Shut up. [ He's not in the mood for death jokes. Adam watches Luke surge up first before sighing and grabbing his own sword, rubbing at his head. He looks around belatedly but there's no dead bodies around which is probably good.

Everything's wet, which makes him remember that, right, the sprinklers had been going off. ] That stuff's probably not good for the plants. What was it? [ He doesn't really want to interact with it anymore, so he grabs Luke's arm with his free hand to lead him out. ]

We should see what's happening with the rest of the ship.

to the viewport

[chiseler]

[To be fair, joke's on him because Backbiter sinks into the dirt suddenly for him to lean on a little, the heel of his palm coming to his forehead for a moment. What the hell was in the water…not-water…sprinklers? Maybe they should be grateful they only passed out.

He lets Adam lead him shortly after, nodding to himself.]

Can't tell ya off the top of my head, but I know it's probably not good. [Another sparing look around the garden and he nods.]

Viewport's closest to the gardens. Let's start there. [And out into the hall they go, presumably to the viewport unless something in the hall stops them. How're we doing, ship?]

[The viewport is equally soaked in the liquid, but aside from that, nothing seems to stand out.]

[ Adam's sluggish because he's feeling pretty awful but he's still managing to staying close to Luke like he's in any position to protect him.

He checks around the seats in the viewport and the controls, but he shakes his head. ] So... same thing happened here. Probably around all of the ship. Looks like no one has an alibi.

[ He keeps a hand on Luke's arm still like he's afraid of him getting away and he leads them toward the chapel. ]

[chiseler]

[Even without the leash he stays close and allows Adam to do whatever to keep himself calm. There are all sorts of questions and he keeps Backbiter drawn just in case, shaking away dizziness as they head out of the hall toward the chapel.]

You think? Or just this floor? What I don't get is what caused it. There's no fire unless you smell something I don't. [But okay. Chapel. Fuck this place, nothing ever happens here right?]

And after this maybe we should figure out where everybody else is, too.

[Like the viewport, it doesn't seem like there's anything off about the chapel aside from being hit by the sprinklers.]

No, that's why I think it has to be around the ship. We'd smell it if there was a fire on this floor, right? Unless there's a fire alarm someone pulled. [ Which is entirely possible considering they filled the sprinklers with something?

He checks around the chapel and sighs. ] Alright, everyone else. How about the lounge? That's where we all should meet up anyway.

[chiseler]

I don't think anyone pulled a fire alarm if there was no fire on this floor. Not when we're already low on power. The parlor's good but after that, maybe the other floors...this is not looking good.

C'mon. Stick close. [Back out to the hall and parlor they go...this is really starting to look strange to him. He's almost hoping the parlor's not disturbed too.] We should also check the conference room. You know what tomorrow is.

[al2955]

[The parlor smells like the sweet liquid and thirteen unwashed hobos. Aside from that, nothing appears to be out of place, though if they keep track of how much booze there's left they may notice a missing vodka bottle.]

[antietam]

Unless they just wanted us all to be asleep. [ Home sweet home. He's going to check things more carefully in here, but he doesn't think to look at the alcohol because he is apparently the one sober person on the ship. ]

Nothing? How clean is this murderer?

conference room

[chiseler]

Not that clean. [As someone who's joined the "drinking solves some things" club, he's crouched and looking at the collection of booze, puzzled expression on his face.] Looks like our killer wanted some celebratory vodka. So...that's something.

[He sighs, standing up again.] Conference room. Then are we heading up or down? [In any case, he's taking Adam's wrist and pulling him to the conference room.]

[Aside from the hallway outside where Dorian and Grell are, the conference room itself looks clean though still wet.]

You noticed that? [ Luke you have a problem they're going to talk about when their biggest problem isn't a murdership. He'll grab Luke's hand so they can both have a tight grip on each other.

... and Dorian and Grell can handle that corpse issue probably. Once they see there's nothing to be found in the conference room, he'll say: ] Lower.

[ The top floor is likely in more danger but he's not going to take the chance of Luke seeing the eyeball again, so. Off to the missing elevator. ]

[chiseler]

Yeah. [They can talk about his problems later, this is Important. He's fine with Adam taking his hand and out they go down the hall toward the elevator. The lower floor seems ideal for now.]

Jason and I were down there yesterday. Can't hurt to look again. [So what happens when they get to the actual elevator?]

[al2955]

[Once they look down the shaft, they'll see the elevator crashed and broken at the bottom. The cable's clearly been cut - unless they get Dave, they're going to need to jump and hope they don't break a leg to get down there.]

[antietam]

[ Well, there goes that plan. What jerk cut the cable? He frowns but then squeezes Luke's hand. ]

You can lower me down part of the way, I'll jump, then catch you? [ This sounds like a great idea. ]

[chiseler]

...I'm pretty sure the fumes went to your head because I know you're not this stupid. [He's staring down at the elevator at the bottom there, wincing to himself.]

I've got a better idea. Let me shoot Dave a message and hope he gets it. Either that or we just...wait here for everybody to show up. We can't be the only ones looking around by now. [He's not letting go, but he's also trying to hold Backbiter and his datapad. Let's see what we can do about getting down there.]
