WEEK 6

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (6)

monday - thursday

(31) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

(OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.)

...yeah, well. [He doesn't know what to say for a moment.] With your hair like that can't you only see with one eye anyway? [He's grinning though which is something.] The week's almost over. Is it wrong to maybe hope somebody's gonna go for this motive...?

[He'd probably never ask this of just anybody, but it's Arumat.]

No, I can see just fine.

{ He'll cross his arms and consider Luke's words. He didn't approve, even if the feeling that yes, he would wish that something would end this motive already was already bubbling up inside of him. It made him feel sick. }

It is wrong. Doesn't mean you're the only one hoping. Yet, even so, I'd put up with these nightmares until the climax of The Cradle Project if it meant that no one would strike down another innocent civilian.

{ Luke's more lucky he's asking this of Arumat, than others. He knows that people would probably dog and condemn the man for it. It's only natural, however, at this point, with the way the experiment begins to encourage this twisted madness. }
chiseler: (nice work you did)

I don't know if I'd go that far. [It's more quiet consideration than an actual threat of any sort. Nightmares and Luke don't tend to bode very well even as he thinks it through.] What do you think would really happen if nobody took the bait anyway? Would Alice just up her game?

...

I remember we spoke about this before in the first week.

{ He'll idly place a hand against a wall, after uncrossing his arms. It's ironic they encircled back to this... "if no one took her up on the motive", but Arumat seems to have an ans-- or well, thought. }

The AI had insinuated that no matter what would happen, someone would give into the bait. Whether by force I assume or because the would-be killer wouldn't be able to resist the idea of obtaining something over the death of an innocent civilian. In one way we could also assume she'd be upping her game in order to make it happen.

The AI is desperate to see bloodshed, after all.

Are we sure it's her and not just because she's got her hands tied? Uh, metaphorically or whatever. I don't think she has actual hands to tie. [He does recall speaking of this early in their stay.] I'd like to see just what kind of force she'd actually apply if it came down to it.
