WEEK 6 - Investigation
| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (6) |
friday (?) survivors ![]() Friday comes, and with it, another alarm. At 10:00 AM, a chaotic, dark song plays, more explicitly sinister in tone than previous alarms. As usual, it refuses to stop until you exit your room. The atmosphere seems to change as soon as you open your door, as if you have been left out of something cataclysmic; you feel compelled to explore. Tentatively, you leave your safe haven. taken list profiles setting rulebook ENTER COMMAND_ |

There also seems to be a hand sticking out from underneath his body that doesn't belong to him....]

HEY! We got a body over here, maybe two!
no subject
[ ... she's staring at the medbay first, totally pissed off. WHY. WHY!!
... But okay, right, bodies. ]
no subject
That's a shame, for more than one reason. [she makes a face, and then:] Guess we better see what's underneath.
no subject
[And he turns around and steps into the medbay to grab Light.]

One, he's walking rather awkwardly towards the Medical Bay. He has his hand pressed to his side rather tightly, and it's easy to see blood seeping through his shirt. Though of course, you can probably hear him coming, since he's clearly pretty unhappy. ]
—nna wring that idiot's goddamn neck soon as I find him. Christ!
[ Though two... Jack isn't wearing his mask. It's not exactly a pretty sight either, though he stops just short of the door. There are people gathered here, which makes it pretty easy to guess what's happened, and he probably speaks over Hancock as he steps inside the medbay. ]
Seriously? Now? Aaaaaahhhhh what is with this week? Did this motive make everyone friggin'—
[ Though the rest is cut off but the loud, sharp sound of those bullets. ]
no subject
Well, he knows how it feels like to get shot. But not like that. He immediately gets shot down and falls over, blood coming out of every area on his chest and even parts of his face.]
Hah...shit...one last trip...
[And then takes his last breath.]

[at least she's trying to be quick on her feet, backstepping and grabbing fumi abruptly by the arm to get her out of the doorway. and right into jack, apparently, stumbling over a bit.
her bad, but—]
Get back! [she can't even properly check on hancock yet, so this is all pretty damn boned. they need a plan.
of course, whether or not this actually works...? but she's trying here.]
no subject
[ Fumi's swear gets cut off as Harold hauls her backwards, and she honestly has no idea who to be checking on her, but at least she's not dead?? ... Not that she can see what the hell just shot Hancock, but... ]
Okay, so whatever weapon in there's still hot. We're not going to be able to get in without deactivating it first.

Vishante Kaffas! What's happened here? Is that - Hancock?
[Since it's not at all clear what's happening except that two body announcements played, he quickly gets his staff out and casts a barrier.]
no subject
Jack shifts closer to the door, though he stays behind cover. This is fairly familiar territory for him, and he's immediately starting to fiddle with the gun on his arm to change the settings. ]
God dammit, someone got the turret? Points for taste, but—
[ He makes a sharp sound, then looks to Dorian as he approaches, then the other two. ]
Gotta take that thing out before we even go in there, kiddos. I've got my gun, but if y'all have any brilliant ideas, would sure like to hear them.
no subject
[she's not as calm as she's trying to make herself sound right now. she'll take a second at least to shoot jack an apologetic look—when they get this sorted out, she'll take a look at it, if he wants.
at least dorian's got a barrier up.]
If we have a barrier, we can get the bodies out of the way and try to stop the shooting—and fast, or we're all gonna end up like Swiss cheese.
[she's got an idea, at least.]
Fumi-Fumi, you can freeze stuff, right? That might do the trick.
no subject
[ Harold's got it. As Dorian's barrier settles into place, Fumi's just going to nonchalantly step into the medbay and walk over to that cabinet, one hand reaching for her cellphone from her jacket pocket. She'll sigh over bruises later.
That hand glows blue, and then there's a brighter blue layer of ice springing out of apparently nowhere to cover the cabinet itself-- something like a very thick shield between the turret and them. ]

What've they done? Don't tell me we have three --
no subject
Okay, so just for reference, since some people here aren't familiar with guns? Using cryo on it? Yeah, that doesn't disable it. Might want to keep your shield or-- Or whatever it is up, bucko.
[ Though now that he's not going to be the action hero of the day, he's pressing his hand back to his side, though he hisses out a pained noise. ]
And grab a damn medkit or something while you're in there! That's why I came here in the first place.
no subject
[she'll give jack that much assurance as she steps further into the room for the first aid supplies. she can help jack out and keep focused on the investigation at the same time.]
We might have three. First, we're going to have to move Light's body to see what's underneath.
[she'll shoot a look to fumi, because it'll be quicker if they split the duties here, and science ladies gotta work efficiently. so her attention will turn back to jack, and she'll sigh pretty heavily. she'll help, if he lets her.] What happened to you?
no subject
It's not at full power, but we've probably got at least an hour.
[ But she'll join Dorian over by Light('s dead body), tucking her fingers under it with very little fanfare. ] Help me lift it. We'll have to drag them all out anyway.
no subject
Also, Jack and Harold are shit outta luck, because it looks like the bandages, gauze, and pain relief cream are all stored in the cabinet with the turret.]
no subject
[He will reach to help lift light out of the way of Clover. Is she dead...?]
no subject
See to him if you want, but the guy just ate a friggin' clip full of bullets. If he's still alive, he's not gonna be for much longer.
[ Apparently Jack is especially charming today... ]
But no, it's not fatal. Just got stabbed. It's no big deal. I get stabbed all the time. Came here to stitch myself up, but noooooooo, this is just not the week for anything to go remotely well.
no subject
Looks like you're out of luck until we get our bullet friend out of here anyway, everything we need is still behind the ice. [she's not amused, but if it's not fatal, he'll just have to deal with it.
that just means with another sigh, she'll turn back to helping dorian and fumi, at least. she can't move much at all, but at least she'll recognize who it is easily enough.]
Clover—All right, come on. Group effort, we have to see what's going on under here. [so once dorian lifts light enough for her to squeeze on in, harold's first order of business is to look for a pulse. it wouldn't be the first time someone wasn't actually dead, after all.]
no subject
[ That's also really not surprising at all, finding Clover under there, and while Harold's investigating to see if she's actually still alive, Fumi will turn her attention to Light. Anything strange about the body beyond the... probably absurd amount of bullet holes? ]
