Monday::Med Bay::Before Secondary Event

{ For a brief amount of time, Arumat can eventually be found in this location. Granted, earlier on in this foolishness, he could have given less than a rat's ass about whatever was in here, but as time progressed and eclipsed to now, that had changed. Starting now, he's also intent on taking inventory of whatever's in here -- simply more for knowing himself if something would be missing.

Other people already pay attention to this, but he'd rather know for sure when an object or item went missing instead of relying on someone else's word.

In addition to that, Arumat did have a secondary reason for coming in here. With that in mind, he manages to locate a bottle of painkillers, and taking it within his hand. }

Tuesday early morning::Viewport

{ To no one's surprise, Arumat is keeping himself busy -- on Tuesdays (and practically almost every day's morning) this always means the running routine around the ship's entirety. Except, giving the circumstances he's having to endure, like everyone else, there's a weight added to his exercising. Literally.

That would be one Kazuma Kval, who looks probably tired out by now, and hence as to why Arumat's decided to stop running. }

I suppose this is the best place to rest now, considering you look like you're going to collapse.

Hmph. You don't usually go out on runs, do you?

[ When Kazuma wanted to get exercise, he walked the long way home from school. He couldn't honestly remember the last time he ran, unless running for your life counted.

It takes him a few seconds to respond to the question, as he's doubled over, catching his breath. His green hair is even more disheveled than usual, and his mage outfit is a mess. ]

I- yeah. [ A few breaths.]

I haven't really run in...I don't remember. [ And just sitting down.]

Wednesday-Thursday, late afternoon::Archives

{ Arumat goes ahead to drag Kazuma down into the Archives eventually, because let's be honest, it was going to be an eventuality at some point. He's impatient, but somehow keeping from grabbing any of the books and throwing it to the ground. Actually, it's more likely he threw a book at Kazuma to make him catch it.

Aside from that, he's probably perusing through the data pads first. }

[ At one point, Machias finds himself wandering into the medical wing. Not for doctor's orders or a checkup, but to see things for himself now that he had the chance. ... Of course, it looks like Arumat already beat him to the punch. ]

Arumat. [ His eyebrows raise, although momentarily, approaching closer. ] What brings you here?

{ It's not like Arumat doesn't expect someone to wander into the area -- so when he hears the faint sound of someone approaching right before coming into the medical wing, he expects a conversation.

However, he only turns around when he's actually addressed. }

Deciding to take a turn at making note of inventory, and relieving a headache from dealing with that AI.

[ He trails off, his gaze settling on the bottle before glancing away and adjusting his frames. ]

But since you're here, there was something I wanted to talk about. Do you have a moment?

{ He'll observe the boy curiously, before leaning against a counter, data pad resting leisurely in his left hand now, and the other item in his right. }

It's about, erm...

[ his eyes flash hint of somber, hesitating. he isn't one to do so normally, but a lot had happened. ]

It is no issue. I simply did what was reasonable, that is all.

{ Yet, maybe it wasn't just that. Because, while usually Arumat would have left it at that, the whole trial and its circumstances had been momentous in of itself -- if only because of everything that had occurred within it.

For once, Arumat is considering his next words carefully, because he does wish to say a little more, but less terse, and something close to heartfelt (but none of that mushy crap). }

... And I would do it all over again without a single regret.

I'd... personally like to avoid another round of almost meeting with Aidios Herself, honestly, but I am grateful.

[ Though Machias tries to stifle it with his hand, he still lets loose a slightly sheepish chuckle. It's unusual to hear Arumat speaking like this, but not unwelcome. ]

Had you not been there, I doubt I'd be standing here. Not only that, but you stood up and worked to clear my name... even though you too were also under equal suspicion. [ He's going to leave it at that, easing on the cheese but still pausing a moment in thought. ] I owe you one.

{ He notices that small laugh there; but he cannot fault Machias for it. Especially since, it's not a bad thing to be lighthearted from time to time, even moreso in recent events. }

You can start paying me back by making sure you're always present for our routine. That said, I'm not one to sit around twiddling my thumbs { Or sitting around with his thumb stuck up his ass. } and I couldn't care less if anyone took issue with it if I could do something to assist instead of nothing.

{ He had little care of his ultimate fate in the end, but if he just sat there on his ass while his fri-- Machias' life was at risk, then he could have risked endangering the boy's life again. Not to mention, on a little note but in a more practical sense, he'd rather not be accused of inaction. }

[ They take a moment to turn on, as if they've been in sleep mode for a long while. The datapads finish booting up, and immediately, a playlist pops up, as if the datapad's been programmed to bring up the video player as soon it's turned on. One of many videos in the playlist begin to play. Place your bets on who wins, guys. ]
