| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (11) |
monday - thursday (14) survivors ![]() Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods. THIS IS FINE
Dorian will personally wait until at least a good amount of others have gone through; his mana hasn't replenished enough to cast barrier again yet, but there are always things he can try. But once they're out, and the sprinklers are going off in the biolab, pacing in the hallway.]
Well. She's dead, then?

What just happened?!

Fiona's dead. That means--
[the nuwa's fucked.]
no subject
Alya, and your father.... No, there has to be something we can do!
no subject
[do they have any time at all to figure out the sudden third option]
no subject
Not sure. I suppose we can hope Fiona was the last of them.
fionalien's body.
first things first, apart from her organs being removed, is there any sign of the thing that was in her? regardless of the answer Grell will then next look for essential organs - the lungs, the heart - and take them in hand to see if they've been affected in any way.]

In the corner of her eye, she might see the head rock a little.]

if this thing decides to sprout limbs, change shape, do anything other than act like a decapitated head is supposed to, she has her scythe in the other hand, and she is ready to act.]

...and something that resembles a foot-long cockroach made of half carapace and half flesh crawls out of her mouth.]
no subject
that happens, but at the same time she throws the head down to the floor, letting the scythe come to life as she stab down to impale the creature on her blade and letting the scythe go further into the floor to keep this pinned. there better not be any more of those in her head, because Grell will lose it at that point.]

We have tomorrow, too.
[ but it's easy to tell that she's shaken, too.
... even if she's covered in blood and guts and her arm is severely burned ??? ]
Think we can try to save them? Luke.
no subject
I...don't know. [He blinks suddenly, staring at her then.] Yuno, your arm--you need to get that looked at.
no subject
I'll wash it. ...But my mom's on that ship, and I'm worried.
[ the least she could do was try to ensure that thing was dead, but... well. ]
no subject
We still have 'til tomorrow. We can still figure something out, we just have to wait. It's...we have a trial tomorrow don't we?
no subject
Judar can't die because of this.

[This doesn't mean they have to give up on trying to somehow. Persuade Alice to help them. But he doesn't imagine it will yield results. He's taking it hard; it's not even necessarily about the deaths, which are too abstract right now. But he's tired of failing.]
What did you learn from the test? Or was it all a bluff? You certainly weren't told anything by the graveyard this week. If they could have contacted us, showing up here physically wouldn't have been necessary.
[His tone is stern, but not exactly accusing. This should have been prevented, but he knows for all his complaining about the plan, he never put his foot down or tried to stop this. He should have, but sometimes it gets tiring to have his good intentions immediately spat on. He's not going to do that back, at least, not now. The morning is another matter.]

All I can do is apologize for this. That's it. That's the only thing I can do now. [Or at least it's the only thing he wants to say to Dorian about this.]
no subject
[He doesn't say it harshly, just sort of disbelieving. After all this, Luke won't do them the courtesy of telling them whether Fiona was the only one they'd gotten results for?]
I don't really need or want an apology. You tried something and it. Well, it worked, to some degree. All I should like to know is what you learned from the test, and if you haven't a mind to share it, I'd like to know why.
no subject
We definitely found something in Fiona's blood. That's what I got anyway, or something. Jason's the one who actually looked and I mean...you don't double-take at something like that. That's how we knew.

[There's a lot that can be discussed later, once they figure out what to do about the Nuwa and Judar, but for now there's really only one question that mattered.]
Can there be others besides Fiona?
