[Probably better to not say goodbye, then. Dorian is covering his mouth so Bull gently cups his cheek instead, leaning in to kiss him on the forehead.

They'll show something horrific happening to his body soon, he's sure, but it doesn't really matter. It's another illusion, another trick. At least he'll be free of them. He doesn't know how this would end - maybe this is the best they could have hoped for? Maybe this is the way that leaves everyone healthiest, if not happiest. Maybe it's not worth the price. Bull isn't really going to make a call. He's spent enough time dwelling on consequences for them to not even matter all that much - a useless struggle against a endless, unchangeable ocean.
