WEEK FIVE - Investigation

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (5)

friday

(?) survivors

Friday comes, and with it, the return of alarms for all the late-risers out there; those up before 9:00 AM will have an alarm-free morning. This one thankfully is a pretty gentle duet, the soft keys jangling you awake. It's not as invasive as some of the previous alarms, as once it ends, it just ends. It doesn't keep playing until you leave your room. If you check your datapad again, however, it will play the song again. It seems it's beckoning you somewhere, somehow, and you feel drawn to explore the ship, however anxious you may be.

Tentatively, you leave your safe haven.

[at least Lady Alice is making the alarms more bearable to listen to nowadays. but she can't stay in bed for too long, not with that strange urge to look around. things...probably were happening, and it was best to be alert. so she goes to make her quiet rounds, praying that this morning, like many others, the garden would have been left alone for another day.

entering in, the door's left wide open to say someone's gone in, and Grell begins to look around. are the plants visibly alright? is anything not getting the proper tending it needs...

oh yeah, and if there's another dead body hidden in here, can it become fertilizer this time]

[good, leave the poor plants alone!]

[ugh why are mornings. Clover had to pick between being cognizant for dead body scavenger hunting, because someone's totally dead why wouldn't they be, and being presentable. she chose the former and that is why she is here in her pajamas, like a champ. she's carrying around a mug of coffee and making an effort to look mildly less ready to go back to bed because a person is here.]

Morning. [where's the corpse]

Good morning, Miss Clover.

[Clover's in pajamas, and Grell's somehow already prim and proper for the day with her hair in a loose braid. being awake and being presentable weren't mutually exclusive, though she does take another look at that coffee almost longingly...]

It seems that this week this room's been left alone. Which is fair, considering what it's already been through...though it must be too much to expect people to remain peaceful for longer than a week.
socloverit: (you found a way to break out)

[Grell is just a more put-together person than Clover in general, this shouldn't be too surprising. On the bright side, these pajamas are probably the most clothes Clover's worn since she got here?? This situation is a win, really.]

Oh, good. [This means there's nothing in need of her immediate attention! And also we've all received enough garden-related trauma, that, too. She slurps idly at her coffee.] I'm just impressed we made it this long. [talk to her when you can't go a full three hours without someone new turning up exploded tbh]

[that's disgusting and not at all a beautiful murder.]

I was half expecting someone to end up slaying someone they were handcuffed to out of stress and irritation. But I shan't say more, lest I give our lady overseer any ideas on how to play with us next.

[love you, Alice, but also you listen for ideas.]

This is simply one of the few places on the ship where someone can actually find beauty.
