saturday TRIAL DAY ONE (29) survivors At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote.

{ Arumat could not believe it had been only a few days ago he had been speaking to the both of them -- Light and Clover Field, that is -- and that the man was now dead as hell. Granted, the man had made sure to protect his sister, so there was that -- some sort of silver lining but he wished it did not have to come at the cost of two lives.

Regardless, there's a reason in particular he chose this room. He'll walk in and try to see if there was anything that could be observed from the start. }

... Luke, how did your inquiry with the weapon go?

{ He vaguely remembers suggesting he look into it, like Jason had but he was trying to keep his head on straight with the many conversations going on around that he hadn't known what came of it. }

[Goddamnit Kosy why. Anyway, he's still sort of sulking because...he sure doesn't want to talk about that!!! So he makes a noise and waves it away with a hand as they head into Light's room. It's a little funny to him that in the first week Light had been the one to search his room and now...this. Light's dead and Clover's up for suspicion, as is Frankenstein, and overall it's pretty stressful even if Luke's handling it decently enough.

He'll follow Arumat and as he always does with room searches, his eyes glance at the desk as he approaches it to see the damage.]

Probably not that important right now, huh? Let's focus on Light's room first. [What's here?]

[ More like rye kosy, rye. Anyway, the first thing they'll notice is that there's another turret, and they're flippin' dead.

Just kidding! Nothing seems out of the ordinary at first glance, besides the fact that the room seems a little bit messier than one would expect from Light.

Luke's desk inspection will get him....... a whole lot of nothing. Woohoo! There's some books nabbed from the archives (braille editions of course) stacked nicely on the top, but nothing seems too out of place from just a look.

{ Good thing there isn't, because Arumat would have pushed Luke out of the way without a second thought. Ha ha.

Well, Arumat will be heading over to Light's bed, searching through it, and looking around its general area. He's actually just looking for Clover's shit so he can just hand it back to her but really. There's no reason to not give the place a thorough look around. }

I thought it was since its relevant to the case.

Find anything?

[He's going to be rifling through drawers for a little while, potentially pocketing any little trinkets he can find but mostly amusing himself with searching. From there, he's going to be checking the bathroom, hands running over surfaces, checking drawers, etc.]

I mean it is relevant, but...[He shrugs. Still not admitting anything lalala...] The desk isn't giving me much other than books which...makes sense. I saw both of them down in the archives room at the beginning of the week.

[ I sandwish Luke would offer a little more consideration for the deceased and the deceased's family.

But beds, oh, beds. Light's bed is obviously the bottom bunk, since it's in a general state of "made". Nothing seems off there either, though there is another book sitting on top of the pillow. Again, braille. As for the top bunk: hope you enjoy blankets. It's bleeding blankets. There's so many, oh my god. Not that there's anything for Arumat to find in blanket hell, if he wants to go looking there. General area seems fine too.

Luke's drawer rifling gets mixed results. That is, he'll find some pink trinkets here and there but are you really going to rob from the girl who just lost her brother? Goddamn, Luke. Oh, also, there's a sheet of paper, but it's just a list of names (everyone's on the ship, actually) with various amounts of money listed beside some of them. ]

{ That's the curt and only response Luke is getting because Arumat cannot comprehend why he's keeping important information to himself. He assumes it'll mean he would reveal it later, but even then he still doesn't understand the reluctance to discuss the topic. At least he doesn't understand it... yet.

Arumat's not interested in the many blankets, although he takes one himself. Maybe Clover would like one from Light's room tonight.

He'll then move to search Light's closet to see if there were any items within that belonged to her or if there was anything out of the usual. }

[It's because Luke is actually a shady son of a bitch who doesn't do well owning up to responsibilities. Anyway, while Arumat's busy actually being a sensitive person, Luke's finding there isn't much else super-duper interesting in all of the pink (but one or two things go in his pocket simply because they're there.) That's not what he finds interesting. Instead, he's picking up that piece of paper and he's reading it over, letting out a low whistle.]

Man. You think it's possible we all have a hit out for us? [He's selfish and looking to see what kind of number is written next to himself out of curiosity, if there is one. He's also hoping to take note of what names have money written next to them.] Hey, Arumat. Do you think there's actually a need for currency here? [Light what the hell is this...this better just be you being a weirdo. Anything else to note on that paper itself before he moves on?]

[ Welcome to the DARK SIDE. But yeah sorry Luke, you have a great big amount of NOTHING beside your name. Sorry for tanking your self-worth. Go talk with Rhys, who-- woah, his number is bigger than anyone else's, with a "C" beside it. Ka-ching! Jack also has money beside him ("L", as well), though it's minimal, as did Adam.... but that's been scribbled out. Everything else is lookin' pretty normal here, though, and there's nothing else of note.

Fields, man.

As for the closet, hope you were ready for a big ol' blast of PINK, Arumat, because there is so much pink. So, yes, there is stuff from Clover here. A lot of stuff, actually. The pink is limited to what is obviously Clover's side, but there's also a pink sweater on Light's side as well. That's... about the only interesting thing you'll get. ]

{ It may seem to be out of curiosity, since he can't see what Luke's seeing now, and it makes it hard to answer his questions. He begins to grab Clover's stuff one by one, as well as the pink sweater. She can't go around in limited wardrobe.

Why does he go through so much trouble sometimes ... }

[Goddamn Fields. He's going to hold onto that paper and wave it in front of Arumat's face because I guess that's what you do when you're running on little sleep and adrenaline from nearly being shot multiple times by a turret.]

Take a look. [He has no idea what the numbers or letters mean, nor does he know why Adam's was scribbled out. Is this written in pen or pencil? i.e. is there any way he can uncover the scribbled out part?] You know. Once you're done updating your wardrobe. I can wait.

[ Why would you steal Light's favorite sweater, Arumat? Though it's not like he's using it anymore.

Everything on the paper is written in pen, and maybe Luke can catch a bit of a number underneath all that scribbling anyway, but yeah. That's it. Oh, but like, here's some other names with money on them: Niles (L), Jason (C), Judar (C), Dorian (L). Rhys (C) still trumps them all. You go, Rhys.

Also Jessie and Frankenstein, like Adam, has some scribbles beside their names. ]

{ Arumat will just make this annoyed sound when he does, but his golden eyes flicker up to the paper, reading it at lightning speed. He pretends he didn't see shit though so he doesn't have to answer right away, hahahaha.

Once he's done, he'll finally answer. }

Looks irrelevant to the trial. Seems we should focus on other details instead, but if you want, you can keep it.

{ He'll just begin to head towards the exit leisurely. }

Do you think anywhere else in the room needs to be searched?

[He's just going to roll his eyes. He's not stupid enough to believe Arumat didn't at least get some of that information, but if he's going to be that way he's going to keep it. It's something to ask Clover about at least because he has a Hunch to what that might be.

He also doesn't immediately answer as he pockets the paper and moves to do one more sweep of the bathroom. From there, he calls out:]

Did you check under the beds and the floor of the closet, too?

[ Bathroom is clean and so was Light apparently since there's just the essentials here, all neat and orderly. Bathroom-y essentials.

If Arumat does decide to heed Luke's instructions to check under the beds and the floor of the closet, he'll find it's like looking into a jar labelled "Clover's happiness". Because there's nothing there.

Ohohoho!
