When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods. Except—]
- it's irresponsible! We have Hancock prowling the halls at night and I'm sure more will join his rank. Hoarding supplies isn't needed, Mister Todd!
[Yeah. That is definitely Elizabeth's voice from somewhere down the corridor.]
For the love of— Would you just listen?!
[... And that is definitely Jason, coming from the same direction. Follow the sound of their extra salty bickering, and you'll spot Elizabeth barreling down the corridors, carrying about four or five jars of the not-quite-missing salve. In hot pursuit will be Jason, who did not ask for any of this shit.]
Say what you will about it being naive or stupid to put the items back, but we need easy access. Quick access, honestly. We would have to hound you down and get into your room and - dig through your unmentionables... Now is not the time to hoard these like a child with his favorite toy -
[Off they both go, in the general direction of the medical bay. Follow them? Eavesdrop? Try to save Jason? Stop them just so you can give Elizabeth a high-five for being the hero the Pygmalion deserves? Let's be real; only one of these options (the last one) is valid. If you prefer to stumble upon them later, they'll be in the medical bay returning the salves... while bickering.
#productivity]
OPTION B: TUESDAY - THURSDAY (W/ ADAM)
(Spoilers: It's on the floor. It's the truth.)
Approach them? Set up a double date? Try to drag them out of the dumb room for some recycled air? Either way, should anybody try to take a peek at what they're reading, they're mostly looking up anything related to the ship, the AI, and the project itself, along with music, politics, and the ocasional human/Earthen history if there's anything curious to find. Nerds.]

[ you kids are being bad so she might need to administer some corporal punishment. anyhow, fiona is in hot pursuit of jason and elizabeth, following them all the way to the med bay. when they end up making it there, she crosses her arms, looking disappointed. ]
Is it really the time to fight about petty shit like this? [ she says this as if she isn't just as petty as rhys ] Look, we all have got to get along while we're stuck on this glorified murder cruise liner. You can throw dodgeballs at each other's faces when we get out of here alive.
no subject
[So, uh. Yeah. They're fighting over here.]
Do you need something from the medical bay? Or are you just here to— I don't know. Referee? Is that what you're trying to do?
[Look. He's just mad Elizabeth talked her way into his room and then hit betray on him. Don't mind him.]
no subject
[ No Miss? Either she's in a mood or 4 people telling her to drop the formalities finally got through her thick skull. Elizabeth isn't particularly thrilled to have their scene so public but when #betrayed Jason by snatching stuff from his panties drawer, but things needed to be set right. ]
Please, don't encourage her to get in the middle. The last thing we need is for someone to - oh, I don't know - get hurt.
[ She's not saying Fiona would, but she's trying to give a jab at Jason HOLDING UP THEIR MEDICAL SUPPLIES. ]
I'm just trying to return what little order we have here in the ship...
no subject
[ she does hang out with rhys, guys, she knows. elizabeth was a bit neurotic at times, but she could see where she was coming from. elizabeth was also someone she could explain things to in private, but she wasn't really at that level with jason. as such, she grimaces at him. ]
Look, I get what you were tying to do, but no one asked you to be the hero of the ship. Think we've got enough of those, honestly. There's no way to know what will happen next, such as if some crazy murderous asshole is going to use medicinal supplies to cover up a murder or if you accidentally take a big fall onto a pike and end up with a wound the size of Helios on your stomach. [ she realizes after she says this that neither of them probably know what she's talking about, but oh well. ] And Elizabeth.. go a little easy on him. We're all doing our best, okay? We can't start fighting. Not now. We might end up saying some things we regret.
no subject
[Maybe Fiona's petty sensors are defective from spending so much time around Rhys!! But, ugh. Stop taking jabs at him, Elizabeth. None of this would have happened if Alice didn't insist on making him a red herring every other case. Think about that.]
If everyone wants the salves back in the medical bay — fine. They're going back, where the next crazy murderous asshole can use them to patch up their scraped knees. I don't care.
[And wtf, Fiona... If he dies a second time, he's dying in style. None of this falling onto a pike nonsense.]
no subject
I don't want to start fighting!
[ Fiona she kept the booze in his room as a peace offering and instead they find the grandaddy of all sneaky sneaks. Jason was famous for sneaky sneaks, it seems. She has to level herself, knowing that it isn't about her. It's not - right? ]
Even with salve, there has to be some ... some tell-tale sign of usage. It will complicate things but we need it. Machias didn't need it last week but what if...
[ Please help this naive child. ]
I don't mean to cause a scene, please understand that.
[ Glance between Fi AND Jason. She's genuine guys. ]
And I certainly don't mean to burn any bridges between us.
no subject
You've gotta admit that Elizabeth is right. Even if someone didn't have the salve around, they'd find some other way to carry out whatever murder they wanted to do. It's better to have it on reserve just in case, and it's pretty obvious when some of it's taken. [ she crosses her arms. ] Even more obvious when all of it is taken.
What's your damage, anyway? Elizabeth's trying her best here.
[ time to whiteknight for her new little sister ]
no subject
I don't have damage. [JABBING A FINGER ELIZABETH'S WAY. Rude??? Fiona probably hasn't had enough booze today to deal with this.] If anything, you should be asking her that question. She's the one getting up in arms about this.
[But Jason, so are you............]
I'm going to take my leave now. You two stay here and socialize. Hug it out. Give each other a pat in the back. Whatever you usually do to bond.
[His mom is calling. Or something. Maybe. His mom is super dead.]

If jason chooses to flip through the rest of the book, he'll find that it's padded with entries on isolated viral phenomena. The first page is a preface quoting Richard Dawkins's study of the meme. This is important stuff. ]
no subject
good thing adam already stopped what he was doing or else he'd be getting elbowed over here]
Are you seeing what I'm seeing?
[FLIPPING THROUGH IT AND ITS A FUCKING COMPENDIUM OF MEMES???]
no subject
Yup, these are definitely... yeah. [ What do you even say. ] They seem kind of revered.
[ He's analyzing every page for some sort of secret message?? ]
no subject
"Revered" is one word for it... This pretty damn thorough.
[He's boggled by how many memes they have here? Though the fact that this is filed under "anthropology" is kind of...]
If this [tapping a page on like, THIS IS SPARTA] is considered human history, how long do you figure we were in those pods?
no subject
[ He snickers at the extensive pages about the rickroll, then turns back to his work. ] We should take that one out. People might get a kick out of it.

B; Wednesday
He only didn't touch them because he assumed the robots would. }
...How many hours have you two spent reading?
no subject
But, yeah. Assuming the datapads display the current time, Jason will take a moment to check what hour it is. Then he'll run some quick calculations in his head, and... shrug. Well.]
Starting from our last break? Four hours, give or take a few minutes.
[Ignore the breaks altogether and it, uh. Might have been longer than that. Confirm or deny, Adam.]
no subject
He only looks up from the book to add the cup onto the pyramid very carefully. And then he's finally looking at Arumat. ] Hey. Are you looking for something?
no subject
I am -- specifically information.
{ He's probably nearby the datapads, as opposed to books. }
That's the same reason why you two are down here, correct?
Without knowing much about our situation, it makes it difficult to plan a more proper, cohesive strategy.
no subject
[The datapads are nice, but he's missed physical books while stuck in this shitty ship. He's trying to read through most of the physical copies before dedicating himself 100% to the digital collections.]
The AI might be all hush hush about certain information, but in a place this big? There's gotta be something we could use.
[... That, and there's the fact that he'll pretty much read anything as long as it's interesting.]
no subject
After a pause, he grabs the Compendium of Memes and holds it up to Arumat. ] You might like this.
no subject
{ Arumat takes the thing without a second thought. He flips through the pages, raising a brow. He'll take note of the dates BUT... yep this is Earth stuff alright.
It'll take him a bit, but before he gets to the last page-- }
Most of this is utterly ridiculous. I assume there's something else of note in here too.
no subject
[Since, uh, it looks like new rooms are unlocked every time someone gets executed. Not very encouraging.]
There's some philosophy near the end. But nothing significant.
[It's the philosophy of memes. Does Arumat dare flip to that page?]
