friday (?) survivors Friday careens around the corner soon enough, much like every day preceding it does. This morning, however, is greeted with a surprise — your datapad is making a strange noise. Perhaps it's buried under the duvet you're sleeping under, or at the far corner of the room, maybe you're the forgetful type and left it in the bathroom, or maybe, just maybe, you have it right next to your ear when a song blasts at full volume. Upon inspection, you'll find the accompanying video is playing as well. The song seems to loop, this time being overlain with a voice recanting the history of the band in a steady, robotic tone. Was it the AI? You probably didn't care, and, instead, decided to leave your room. Once you do, the song finally ends. You are free. You may feel rather manipulated right now, or you are just satiated to be away from the music. Either way, it's clear your day has only just begun. ENTER COMMAND_

[ Alita will be strolling in here as well, happy to see the handsome butler guy still around. ]

Oh— Good morning, Frankenstein. I suppose the music woke you as well.

[The statue stares judgmentally.

But no, doesn't look like there's anything unusual here.]

It did - if you seek more tea, I'll see about preparing some in a moment, Alita.

[But for right now it seems there's a bit of chaos. There are children making a mess in the medical bay (DAVE. ROSE.) so he'd rather not... even look at it at the moment. Rather, he'll continue to take his look around here, turning chairs as he goes.]

I hope it didn't interrupt your beauty sleep too badly.

I would love some. You make the best tea on the ship.

[ She says this as if anyone else offers to make her tea. Either way, she's happy to see that nothing odd is happening in the conference room. She stares back at the statue, feeling a bit uncomfortable in its presence. ]

It shouldn't be so bad. I may have gotten a forehead wrinkle from being awoken so abruptly, but it's nothing a little cream won't be able to fix. As well as your tea. It's full of all the right antioxidants.

Just because we're in space doesn't mean it's time to slack on self-care. If anything, the adjustment to the environment means that it's all the more important to do so, else running the risk of falling ill.

I agree. I'm not an astronaut, but I think the pressure in space is different, so I'm trying my best to adjust to the difference. Especially considering we weren't allowed showers the first three days.

[ She's still salty about that. Just as she says this, though, the body announcement echoes over the speakers. Alita's expression noticeably darkens. ]

.. Y—You don't really believe that, do you, Frankenstein? It's been so long since we were told to do this.. I thought maybe we would be able to ride it out.

[brooches]

[ After the notifications go off about a body discovery, a few minutes pass. Around five or so and Elizabeth will enter on one of her many room stops to inform people of the crime scene. Her blouse bloodied, smeared with bloody fingerprints but nothing too morbid. Her hands now clean, she calls out - even seeing afamiliar face: ]

There's someone in the daycare... We found a woman -

Thus far AL-2955 has been difficult to receive information from - but she has not necessarily been incorrect.

When Elizabeth then comes in, his brow furrows and he's immediately moving to exit the room. Though before he does so, he places a hand on her shoulder, a calm and reassuring smile crossing his face.]

Take care of yourself. Hot tea to calm your nerves and then breathing exercises. If you can manage it, a game of Tetris can reduce psychological tension after trauma. [Fun fact!] Doctor's orders, understand?

[Aaaaand then he's totally leaving, bye Franky.]

[ And then there were two. Alita assumes she won't be getting that tea now. She turns to Elizabeth, looking aghast at her blouse. ]

T—That's.. their blood?! Oh my God.. I can't believe this is happening..

[ She backs away from Elizabeth a bit, not thinking to ask if she's okay. Alita's more concerned about herself right now. ]

[ RUDE?? She's going to give her a judgmental glance. ]

I can only assume - it was in.. the ballpit. The body was found not too far away.
