WEEK 7 - Investigation
| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (7) |
friday (?) survivors ![]() Friday comes, and with it, another alarm. At 7:00 AM, an upbeat, glitzy song plays, the beat thumping loud enough to feel it course through your veins like a bad high. It gets louder and louder, and you feel like your datapad's speakers might explode, but once it ends, there's complete silence. taken list profiles setting rulebook ENTER COMMAND_ |

Garbage Disposal Room, 7:15AM???? i'ts mornig
SO. Jessie and Arbok will come to the garbage disposal room in the morning. She spent some time there the day before, maybe she's come to pick something back up? Are the chairs still here, does it still look like a powwow was had.]

Oh! Great minds think alike.
[If there's anyone she'd love to investigate with, it's Jessie]

There's nothing great about this!
[It's time to search for an emergency off switch--there are control instructions nearby, right? How does Jessie shut this thing off?]
We need to shut this thing off!
no subject
The controls are over here.
[Shelley gets to it and examines it. How does this work? Why do things have to be so difficult? It takes Shelley a minute to find the correct buttons to turn off the incinerator, but she manages to do it.
Or she gives Jessie the instructions. Whatever works! The point is that after a minute or two, the incinerator is finally turned off]

Arbok! You watch the door!
[He chaw's in response and goes to the doorway.]

[She crouches down, squatting as she starts to gently disturb the ash. She's wearing gloves so she's not too worried about being burned, but it's clear there's something there.]
Did you see anything on your way here?
no subject
[Shelley approaches slowly, looking nervously at the pile of burned objects. Is that safe to touch? Most likely not, so Shelley carefully moves the stuff with her shoe, taking away the ash]

The first Jessie will manage to pull out. It's a piece of burnt and partially melted metal. It's big enough to fit in her palm, but it's hard to tell if it's the whole thing or if part of it is disintegrated.
The second Shelley will find. It's a burnt and charred piece of paper. Really, piece might be doing it too much service — it's more like a tiny scrap, about as long as her index finger. There's some color on one side, but the other side is blank. ]

[She finds the burnt metal, but since it's still molten she'll leave it where it is, instead pushing the ash out of the way while it cools down. What shape does it have? Color? Does it look like anything?]
What did you find, Shelley?
no subject
I found some kind of...paper. If it weren't because a murder happened I would think this is common trash.
[Colors on one side, you say? What kind of colors?]
no subject
The piece of paper's color has bled far too much to discern much by looking at it. It's just a scrap. Totally inconspicious, right? If this wasn't a murdergame obviously. ]

[Jessie has no idea what to make of her piece or the piece of paper Shelley is holding up at all. She doesn't know who here has photos and who doesn't. But if there are colors on one side...]
We need to keep looking. There might be other clues around.
[She'll take the burned metal once it's cooled off, but now it's time to keep investigating.]
no subject
I doubt it. Who in this place would have pictures and why would they want to burn it? It's more likely it was a wrapper, or a map, or something similar to that.
We won't know for sure until the trial, I guess.
[She's following your lead, Jessie]
