[Actually, Judar looks fascinated by this. Look, that sweet robot arm was the only thing that caught his attention about Rhys right up to the point where he stabbed Jack. If he knew anything about how it worked, he'd want to steal it too.]

I knew a guy who could shift his prosthesis into different shapes when he needed to - comes in real handy during a fight. You think you can do anything similar?

[Also yeah, he's also got pink ribbons in his hair and glitter pink eyeshadow and probably even actual pink accessories with his clothes. All of which he wears with zero shame.

Uhhh, doubt it. That sounds super badass, don't get me wrong, but shifting sizes and shapes? That's like-- Okay, you have "magic" or whatever, but generally speaking, that's not physically possible. As in law of conservation of mass, princess.

[ Dammit no zero(ish) G murders? How lame!! Jack will just continue leading to his preferred places of interest, I guess, so the robotics lab will be next. ]

That, and I dunno, don't think this place would have the facilities for that kinda thing anyways. I'm thinkin' real basic. Just-- Just, you know, purely mechanical to get the job done.

[Rolling his eyes!] I know about the law of conservation of mass. [how the fuck oh right this is the series that develops magic cellphones from ye olde fantasy times in three years] His prosthetic was composed of living organic material, all he had to do was accelerate its growth. Anyway, I'm not saying make a giant fucking dragon out of it, just shift some metal around. Can't be that hard to hide a blade or something like that under the plates.

[gosh for someone whose life has completely fallen apart Clover sure does look fabulous!!! look she's actually accessorized today and her makeup is sparkly and perfect even if she's pretty much as forlorn as ever trotting behind the j-team right now. This is just another thing she's accepted as part of this just being how life is now; she goes on murder investigations with these pink-adorned assholes. She's giving Judar an incredulous look at the prospect of shapeshifting prosthetics and even if prosthetic talk makes her sad she does add, helpfully—] Maybe give someone else instructions. Have them be an extra set of hands.

[ There's a strange noise coming from the printer, as if it's trying to alert to something. That stands out at first sound, at least. ]

I mean, I can do it. I think. Just, y'know, shifting from right-handed to left-handed, kinda weird. And with precision work, that can be a problem? At least I'm not trying to actually, y'know, graft it into me or anything.

[ That sure would suck, considering he'd probably pass out from the pain? And that would be, like, super lame. ]

...But. A hidden blade is a really good idea.

[ Looks like the printer is printing out a banner that says "#votejack" in big bold font



Nah. Actually, it's not printing anything, but it's definitely on. There's a glowing green light on the power button, and the digital display reads, plainly, "QUEUE EMPTY". ]

It's not like there's a lot else to do on this ship while we wait for the next murder, so you'll have plenty of time to work with. Plus it's against the rules to commit suicide, so if you fuck up bad enough that you almost kill yourself, Ass Lice will probably step in.

[listen...LISTEN...he's honestly shocked that prosthetic didn't already have a hidden knife it's not his fault. Also he has no idea what a printer is, so he's just looking over Jack's shoulder curiously.]

[An understanding nod as she follows her way along to the mysterious printer noise, followed by more unfortunate enabling.] That might work. [why clover......... she has no place to judge, she's got the injection gun hidden on her person all the time, she's probably carrying around the meat cleaver right now?? tagging from work is tough or that would've occurred to me earlier but why wouldn't she just be hefting around the meat cleaver throughout murderday. ugh Clover.] Would messing it up that bad count as accidental, though? [THIS ISN'T A CONVERSATION THAT PEOPLE HAVE, STOP

She's peering around from Jack's other side at the printer, though.]

Was someone using this? They must have printed a lot if they built up a queue...

Yeah, that's what I figured, at least. Would've started on this week, but, eh.

[ Jack doesn't elaborate, but it's not really hard to guess. Even Jack, pinnacle of stubbornness, was really too injured to actually work on it. But he's getting better. Or just bored. Either way, now his new hand is definitely going to include some kind of weapon, so that's pretty sweet.

Though luckily, instead of shifting the conversation to what kind of weapon he should put in it, they should actually, like. Investigate. Jack steps up to the printer and touches the printing area first to see how warm it is, but after that, he'll start tapping at the display to see if he can get any more information. ]

Probably more dicks.

[ The printing area is cool to the touch. As for the display, checking the history yields nothing. On the other hand, tapping the print button pulls up a picture of something called

Test Model.

Judging by all the notes on the display image, it's probably used to plug some holes, if you catch my drift. ]
