WEEK 13 - I can't lie to you about your chances, but you have my sympathies.
the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (13) |
sunday (41) survivors ![]() Something in the air breaks, shattering from deep within space itself - and to accompany that sensation is a psychic scream. The ship shakes, coming to a screeching halt as a bright light explodes outside it. It pulses, not unlike a heartbeat, that crawls and crawls along at a slow, grueling pace. The last illusion has been broken, the last mental tie severed and crushed. You've done well up until now, and you can reap the benefits of Her labor; the dead walk among you, after all, and as Her scream rings out, a burst of energy shoots through the residents of the Pygmalion. It's clearly a desperate bid, but it doesn't root itself in place. Instead, you feel lighter than ever - Her attempt to claim you has only unraveled the string that kept you in place. The 40% limit has been lifted, and you are at full capacity. The chains have been broken. Go freely, heroes. taken list profiles private conversations setting rulebook ENTER COMMAND_ |

So. He keeps her close and allows her time to think it through while he chooses his words carefully.]
If by "snag" you mean body-possessing aliens then yeah. We hit four snags and then the biggest snag of all was their queen. Anybody tell you about all of that yet? You said that you had friends who were talking to the people on our ship. [Maybe he's just a little pleased that Annabeth made friends. Look it's not that she's unfriendly it's just that sometimes she's intense and scary. Nbd.]

annabeth will very calmly shift in luke's arms enough so she can throw him over her shoulder onto the floor without any actual warning because his last written message was crap and some of the jumbled emotions are still "mad". she doesn't have her dagger any longer (she may or may not have a few knives or a scapel on her person somewhere, though) but jamming your knee on someone's chest below their neck to keep them down is. effective usually???
he's free to try to stop her but yeah this is her next move. ]
You're absolutely infuriating and if you ever end a conversation on the same note as last time - either last time - I will end you.
[ like she's contemplated killing her boyfriend with a kazoo before, don't think any amount of affection keeps you safe here, luke. it's...sad that this is a form of annabeth chase's being affectionate. she usually doesn't get this pissed off if she doesn't care.

He tries to sit up and pretty much finds that that isn't happening, though he looks at her for a moment almost like he's amused and not bewildered.]
...move your knee a little, you're too close to the stab wound. [It says a lot about Luke that he's allowing this to happen. It says that he wasn't fast enough to stop her and also he knows better than to try and stop her. So here they are on the floor.]
Nice to see you, too. [Dryly. He knows she's mad but he also knows this is just Annabeth being Annabeth so he rolls his eyes.] The first time wasn't exactly my fault, by the way. And I didn't think of how to explain "we had a bunch of aliens infiltrate our ship and we've been playing for thirteen weeks and a lot of teenagers died" really tactfully or shortly. [There's a cautionary pause.] ...gonna let me up at all?
i lost this tag somehow wtf
Depends. How bad is the stab wound?
[ he did look after it, right? but yeah. after a second of letting him wonder if she plans to let him up or not, annabeth will actually, you know. get off. ]
how dare :c
Not as bad as it was when I first got it? You'd think years of fighting monsters would prepare us better for aliens. [Once she's up he's also up and facing her for a moment, mostly taking in what he's seeing. Most people wouldn't notice but she's definitely grown up a little since he last saw her. His eyes recount the beads on her necklace and he frowns in thought.] Has it really been a year? [He's not finishing the sentence with "since I died" because they both know, but...what the hell.]
ugh i know right uses fave new icon
Yeah. A little longer than that, now.
[ her fingertips find his name. it's right after one of her own half-siblings. ]
This year's bead should be...interesting. Hopefully they pick the Parthenos.
no subject
The Parthenos as in...your mom's. [He shakes his head suddenly, more serious than usual.] Annabeth, what happened? What does the Parthenos have to do with anything?
no subject
[ it's easy to rattle it off. she's lived the damn thing. ]
Also, Romans? A thing. They have a camp in California, in the Berkeley Hills.
no subject
...what. [What?] You've gotta be kidding, we just finished a great prophecy! [He's more annoyed that Annabeth got dragged into something so shortly after the last prophecy wrapped up.] How'd you find out about the Roman camp?
no subject
[ she's still salty. ]
She took Percy. We got Jason Grace.
[ ...and she'd taken ages to warm up to the guy. but jason had started off on the wrong foot by not being percy jackson. ]
Eventually we tracked Percy down at New Rome - their camp - and then a bunch of stuff happened and we had to quest to actual legitimate Greece. And I had to find the Parthenos on the way. Again: a lot happened.
no subject
Jason Grace. [...that...is absolutely a coincidence. Yeah. Okay.] So on top of all of that, then you woke up in a pod on the Nuwa and had to survive for a few weeks and here we are. [A hand comes up to rub at his eyes.] ...then again if anybody was going to find the Parthenos it'd be you anyway.
