WEEK 0 - Awakening
the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (0) |
friday - sunday (41) survivors ![]() You awaken with stiff arms and legs — a pervading out-of-body feeling. You may briefly find it difficult to move your limbs, only able to stare lifelessly out of the blue tinted glass in front of your eyes. It's very cold. It's so cold that your heart seems to beat only every so often. Are your eyes even open yet? It would be so easy to slip back into a deep sleep, to let your frigid body rest a while longer. That probably isn't what you want to do, though. You want out of the claustrophobic pod you've found yourself in. If you wiggle your head enough, you can turn to see other pods much like yours — other people, all in identical utilitarian outfits, made complete with an emblem on the sleeve. No matter how much you whoop, or how much they holler, none of you can hear a single thing. Until a song begins to jangle loudly. As it reaches its chorus, the pods unlock, their latches lazily swinging up above you. You can't worm yourself out of the blankets you're wrapped in fast enough. As the song reaches its inevitable end, you're met with a deafening silence and an enveloping darkness — the dim lights above only serve to showcase the room's sleek and chrome walls and floors. If you get tired of the suffocating tension in this room, you may decide to venture outside — there's an entire building waiting to be explored. A building? For some reason that doesn't seem right. There's no exit, only a nonfunctional elevator. Everything is of polished design, yet it does not feel quite right — it's much too dead. Strangely, most rooms seem to contain an identical statue, one of two twins knelt and holding a jar, as if to pour its contents to the floor. It remains one of the few rustic design elements of the area. To make matters more eerie, there are doors — rooms, it seems like — with names on plaques. Your names. Trying to twist the valves open yield nothing, however — they're locked. It's all confusing, strange, nonsensical, and everyone is so loud. Perhaps if everyone would shut up — if only you could shut them up — you could— Silence. ENTER COMMAND_ |

After waking up
[Shelley is worried about you, young girl. Are you okay?]
no subject
[She's really not okay.]
Well, I-- was just a little surprised, that's all! [There's the start of a nervous laugh]
You wouldn't have happened to see any earrings around here, have you? Or a-- c, um, a toy? A red toy...?
no subject
[But Shelley is going to look around now, either way, just because you seemed really upset]

[Jessie can't help but be amused; she, too, has lusted after men in her lifetime. She's a gorgeous catch, so why shouldn't she fantasize about gorgeous men to sweep her off her feet and then do all of the housework?
She takes a few steps closer.]
That was quite the moan. I heard it from the hallway, you know.
[Sure, maybe it was a sigh, but Jessie can tease a twerpette, can't she?]

[Marinette, upon realizing she is not alone with her new love: the door, slowly turns around with a look of dawning horror. A look that is sure to define her as she keeps getting caught being embarrassing]
I wasn't--- that wasn't a moan!
[yes, she does indeed got it bad. She straightens up right away, trying to cover up the name on the door, and coughs]
I was just-- I door this found! Er, found this door!
[She's too scandalized to get angry. Yet]

[ then at least you won't knock more stuff over?? ]
no subject
Right, of course, you're right. I'm calm, I'm calm--
[Deep breaths, Marinette, deep breaths.]
[Except that in the process of taking deep breaths, the robot slips from her hands and crashes back to the ground, loudly.]
--I'm not calm!

{ Arumat probably involuntarily made a sound of mild displeasure, albeit somewhat quietly. He's walked in on something private--and he tries to turn around to go away hopefully undetected. }

[and immediately coughs and straightens out]

after waking
[In other words: he saw all of it. It was like watching a particularly catastrophic train wreck. Awful, but you just can't look away. Please sit down and take a breather, young lady.]
You going to be okay? Or should I get ready to watch you pinch yourself again?
no subject
[This is one of the other two superheroes you have to deal with, Jason Todd. Good luck.]
I- I'll be okay! I just need to find my earrings. And my to-- I mean, my cat-- I mean, my toy cat, it's red, if you've seen it, please let me know!

Uh. First thing, take a deep breath and like. Stop. Touching things for a second.
[ he's not sure but he thinks she might be making it worse? ]
no subject
Alright! I'm not touching anything anymore!
[she lets go of the med robot she was trying to haul upright, attempting to follow his advice and breathe, and that poor abused robot clatters loudly to the ground. Again.]

You know. He'd like to, but he’d also really like to see for sure if he’s got a similar plate in one of these units too. So instead Machias audibly clears his throat, making his presence known at least before walking in. He won’t outright disturb her, but from the look on his face it's clear Marinette's already made a spectacular first impression. ]

I--- um--- I-- was just---
