monday - thursday (23) survivors Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Well... just in general. I'm sure everyone has people they like back home.

[Marinette doesn't see why that would be odd, even if Yuno is a little... or a lot... off her rocker.]

Why would that be weird? You've made a lot of friends here, haven't you?

[thankfully only one of them is Jack, but that's still a Jack too many]

[ it's weird because yuno isn't used to it. what yuno knows is silences and cages and being deprived, being told she has to be better, that friends are distractions that she can't afford. when she looks at marinette, she briefly sees the image of her mother; a woman with a kind face and lovely dark hair, but marinette possesses a genuineness to her that yuno's mother lacked, she supposes. or perhaps it's true. let them pay. there is no reason to forgive.

and despite the thought, yuno smiles softly. maybe it's the memory, or the understanding that yes, she definitely does have a few people here she likes. that she cares about. she can imagine inviting them over to her house, however big or small it is, and enjoying their company, their friendship. it wouldn't be that bad... are they detriments? she doesn't believe so. ]

Maybe not a lot... It's hard to talk to everyone... [ especially when you don't know who is kicking the bucket next, or who might make you kick the bucket. it's a really messed up game. someone give these kids a soccer ball instead. ] Um, but. I guess so. Elizabeth and Judar. Adrien is nice. You, too. Dave and Roxy. Luke, Adam...

[Marinette's not going to lock Yuno up in a cage anytime soon, that's for sure]

[As much as Yuno does unsettle her, it does feel kind of nice that she considers Marinette her friend. Truth be told, outside of Alya, she doesn't really have any friends she can consider close back home. Before she was Ladybug, she had zero confidence. And, hey, Yuno hasn't killed anyone so far? Maybe she's just a really troubled teen.]

That sounds like a lot to me! [and Jack is not on there, thank fuck.]

But I don't think it's weird at all. Friends need each other, don't they? Especially when things are bad. We need to help each other get through this.

[ there's a statement in there that sticks to yuno. it fits her perfectly, as though it were an old sweater. they need her. friends need each other. through each other, they can get through this.

...You think so? [ yuno's box-house opens up further, and she raises a bit more, looking at marinette with a focused gaze. she is listening to everything that's being said, and calculating it, digesting it as only she could. ] We need each other...

[ they need her. yuno is needed. that's enough to get her mind moving. ]

but really, when yuno finally stands up to face marinette entirely, she might get the impression that yuno's actually listening, that she is actually processing everything that she's saying. remarkable. ]

[But she's trying so hard. She wants to believe. Marinette's not an idiot, but for the moment, there's nothing strange enough going on for her to reconsider. She's a little hesitant, or awkward about it, but!! She's a hero]

Of course! I mean... I am a hero. It's my job to get as many people out safely as I can.
