[ Adam is leaving his room very quietly, pausing when he hears conversation in the hall. He peeks around to confirm it's Bull and Dorian, some of the few people he'd stop to talk to on a Thursday night. He steps out and gives a concerned look at Dorian. ]

Is he alright? It's not the best week for him to drink.

[Looking up when he hears Adam's voice, but he's scowling a little.]

I am right here. Not so far gone yet that I must be fussed over.

[Patting Dorian's back. :( Like he's a dumb baby.]

Is there a good week to drink? I tasted it, it was safe.

[ Slightly concerning to see his role model like this... but also good for the dorabull ship. ]

Hi Dorian. [ And then like he's not there: ] You'll stay with him, right? I can stay up and keep guard, too.

[ Adam steps back, both because of the possibility of puke and the bad mood Dorian seems to be in. ]

Sorry, I just... When I heard you were vulnerable, I got real worried. And now you're not even in your right mind. [ Is he getting mad? ] Aren't y'all taking this seriously? At all?

[Oh. He definitely has the grace to look a little ashamed, covering his eyes with one hand as though he has a headache, looking away. That's right; there are people who care about him here. Somehow he keeps forgetting. His head is still foggy, but he makes an effort to speak a little more clearly.]

I think you'll find, as you come to know me, that this is exactly how I take things seriously. [With a little more sincerity.] I'm sorry for worrying you. But I'll be fine; it isn't as though I haven't experience.

[Bull doesn't look shamed, but he doesn't look proud of himself either. Maybe a tinge of worry.]

It's stress. We deal with it different ways, just overdid it a little this time. He'll be fine - promise. If someone wants to take him out, they're going through me too. Not many people here left can do that.

[ He lets out a sigh as he calms down, then scuffs his shoe on the floor. ]

I know. Didn't mean to overreact. I think you two are probably the safest on the ship. [ He still looks worried. ] Is there anything I can do? Even just get you something from the medbay.

[Smiling weakly. Though he feels like shit now. Trust him to be exactly the sort of person you can depend on for a display like this.]

I think some rest is in order, more than anything else. Come, surely you've better places to be than fussing like this.

Yeah, stay safe is what you can do. Keep an eye out.

[Tapping his eyepatch. In case Adam needed to GET THE JOKE.]

[ He gets the joke. And he laughs. Bull's teenage boy-level of humor has cheered him up. ]

Honestly, I'm just biding time before going to Luke's room. I don't want the robots kicking me out too early in case there hasn't been a murder yet. [ He'll smile apologetically at Dorian. ]

I don't mean to keep you up. I know it's hard to... Anyway, I'm glad you two have figured things out.
