sunday TRIAL DAY TWO (24) survivors At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote.

The display case to the left of the conference table houses all the evidence that has been found during the investigation so far. Below each piece of evidence is a tablet where players can label the piece and type up any notes they may have about it. There are also empty slots with blank tablets for any evidence or information that may be found during the trial.

FUMI'S ROOM

[ OKAY THAT CHROME-LIKE OBJECT IS REALLY BOTHERING HIM

After glancing through the datapad, Machias gets an idea. So he's going to make a small trip to Fumi's room on his own and search around. He'll rifle through her desk real quick, not anticipating to find anything considering it'd been searched yesterday.

... Actually, let's search the bed too. He'll search the mattresses carefully before kneeling down and sticking his hand under the bed. Come on, that cellphone has to be around here somewhere. ]

[Her phone's on her body, so Machias isn't going to find it in her room.

He will, however, find a small pink bra under the bed. Enjoy!]

EMILY'S ROOM

A mess. She used some type of chemical to perfume her room to the point it was utterly disgusting and she even duct-taped her vent shut. She was attempting to write some letters but never quite finished. Nothing of real note.

Fumi's Room

Nothing strange was found in Fumi's room. Her cellphone was found on her body and therefore not in the room. She had a fair amount of notes on the alien's fighting patterns and her own power limitations. Additionally, the vent in her room did not seem to be used.

marinette's room

Didn't find anything interesting. Just clothes, wrappers, and a couple of disturbing notes.
State of the room seems to confirm that Adrien was staying with Marinette the morning of the murder, though.

Judar's Room

Judar's room was messy! I'll have to clean it after the trial, so he doesn't get sick. What that means is that me and Dave didn't find anything aside from a bunch of peach pits, some clothes and some fish props. I took one, I'm going to name it Judave!

the scrap of paper

[After this discussion Luke's coming over to check out the paper Shelley found. Can he examine it, and if so would it look more flat like printing paper or a little shiny like wrapping paper or something else entirely?]

[It's definitely not thin enough to be wrapping paper.]

[Okay he's going to go away and borrow the map replica from Adam to come back and compare them more closely. How're we looking? Same thickness, same kind of colors that would match up, etc?]

[The scrap's too burnt to tell regarding colors, but it does seem to be slightly stiffer than the vent map.]

Shelley's room

Nothing but some letters and some sketches (nice drawings btw Shelley but that one of me and Arbok's totally inaccurate). Also lots of empty wine bottles? But nothing that could pinpoint her to this murder from the looks of it.

...there was a cell phone on her bed and if we'd thought to check that out we could have solved this yesterday based on the recordings she left behind. My bad.

Note to future room searchers: check EVERYTHING.

Adrien's room

Everything was very nice!! Except for some Camembert wrappings around. Models can be a little strange, I guess!! But there was nothing else in the room, really.

[So, in the interests of narrowing down whether or not the burnt paper scrap is or is not the vent map, Totty is going to check out how paper from the printer fares in the incinerator. Luckily we have a surplus of alien cuke drawings ready to sacrifice themselves for the cause, so he throws one in and clicks on the incinerator, waiting the 0-9:59 for it to begin]

[It'll partly burn in about five minutes. It doesn't look like the regular printer paper matches the texture though.]

[Hmm... He'll pull out the scraps early so that there can be a big comparison jamboree. The regular paper, the vent map, and the burnt scrap Jessie and Shelley found; they all feel a bit different?]

Are they all just different weights of paper? Or are there bigger differences, like poster paper, slick magazine sheets, or even cardstock, like a clothing tag or something?]
