[Wednesday — Holding Cells, part 1]

[Did someone challenge her to do this? Does it matter? Starting in the early morning, Jessie can be found locked in one of the holding cells. She doesn't look annoyed. She doesn't look distressed. She looks bored (maybe even contemplative if you squint).

She's reading one of the tablets, and she's gotten some decent music to play. Anyone who stares too long will eventually get a stare, or maybe they'll follow one of the robots. She's still ordering food, she's just making them shove the items one by one through the bars.]

What are you staring at? Can't you tell a criminal mastermind is at work?

[Wednesday — Holding Cells, part 2]

[And once she's all alone in the room...well, that would be spoilers.

Surely, someone is hanging around outside the holding cells. And hopefully it's one of the people who made sure to see she was 100% locked in, because after spending those hours in the holding cells, Jessie leaves the room after unlocking the cell herself. It would be nicer if there was a crowd applauding her, but this'll do.

She walks out of the room with a smug sense of satisfaction written all over her face. This week has been rough, even moreso than usual because she's been thinking about her mother, but a little villainy practice has definitely put her back in the mood.]

Holding Cells 2

Someone's in good mood today!

[Heeey there! It's surprising to see Jessie leaving the Holding Cells. What could she be doing in there? Shelley wonders, but refrains from going in]

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-06 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
That's because someone knows how to break out of the holding cells.

[Should she be bragging about this?

...yes, yes. Definitely. Yes.]

It was only a matter of time before I discovered the secret, of course, but a thief never backs down from a challenge!
tacklefordwhimsy: It is not very attractive (Did you know you are going bald?)

[personal profile] tacklefordwhimsy 2016-07-06 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? Is that possible? Did you really find a way to outsmart Alice's cells?

[Not bad, not bad!]

It's the kind of thing I wouldn't believe unless I saw it by myself.
toprotecttheworld: (42)

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-06 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
What, you're telling me you spent all that time in your cardboard fortress and never figured it out for yourself? That's a little pathetic.

[She says "pathetic," but there's warmth in her voice because she still likes Shelley. Probably.]

I'd show you myself, but some tricks are best kept up my own sleeve. You can ask anyone who came by in the morning, though. I was locked in tight.

[...

...and really, would anyone release her willingly.]
tacklefordwhimsy: It is a joke, be amused (Realistic for a second)

[personal profile] tacklefordwhimsy 2016-07-06 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, I have an excuse! I wasn't trying to get out!

...

...I have no doubt I'd be able to escape a cell if I wanted, though.
toprotecttheworld: (46)

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-06 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Just like you'd have no problem stealing Arbok, right~?
tacklefordwhimsy: Tell me all your secrets (So how about them bioweapons)

[personal profile] tacklefordwhimsy 2016-07-07 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, now you're playing dirty, reminding me of my mistakes.

[Shelley theatrically pretends to be hurt, but she can't hold the charade for long. She starts laughing]

I had never seen a confused reptile until that day! I felt so bad for Arbok, hahaha...
toprotecttheworld: (43)

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-07 12:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, as long as only we know it's a mistake, the important thing is you showed up that unpleasant man.

[Unless it comes back to bite them.]

But I feel bad for him, too, just like I feel bad for everyone on this blasted ship.
tacklefordwhimsy: Carrion meals are troublesome (Ravens are a burden)

[personal profile] tacklefordwhimsy 2016-07-07 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Luke isn't so bad. He just loves being manipulative and hates when the tables are turned on him.

[In other words, he's like any other manipulative person]

It's not hard to see through him, but I think he's not a bad person.
toprotecttheworld: (47)

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-07 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
He isn't the worst, I'll give him that much.

[That honor goes to someone else. Probably Arumat smh.]

So, what do you think, Shelley? Who do you think are the bad people on this ship? Myself obviously included, of course.
tacklefordwhimsy: These wounds are part of the job (I'm a pro at journalism)

[personal profile] tacklefordwhimsy 2016-07-07 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
The bad people! Besides you, let's see...

[It takes a moment for her to think something]

It's weird, not many scream 'VILLAIN' to me. Rhys is pretty much the only one I can see being a bad guy, and that's only because he'd be the classic bumbling ineffectual bad guy.

It could be said you have the monopoly on villainy in this place.

Rhys isn't pretty bad, he's just pretty pathetic.

[She shrugs!]

Kazuma is someone you should watch out for. He laughed when we discovered the bodies in the viewport. There's no way someone like that can be trusted.
tacklefordwhimsy: Since when do I have a fanclub? (This is troubling)

[personal profile] tacklefordwhimsy 2016-07-08 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Kazuma? He...laughed?

[Shelley looks pretty surprised about that. Kazuma is a sweetheart! He laughed?]

...Kazuma is a sweet kid, I didn't know...he would be the type to laugh at that...

[Yeah, she's in turmoil over it. She trusts Kazuma a lot, after all, but it seems it wasn't inconditional trust]

Like a maniac! If I hadn't been...preoccupied...I'd have slapped him myself! He wouldn't stop laughing!

[It's still a little horrifying to her. How could she forget something like that? As she recalls the entire situation, she seems a bit more distressed.]

I really wish someone else would find a body for a change.
tacklefordwhimsy: Otherwise we're screwed (Let's hope for a deal)

[personal profile] tacklefordwhimsy 2016-07-08 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
[What Shelley had thought would be a friendly conversation about antics around the ship had turned into unsettling news regarding someone she trusted a lot. It's understandable she's quite disheartened right now.

It takes her a moment to reply]

It must be traumatizing...maybe you should avoid leaving your room this Friday. It can't be a coincidence someone is found dead that day. That way you won't find a body...

holding cells, pt. 1

[personal profile] antagonize 2016-07-06 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
[W...hat........ is she even doing. He's been staring at her and he can't even begin to comprehend what the point of this is??? Maybe she's trying to cleanse herself after touching his underwear or something. Or maybe someone finally did the ship a favor and locked her in. The possibilities are endless.]

... Criminal, yes. Mastermind? Not so much.
toprotecttheworld: (50)

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-06 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
I'm absolutely both!

[Her retort is quick and loud. She goes from calmly reading something on her tablet to standing on two to feet so she can point angrily at Jason Todd. This has nothing to do with his dirty underwear, she'll never recover from that.]

I'm going to escape from this cell, you wait and see!
antagonize: (004)

[personal profile] antagonize 2016-07-07 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
Really.

[DRYLY. Go find your chill again, Jessie. It must be in that cell somewhere... or maybe Arbok ate it? It's a mystery.]

Sure you will. Try to spread the word once you get out. Maybe you'll find somebody who cares.

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-07 12:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Just because you couldn't do it is no reason to take it out on me! Shame on you for picking on a beautiful lady who's done nothing wrong!

[Aside from listing like all the necessary elements to be a criminal on her profile...and admitting to it...and carrying around a giant snake...and trashing his room.]

If you're just here to annoy me, go away! Why don't you go and bother Elizabeth, I've seen the cute messages you two seem so fond of.
antagonize: (045)

[personal profile] antagonize 2016-07-08 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Who's done nothing wrong"— Hah! That's hilarious. If being a second-rate pickpocket doesn't work out for you, you can always make a living as a comedian.

[JESSIE HAS DONE MANY THINGS WRONG. But, look. At least he didn't refute the "beautiful lady" part. He doesn't roll like that.]

Because you're here, and Elizabeth is— I don't know. Somewhere. Dead, maybe. [SHUT UP??] She might be as nonexistent as those "cute" messages.

[... Why is he killing Elizabeth off for this conversation. Wow.]
toprotecttheworld: (37)

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-08 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
Of course I could! I could make a living as a comedian, a magician, a sommelier, a nurse, an ikebana specialist, a hairstylist, the list just goes on and on. There's nothing I'm bad at.

[Team Rocket is seriously overpowered, so the insult just rolls right off of her.]

And don't you dare say Elizabeth is dead! If I weren't proving a point, I'd slap you myself! But don't think I didn't notice! I saw exactly what it was!

[She clears her throat.]

Little Elizabeth, so perfect, so sweet, she pours out all the alcohol she meets. But when I was dealing with your Mankey-sty [pigsty] of a room, I noticed she only turned on your sink and hid your bottles.
antagonize: (046)

[personal profile] antagonize 2016-07-08 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Okay. But are the insults rolling off her as hard as he's rolling his eyes over here? Probably not!!

... Never mind that her rhyming skills are kind of impressive? What the actual fuck, Jessie.]

It's not my problem if she decided to go soft on me. I didn't ask her to hide them. She did that on her own. Anyone else, anyone smart would have poured those bottles down the drain.

[And the saga of throwing Elizabeth under the bus continues. This is not how you friendship, Jason Todd.]

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-08 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
Don't roll your eyes at me, you delinquent runt, I'm being serious!

[when Jessie dies she's leaving behind an episode summary of every ridiculous job she's pretended to have, okay?!]
toprotecttheworld: (41)

2/2 GO TO BED ;A;

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-08 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
She didn't decide to "go soft" on you, either! She obviously made a decision that conflicted with her morals. Don't make it all out to be her fault! You're even more awful than I thought you were.
