friday (?) survivors Friday comes, and with it, another alarm. At 10:00 AM, a chaotic, dark song plays, more explicitly sinister in tone than previous alarms. As usual, it refuses to stop until you exit your room. The atmosphere seems to change as soon as you open your door, as if you have been left out of something cataclysmic; you feel compelled to explore. [He'll go in after Fumi, ready to blast the turret with an ice spell if it makes a move again. Otherwise, going immediately to Light's fallen body.]

What've they done? Don't tell me we have three --

[ Well, that works. Jack relaxes somewhat, though he definitely still stays behind cover, since there's no way in hell he's going to get shot to investigate a body. He's definitely not that selfless. ]

Okay, so just for reference, since some people here aren't familiar with guns? Using cryo on it? Yeah, that doesn't disable it. Might want to keep your shield or-- Or whatever it is up, bucko.

[ Though now that he's not going to be the action hero of the day, he's pressing his hand back to his side, though he hisses out a pained noise. ]

And grab a damn medkit or something while you're in there! That's why I came here in the first place.

The ice will probably hold for a bit, her magic's pretty strong stuff.

[she'll give jack that much assurance as she steps further into the room for the first aid supplies. she can help jack out and keep focused on the investigation at the same time.]

We might have three. First, we're going to have to move Light's body to see what's underneath.

[she'll shoot a look to fumi, because it'll be quicker if they split the duties here, and science ladies gotta work efficiently. so her attention will turn back to jack, and she'll sigh pretty heavily. she'll help, if he lets her.] What happened to you?

[laptopper]

[ Fumi sighs a little under her breath, mumbling something that's probably an exasperated insult towards Jack, and maybe also considering explaining how best to disable evidence without outright destroying it, but-- ]

It's not at full power, but we've probably got at least an hour.

[ But she'll join Dorian over by Light('s dead body), tucking her fingers under it with very little fanfare. ] Help me lift it. We'll have to drag them all out anyway.

[The second they start lifting Light, they'll notice that his body was covering up a much smaller body and shielding most of it from view until now. Congrats guys, you've found Clover Field.

Also, Jack and Harold are shit outta luck, because it looks like the bandages, gauze, and pain relief cream are all stored in the cabinet with the turret.]

I can reinforce the ice if need be. As for Jack, If it isn't fatal, I think the injuries can wait. See to Hancock.

[He will reach to help lift light out of the way of Clover. Is she dead...?]

[ Jack scoffs at Harold's question, and you can almost hear the "it's a long story" in its tone. Yet he doesn't explain just yet, since Dorian's comment gets him to address that more quickly. ]

See to him if you want, but the guy just ate a friggin' clip full of bullets. If he's still alive, he's not gonna be for much longer.

[ Apparently Jack is especially charming today... ]

But no, it's not fatal. Just got stabbed. It's no big deal. I get stabbed all the time. Came here to stitch myself up, but noo^oooooo, this is just not the week for anything to go remotely well.

Looks like you're out of luck until we get our bullet friend out of here anyway, everything we need is still behind the ice. [she's not amused, but if it's not fatal, he'll just have to deal with it.

that just means with another sigh, she'll turn back to helping dorian and fumi, at least. she can't move much at all, but at least she'll recognize who it is easily enough.]

Clover—All right, come on. Group effort, we have to see what's going on under here. [so once dorian lifts light enough for her to squeeze on in, harold's first order of business is to look for a pulse. it wouldn't be the first time someone wasn't actually dead, after all.]

[laptopper]

Talking isn't going to slow your blood flow, for the record. As for Hancock... yeah, I'm pretty sure he's a corpse.

[ That's also really not surprising at all, finding Clover under there, and while Harold's investigating to see if she's actually still alive, Fumi will turn her attention to Light. Anything strange about the body beyond the... probably absurd amount of bullet holes? ]

[Harold will find a pulse, though it's weak. Looks like Clover's still alive, but she's clearly in pretty bad shape. There's a bruise on the side of her head and while her torso isn't as riddled with bullets as Light and Hanock, she's still bleeding from bullet wounds on her arms and grazes on her sides where Light's body hadn't fully covered her.

Light's full of bullet holes, but there's nothing else about him that seems immediately off.]

Is she alive?

[Just assuming Harold reacts in some way to the pulse. He's still helping move Light out of the way, but once they've moved the body off of Clover, he'll go to set it down to help with Clover instead.]

We'll need to get a healer. And destroy that thing, so we can get to the supplies.

[ Well, this pretty much sucks. Now that he actually has a reason to be more helpful, Jack finally walks into the medbay, though he's staring towards the turret quite seriously as he seems to think it over. He knows turrets pretty damn well, all things considered, but the general thing to do is just blow them up. In this case? He realizes it's probably not a good idea.

So, when in doubt, phone a friend. ]

Hey, Alice. Ya listening?

[ Jack looks up towards the ceiling, though that's just idle, since he's hoping that Alice will indeed respond. ]

Could use a little assistance here if you don't want a few more bodies. Can you turn that thing off? Or, hell, I'll take any suggestions to just get it to stop shooting for a minute so I can get into it myself.

Very well, Jack. While I normally would not interfere with a murder, we have reached a satisfactory number of bodies this week anyway.

[With a beep, the turret powers off.]

[laptopper]

... Classy.

[ "Satisfactory"... ]

So we've got two dead, one partially alive-- someone go get a healer or a doctor or whatever. I want to investigate this further.

[ Possibly tear her dress up a bit for bandages if she must. Just in case the ice takes awhile. ]

Someone ought to look at poor Hancock. At least to be certain. [Though there was the body announcement.] I'll go to get help.

[And with that he's fade stepping out of the room, probably hitting Jack with a blast of a little ice on his way. Serves him right for standing uselessly there.]

Thank you. At least something is easy today.

[ Jack is pretty exasperated, but his thanks actually does sound halfway genuine. For Jack, that's doing very well. Though since Dorian had insisted before leaving, Jack will at least head back to the Hancock's body to check it out. He groans as he shifts to kneel, since that definitely does not feel good, but, hey, he at least checks for a pulse. ]

How dead are ya, buddy?

[ you can tell he's an optimist ]

[Yeah, Hancock's pretty dead. He might have still been alive if everyone hadn't taken so long to remember he was around!!

...buuuuut judging from the number of bullets in him, probably not.]

[laptopper]

[ Who knows, maybe Hancock will answer.

Or not.

In the meantime, Fumi's turning her attention back to Light for a more thorough investigation. She'll give the actual room a look-through once the ice has melted a little more and she's sure she isn't missing something past all the blood. Any bruising or injuries not caused by bullets? Too hard to tell? ]

Yeah, that's what I figured.

[ Jack stands again, though while Fumi is investigating Light's body, Jack is going to head over to check out that turret. Anything strange about it? ]

[It's really hard to tell considering the number of bullet holes in him, but it doesn't look like there are any obvious injuries on Light that weren't caused by the bullets.

The turret's compact, portable, and definitely not infringing on any sort of copyright at all. There doesn't seem to be anything strange about it.]

[laptopper]

[ So not a whole lot of helpful hints about the body, other than the obvious. For now, because geez, things never turn out to be obvious. ]

You're not going to need me to bandage you, are you?

[ ... to Jack, even as she moves around the room now, checking to see if anything appears out of place. She knows this damn medbay by heart now. ]

...At least it looks good.

[ Of course he appreciates the design here. Though since the ice has melted, he's going to check this thing out a little more if possible. Even so, before he actually moves it, he's probably going to see if there's any way to confirm it's disabled. Or rip out wires. Just to be sure. Not saying he doesn't trust you, Alice, but Jack likes to be thorough. ]

No, it's not that bad, just wasn't expecting to play action hero for a second there. You see some bandages and the stuff to make sutures, toss it my way. I'll take care of it myself.

[Given the whole turret thing, it's not a surprise the medbay's wrecked to hell and then some. There's a whole bunch of bullet holes in the wall and cabinets opposite the turret, and most of the things in there have been shot up and destroyed. The diagnostic machine is also a smoking broken wreck.

That said, at least it looks like the drawers were out of the line of fire. If Fumi checks, she'll notice that one of the syringes that had been labeled beforehand is missing.]

[laptopper]

Check that cabinet you're in. If things weren't tampered with completely, the bandages should be in--

[ ... goddammit. ]

Always with the syringes going missing!

[ At least once Jack is more or less satisfied with turret safety, he's going to pick it up to move it out of those cabinets. He'll check the contents of them to see if there's anything obviously out of place, but. He's definitely looking for the aforementioned items. ]

...Seriously? Someone shot the guys fulla holes, and they still used a syringe? People here wayyyy over-complicate their work.
