[it's a vague guess, and he's less preoccupied with cutting her down verbally than he is about cutting her physically. Thanks to his extra tentacle appendages, he has more limbs than places she can cover, and anything he can slice at he tries-- arms, legs, chest, face-- anything to make her hurt and get her out of the way.
