WEEK 1 - Investigation
| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (1) |
friday (?) survivors ![]() Friday careens around the corner soon enough, much like every day preceding it does. This morning, however, is greeted with a surprise — your datapad is making a strange noise. Perhaps it's buried under the duvet you're sleeping under, or at the far corner of the room, maybe you're the forgetful type and left it in the bathroom, or maybe, just maybe, you have it right next to your ear when a song blasts at full volume. Upon inspection, you'll find the accompanying video is playing as well. The song seems to loop, this time being overlain with a voice recanting the history of the band in a steady, robotic tone. Was it the AI? You probably didn't care, and, instead, decided to leave your room. Once you do, the song finally ends. You are free. You may feel rather manipulated right now, or you are just satiated to be away from the music. Either way, it's clear your day has only just begun. ENTER COMMAND_ |

That's kind of what we do. Show up, save the day, the whole she-bang.

[they'll respect her when she Lucky Charms them out of this! No?? No!!]
Regardless, you can rest easy with us on the case. We'll get you home as soon and safely as we can.

That's great, I'm sure we can trust you two cuties to handle it. [ b u t ] What's your plan for that, tho? I mean, superheroes or whatevs usually have plans right?

[winks]
[but i mean all plans usually are so SHRUG EMOJI]

We're out to find the killer before the trial begins. They must have had some correspondence with the person behind all of this, no? They wouldn't have just killed someone on the spot. We can start with that.

Well, usually killers are found before trials, so that makes sense. Like, legally. Like they find a suspect, then put him on trial with lawyers and a jury and shit. I dunno if this trial is gonna be like that.
What if, tho, they did kill someone random on the spot? There was that motive thing Tuesday, right. Maybe they ran into suit lady and thought "yep looks killable to me" and just went for it? If not, how are you gonna find this possible correspondence? If it was verbal, we've got no security cams or tape recorders to find out. They could have agreed to meet or somethin' in the daycare via letter, that would help, but that's just a maybe?
[ are superheroes also detectives, real question ]

According to the "rules", they're supposed to give us a "pool" of suspects, and we have to figure out which is the right one and... vote. Since that's what everybody wants in a judicial system: a popular vote to find out who gets permanently "retired".
[retired FROM LIFE... he'll again leave the details up to ladybug because he is the greatest partner, ever,]

That's during the trial, mon chaton. [flicks his bell] Our aim is to find the killer before then.
[To Roxy...]
People must have spoken to this [Calmyso Ew? What was her name again??] woman. We can rebuild a rapport from there. Regardless, I'm not so sure someone would just kill anyone on a whim-- she was stabbed and left for dead in the daycare.
[that's trickier, but....] We can start by looking for the murder weapon.

[ ANYWAY ]
Havin' a pool of suspects would help a bit there, really. Probs no need to rush that much, right? They're not 'bout to kill again.
[ though she admires their determination. er, the furry couple not the killer. ]
Man I'm not sure what's worse, being killed on whim or being killed by someone you even kinda vaguely knew. [ either way sucks to be crystal blue ] Hmmm. Well, everyone was lookin', so maybe it turned up? I doubt you can easily hide a weapon 'round here.

We are, aren't we?

Anyway, have you investigated anything, R--- mademoiselle?
