Wouldn't be the first stupid mess I've been caught up in. [But that hadn't really turned out great either. He seems to cow just a little at the idea of disappointment, which is weird in and of itself. But it seems to work. For a moment, he looks at Frankenstein before he lowers his voice to be only to where Franken can hear it. Or, he, like, approached him to talk directly to him, whatever works so that it's between them.]

I've been given a second chance. I'll try not to screw it up this time. That's the most I can promise you, but I also don't know if I can promise not to get involved. It's kinda in my nature. What else can I do?

Only once I'm gone - believe it or not, I'd loathe for you to become injured for my sake.

That said... well, I know that youth can lead you to do some wild things. [He didn't get all of this powers by rubbing a lamp, alright. So at that he's going to allow his smile to turn sharper.] I expect you to make sure that it's worth it.

[That's fair. His own grin turns a bit sharp and he nods to himself.]

I don't really go down easy. You've got nothing to worry about. [Though there's absolutely fear in his eyes because he's very, very worried about what this means. Without Frankenstein, without someone even remotely powerful and responsible, what the hell comes next? He's not sure he's ready to be a parent??? But in all seriousness he absolutely believes that to be true. He was brought back from the Underworld for a reason. He'll do what he can now not to screw it up, now that he understands his purpose. The day before he and Adam had argued about what Luke's place in the world was now that he's back. He thinks, perhaps, this is it.]

I'll make sure all of those kids who've decided to trust me get out of here in one piece. [And there's a pause before...he awkwardly extends his hand for a handshake.] Until next time?
