our timeline considerations because otherwise like ten people will say i told you so

airlock test version see you space dummy

[personal profile] parodeity 2016-08-14 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[ thread here ]

jason adrien and i tested how long itd take a dummy to be visible from the viewport if we airlocked it
took ten minutes for us to see the thing
has anyone been keeping count of how many dummies and robots weve sacrificed to science i feel like we should start doing that

poor dead robot

[personal profile] antietam 2016-08-14 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
The robot that Marinette and Dorian found had its arm dislodged and pried off.

Its attached arm seemed to be a decent match for Elizabeth's head wound.

blackout test + airlock stuff

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-08-14 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Adam, Ladybug and I went down to the lower deck with some others. Those two came with me to the fuel reserve, everybody else went to the airlock. We found out that the hole in the glass is about big enough to shove a robot through and also the glass breaks pretty easily. We also found out that the blackout wasn't caused by a robot being thrown into the glowing orb...RIP robot. The power stayed on the whole time and nothing about the ship's condition changed beyond that.

I'll let the others detail about the airlock itself.

judar dorian and i were in the airlock
literally nothing happened except 2 mages getting into an argument about whose barrier was better and also both of them trying to give me a heart attack
re: "im sure this barrier ive never tested in space will totally work"

robot arm

[personal profile] antietam 2016-08-14 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[ He'll just drag the dead robot along with him. ] If you look at the side where its arm came off, it looks like it was dislodged and pried off. So it wasn't pulled off or cut through.

Also... I checked its non-missing arm and it seemed like a decent match for Elizabeth's head wound. So I think that caused it and the robot clearly played a bigger part in this than we thought.

Judar went down to check the drop in the fuel reserve, but didn't find the robot arm like I thought he would. So it's still missing.

Where the fuck does one hide a robot arm, though? Did they toss it into space but like, a different direction? Have another robot take it and put it where robots go to die?

Maybe we should double check Liz and Totty's stomachs. [ SHE'S KIDDING ]

[personal profile] parodeity 2016-08-14 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Do robots go to die in the electric sheep room or something?

[ he. snorted. at the comment about checking stomachs and immediately felt bad because liz and totty were great damnit usually at least their corpse desecration has a purpose and some sort of positive results?? ]

[personal profile] antietam 2016-08-14 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it morally wrong to ask a robot to throw away a scrap of its dead sibling? Anyway, I don't think they can help beyond being pushed or thrown into things.

[ There's a pause where he thinks about acknowledging the stomach comment. He does not. ] If we can't find it, maybe it really is lost to space. Did we check the vents?
chiseler: (Default)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-08-14 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think so. But maybe we should? It couldn't hurt in this case since we're not finding it anywhere else.

Do you miss crawling in the vents? [ But also. What if it's dangerous for Luke. He is clearly battling with himself here. ]

... I'll do it. You just watch my back.

Maybe? Maybe they get put into cryostasis. Or maybe those cryo-lookin tubes were robot coffins.

Probs.

Well, if it's not in the vents [ eugh the vents ] then I'd guess it was just spaced. I mean, that'd be the smart thing to do? Since they were spacin' stuff anyway.

[personal profile] parodeity 2016-08-14 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Gotta agree with Moms on this one. But I guess if they used the vents ditching it in the vents would be an option? Though still that begs the question why not just throw it into space instead, that seems like the best long-term solution?

It'd definitely be smart. And a jerk move.

Excuse me. Would I be able to get a vent map to search for the missing robot arm on the bottom floor, please? Unless you can confirm that's not necessary.

Space is a bit more permanent, yeah. Maybe we can ask Alice to back up the ship and look for it? Tho if we already know it was a robot arm, that might be hella pointless.
