friday (?) survivors Friday careens around the corner soon enough, much like every day preceding it does. This morning, however, is greeted with a surprise — your datapad is making a strange noise. Perhaps it's buried under the duvet you're sleeping under, or at the far corner of the room, maybe you're the forgetful type and left it in the bathroom, or maybe, just maybe, you have it right next to your ear when a song blasts at full volume. Upon inspection, you'll find the accompanying video is playing as well. The song seems to loop, this time being overlain with a voice recanting the history of the band in a steady, robotic tone. Was it the AI? You probably didn't care, and, instead, decided to leave your room. Once you do, the song finally ends. You are free. You may feel rather manipulated right now, or you are just satiated to be away from the music. Either way, it's clear your day has only just begun. ENTER COMMAND_

[Clover's one of those people who isn't actually a person until she's had her coffee and she is especially unhappy about being woken up by datapad bullshit so she hasn't even changed out of her pajamas. Whatever who cares we're all gonna die anyway. Anything of note on the way to the process of caffeine cube preparation?]

I'm still a cup of coffee and a half away from being able to hold a conversation. [But ooooh surprises!! Clover's just gonna be getting up on her tiptoes so she can move the mug aside and grab the mysterious whatever. A reasonable person might wait until they've figured it what it is before just taking it but not Clover.] Oh, what's this...

[aaaaaand that's a body discovery announcement. to her credit, Clover only jumps a little! The person she'd be most worried about is right here, and she didn't discover a body, so this is like, relatively fine, as far as murdergames go.]

...beat you to it. ["the investigation has begun" but they ALREADY found this SICK KEY NONSENSE!!!] I'll check the cabinets and drawers and stuff. [and pajama-clad un-caffeinated Clover is going to start doing just that! WHAT ELSE IS HIDING]

While running his hands over the key, Light will likely be able to detect a small catch in the handle. It's not something that would be immediately obvious, but he's got super Daredevil blind senses, he can probably tell.]

Indeed. It seems their choice of wake-up routine wasn't merely a coincidence, which is... to be expected, I suppose. [ so safe to say this key hiding business is related to that. ] And thank you, Clover.

Mhm... [If the rest of the cabinets and drawers are devoid of anything interesting she'll be peeking around under all the tables and chairs and such next. Also is the robot nearby, can she investigate the food robot or is she gonna have to yell for it.]

I was wondering why anyone would hide something like this... With further inspection of this odd-shaped key, there's something interesting in the handle.

[He can! The handle will unfold, changing the key into a knife.]

And there we are. [ ... ] Clover, would you mind giving this a look? Its switched shape to something... quite sharp.

One mystery solved. A key that becomes a knife... Something as unique as this may have been brought on as someone's possession.

Two good ideas, Clover. I'm certain I remember a key being mentioned in the profiles explicitly...
