Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

[Immediately rolls her eyes, but she does try to get a better look at... whatever Jessie's holding before it gets slid into hammerspace]

If anyone needs help finding the children's section, it'd you. [she fires back, already rolling her eyes.]

[But she clears her throat, digging out the gifts, just because she half regrets this and wants to get this over with as soon as possible]

No, I... I have something. For you.

[please don't make her regret this, aka: please do]

You can't just use my own insult like tha—

[She points at Marinette as she counters, and the thing she'd hidden in her hand falls to the table she's sitting at with a klink.

It's one half of a pendant. She snatches it up, but it's too late.]

...What are you talking about? Is this about the...thing we've been thinking about?

[Huh, a locket... how ~interesting~!! Marinette takes note of it - this definitely was related to last week's crack in Jessie's comedy armor]

[but nevertheless, she has a delivery to make. She practically shoves them in Jessie's hands, not letting her say no.]

No-- they're for you and Arbok. Last week was... pretty rough. So.

It's nothing. It's something from a long time ago. Since I keep it with me, it must have shown up with my clothes.

[She has like three rocket uniforms, for the record. It looks less like a locket and more like, oddly enough, a golden egg that was broken in half. It's missing the other piece.]

Wait—what are you—first of all, Arbok doesn't even have ears, so I don't know what kind of game you're trying to play!

[But Arbok is coming closer! What's up Marinette. He hates Jason, but he knows The Plan and is therefore okay with Miss Ledyba.]

Does it have anything to do with your mother...?

[Huh. She notes that for future reference. She avoids looking at Jessie, instead glancing to Arbok and frowns.]

The earrings aren't for Arbok.

[look Jessie she's trying to admit to nothing so PLEASE STOP]

My best friend, exactly. She has the other half.

[She says this like it isn't interesting information, and there it goes. She slides the half of the pendant back to wherever it came from.]

...Hold on. Are you telling me you actually made me something? Are you sick? Is this your nightmare, giving gifts to me?

[Jessie scoots away in her chair just a little.]

Oh. [man, she didn't know Jessie has friends.] Well-- at least it didn't get destroyed.

[Marinette folds her arms and glares at a spot!! Not Jessie!!]

Don't get too excited. I made gifts for a lot of people. [It's not like she cares or anything, b-baka] I just thought, with what the items people had were..... Last week was just. Hard. For a lot of people.

[She misses her own mother like crazy and it's only been a few weeks, so if Jessie's mom left her as a kid]

I suppose that's true. I wonder how she's doing.

[She might never get to see Blissey again. It's for the best. She's a Rocket and all, but that these charms showed up pinned to her clothes makes her lucky.]

Right, the week where you lost your sketchbook. That must have been traumatizing.

[Her voice is dripping with sarcasm, but Arbok flops his head on the table and pokes the bowtie with his snout. 'Charbaw?, he asks as he looks at Marinette. With a sigh, Jessie takes the bowtie and carefully moves it over his head so that it rests where his hood starts. He immediately does his smiling anime snake thing again, moving his head up and down as he goes...

...to give Marinette a very big hug.]

Probably better than we are. [that's really comforting, Marinette!!!]

[Anyway, she rolls her eyes hard at Jessie - it did bother her to lose all that work, even though she objectively knows it wasn't as bad as some of the other people's items - but before she can throw out a retort, Arbok puts on his bowtie and then gives her a hug]

---Ack!

[she is completely taken aback and freezes up instinctively because she's getting hugged by a snake, but awkwardly laughs and tries to pat his scales once she gets ahold of herself]

I-I'm glad you like it, Arbok....

[Jessie's lips quirk into a smile and a short laugh follows.] I can't say that's wrong.

[But dammit Marinette, don't be funny? She immediately goes back to looking stonefaced, even if Arbok is going to strangle for her for a few seconds. He's a very friendly snake.]

Alright, Arbok! That's enough! If you squeeze her any longer, we're going to be accused of murder next. [He chuffs happily and slithers back over to behind Jessie.

Really, the earrings are cute, but...she can't accept things like this!]

So, there must be some kind of trick to these. Do they explode? Make a weird noise so you can track me in the dark? Well?

[Marinette does her best to semi-return the hug of the over-enthusiastic snake, patting his scales until she's free. When she's free, she breathes a sigh of relief she just didn't get strangled to death.]

Like I said, don't get the wrong idea. There's no trick, and you two aren't the only ones. I just... wanted to keep busy.

[and do something nice for the people here]

[Ugh. She hates this. After a long moment, she picks the earrings back up and inspects them more closely.]

Right. You told me you wanted to be a fashion designer, didn't you?

[The sketchbook, right?]

At least you picked a good subject. And they do look like Arbok if you don't look too closely.

[She's. Trying to say something nice.]

[Don't make it weird, Jessie!!!]

[But, wow, she actually remembered. Maybe Jessie isn't as rude as she pretends to be]

It was the best I could do with these materials. But you're right-- I do want to become a fashion designer. And I think we could all do with a little more fashion and a little less murder.

[She.... considers thanking her for the sort of compliment, but that would probably hurt both their prides too much]

Your fashion could do with a little more white...and maybe a letter in bold font, probably a letter between "Q" and "S"...and a splash of magenta.

[Design clothes that fit her aesthetic perfectly, Marinette. It's helpful advice.]

Alice did leave me with a nice gown. As lovely as it is and I am, I'm not really in a gown wearing mood these days.

Are you trying to make me part of your little gang...? [She's not buying it, girl]

I doubt anyone is, in a place like this. But why would Alice give you a dress? Unless you mean it's part of your wardrobe?

Of course not! You wouldn't be able to cut it! But if you designed cute outfits for me, maybe I'd cut you a tiny sliver of a fraction of a percent of a decimal point of slack.

[She'd still treat her the same, in other words.]

That's right. It's part of my wardrobe. I wear other cost...I mean, other clothes from time to time. I'm still a fashionable young woman.

Nice try, Jessie. If you have a request, add it to the others, and I'll see if I feel like it.

[Yeah, that's exactly what she thinks]

Funny, I can't see you in a dress. [Don't be a shit, Marinette]

That's because you can't see how great it is! Team Rocket looks fantastic in whatever we're wearing, whether it's dresses, period costumes, laboratory gear, sports uniforms...

[She trails off, mentioning a few really specific things...but she snaps back to reality eventually.]

Well, I'm not about to beg for anything. But I'll hold onto these earrings for now. If Arbok ever gets his ears pierced, they might look good on him.

I didn't realize you had so many costume changes. Are you stage actors?

[Yikes, Jessie.]

Whatever you say. If... Arbok wants something else, just tell me.

[She can admit to liking Arbok he's cute]
